First video i saw on the channel and this is 100% why i enjoy youtube, the "yea i can do it better" spirit. Awesome video
Wow great job Eric!
Thanks!
New shop looks great Eric! Awesome Job on this bulk install 😃
Thank you sir!!
Yeah his new shop is awesome 👌
Oh yeah!!!
Wow phenomenal job!
🙏🙏🙏
Thank you
you just inspire me to do this 🙂. I.m going to start with an 2023 RS6 😂
Great video. Wish you had a shop in Southern California. I wanted full PPF for my 2022 GMC Canyon AT4. But I got a few prices wow over $6,000
$6,000 is a very reasonable rate for a full vehicle professional PPF install.
Nice work. I’m going to try this myself. What solution do you recommend to use?
great video thanks Eric! question how do you minimize lift lines?
Change to a lower lifting technique. Hard to explain.
@@DriveProtected oh ok gotcha thanks bro
At the end when you were cutting the bumper out were you just lightly applying pressure or with the ppf there it won’t cut paint?
Nope. When trimming PPF, you want to apply light pressure on the knife so it scores the film. Once done, the film should peel off leaving the paint untouched. To sum it up, when “scoring” you’re only cutting like 60-70% way through the film.
Gotta love them RAMS lol
🙏🙏🙏
👍 top
🙏🙏🙏
Hello, very nice shop! Is that paint on the floor or epoxy? Thank you!
Thank you. It is epoxy with two layers of a polyspartic top coat.
@@DriveProtected Thank you!
I think I’ll be doing that to my garage but maybe with a slight darker color.
You trim film like a surgeon. How many times did you break off the blade to get a fresh one during the entire bumper install? Also, what squeegee are you using?
I’d say I went through an entire blade during all the trimming on this bumper. You need that blade as sharp as possible for the best quality cuts. Squeegee I’m using is the pink one off our site, www.DriveProtected.shop
is it better to learn bulk vs kits?
Kits by far!
The big shops do they typically do pre-cut kits or the same as you do bulk install?
I’d guess most shops are doing pre-cut patterns. Just my assumption
I’d assume most shops do pre-cut patterns
What film do you use ?
Defense+
What is the ppf brand you use please ? Mine is a bodyfence x but I find it less sticky than yours… 🤔
Defense+
@@DriveProtected suntek ? You videos have helped me to install mine… but I’m deceived for my bodyfence film.. no a so Good quality … Moreover when you strech it
No our film is called Defense+. We are not associated with SunTek.
@@DriveProtected oh ok sorry… where can I order it… I’m french 😃
@@DriveProtected where can I order it ?
What is in spray bottles?
Slip and tack solution.
Soap & Water for slip, Alcohol & Water for Tack.
Why doesn't he use a tank instead of the sprayer bottles?
We just started!
