I have loved this series for years. I desperately want a new game with an updated graphics engine, not on open gl no it runs a bit smoother, but hot dang I love combat mission

That it's realistic enough to be taken seriously as a military training tool is what I love about Combat Mission.
Very interesting to see modern British forces, which are currently only available in Combat Mission: Shock Force, in action against modern Russian forces, which are only available on Combat Mission: Black Sea. I had heard that forces from different titles in the commercial versions could be mixed together in the professional version of Combat Mission. I guess my question is are the British forces of Combat Mission Pro the same 2008 British forces we know from Shock Force or are they updated to the standard they were at in 2017 so they aren't a decade behind the Russian forces (which I assume are the same 2017 Russian forces we got in Black Sea)? Or is it a moot question due to a lack of significant changes in British equipment and organization from 2008 to 2017?
I did notice the British forces that showed up in this footage are in their Shock Force desert tan (I'm pretty sure there are mods if you want them in more appropriate European camo).
The reason being was due to the fact that the above issue to countries was custom made.
It needs a new engine and optimization but it's got that niche market cornered. It would be too bad if someone else beat them to the finish line on those upgrades.
