    THANK YOU! Every source I've found so far uses one terminology or another for weather the switch is on or off without actually saying which one turns the pump on or off. Finally you grouped all the like terms together that describe which switch I have.

    Thanks! I need to replace a basement sump pump that cycles every 7 seconds so your video is a great help.

    I have a countyline, 1HP 120/240vac 12/6amp. Do I need a float switch based on the 1HP? Or the 12/6amp? Thank you for all of your great videos. I have learned a lot from them.

    Hello sir,
    I would like to see if I can get your advice on how to make sure I don’t get toilet paper build up on my float switches. It seems like every 3-4 months I have to open up the sewage basin to clear up the build up that is weighing the floats down and don’t switch the pump on. We never put anything other than human waste and toilet paper down the toilets. I got a 2HP Liberty pump grinder with 2 float switches. Thank you in advance.

    sir we have a duplex 3 phase sewage pump system in our kitchen area with high oil content . We have been using float switches for running of the pumps. The float switches fail very often due to the cord becoming hard due to the oil. I am interested in Sje Rhombus C level floatless switches which might solve the problem. Please suggest any other alternative

    Hello and thanks for your vids. I need to replace the switch on a Zoeller pump. I'm guessing I don't have much choice but the one listed for it. Any words of wisdom on the Zoeller pump?

      Does your float have a separate cord that your pump plugs into or is it just 1 cord coming from the pump? If the float is separate, you can easily replace it with another piggyback type float. If it is wired into the motor housing i'm afraid you'll have to take the motor apart and wire in the replacement. If you lost the owner's manual you can find it on our website (rcworst.com).

    I have an air pump with 2 pulley wheels that runs on 1HP 115/230v. It pumps potable water into a cistern. I currently have a square D float lever switch that keeps jamming or just failing. Prices on those keep coming up. From what I understand I need an NC switch of some sort. It also needs to be able to be hardwired an placed in potable water. Any recommendations?

    Thanks, good info! Any idea of which float switch would work in a deep well? We've got a well with very slow recharge and want to periodically pump up to a storage tank. Need to turn it off when level gets too low but then turn pump on when level high. Was thinking the Double Float Master would be ideal (with 4 feet separation) but the well is only 6 inches in diameter, so not enough room to engage the switch, right? Any suggestions?

      @RCworstwater  Před 4 lety

      I'd suggest using a float switch in your cistern, not the well, to turn your pump on and off based on how full the storage tank is. You'd also need to use a Pumptec or other motor protection device to shut your well pump when it runs dry. The motor protection devices also come with a built-in timer for resetting the pump automatically. Give us a call and we can help you find the right equipment: 855.329.4519

    230 volt deep water well pump. FRANKLIN. WITH CONTROL BOX. Below frost line 500 gal. cistern. I require a float switch. The float switch is installed in the cistern and wire goes from the switch to the Franklin control box in the house? Or, the switch directly wires into the 4 wire power line from the house to the switch to the deep water well pump? I presumed the float switch piggy backs on the pump power line because of comments regarding pump amperage . . . .

    Thanks for the info. Great speaking skills man! Not easy to speak that much without a ton of edits. Quick question for you, what do you recommend for a rain barrel (24" across, 48" deep) when you want the switch to trigger once the barrel is full - more or less - and to pump down to empty. basically, I want the pump to only turn on when the barrel is full and shut off when empty so the pump is not draining a battery moving small amounts of water. All or nothing! Thanks.

      @imaphxaznative Před 3 lety

      I would think you would use the wide angle float switch connect in the midpoint between full and empty so when the barrel is full the float will be @ the highest possible angle which will activate the pump until the barrel is almost empty again and the float is now @ the lowest possible angle which will deactivate the pump. This might require a piggyback where the switch plugs into the wall first and the pump plugs into the back of the switch plug so when the switch is activated so is the pump

      What brand/type of switch do you have? The SJE Rhombus float switches that we sell come with a 5-year warranty, you can check them out here: www.rcworst.com/Float-Switches-c314.html

      I believe anything but their mercury switches are rated for potable water. If you have more questions please give us a call: 855.329.4519

      They make specific ones with a stamp on it that says WPS near the date stamp (water potable switch)

    Why would the length of the rod be limited? I can buy rod in any length. This isn't rocket science.

    This video is not as good as your other videos, that unfortunate.
    Since there are 11 models, why don’t you make a table, sort them in category and show the specs and numbers and applications? A table is worth a thousand words.
