What are the most fun places to visit in Siem Reap Cambodia and why you should travel there in 2023.
Siem Reap is a city in north-western Cambodia that is known for its historical and cultural significance.
In this video, we delve into what makes Siem Reap such a fun place.
There is so much to do and so much fun to be had.
Here are some of the most fun places to visit in Siem Reap:
    Angkor Wat:
This is one of the most famous temples in Siem Reap and one of the largest religious monuments in the world.
It was built in the 12th century and is a must-see attraction in Siem Reap.
    Bayon Temple:
This temple is known for its massive stone faces and intricate carvings.
It is also located in the Angkor Archaeological Park and is another must-visit temple.
    Pub Street:
This is a popular area in Siem Reap known for its nightlife, restaurants, and street vendors.
It is a great place to grab a drink, try some local food, and people-watch.
    Angkor Night Market:
This market is a great place to shop for souvenirs and handicrafts.
There are also plenty of food stalls and bars in the area.
    Tonle Sap Lake:
This is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and is home to many floating villages.
You can take a boat tour to see the villages and learn about the local way of life.
    Banteay Srei Temple:
This temple is known for its intricate pink sandstone carvings and is located outside of the main Angkor Archaeological Park.
It is a bit of a drive from Siem Reap, but well worth the trip.
    Cambodian Cultural Village:
This is a theme park that showcases traditional Cambodian culture and customs.
There are traditional dance performances, demonstrations of handicrafts, and replicas of famous Cambodian landmarks.
These are just a few of the many fun places to visit in Siem Reap.
It is a city rich in history, culture, and natural beauty, and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
What is the best time of the year to visit Siem Reap?
The best time to visit Siem Reap is from November to February, during the dry season.
The weather is mild and pleasant with low humidity, making it ideal for exploring the temples and other outdoor activities.
The dry season also means less rainfall and less chance of flooding, which can be a concern during the rainy season.
Additionally, the countryside is lush and green after the rainy season, making for beautiful scenery and great photo opportunities.
However, keep in mind that this is also the peak tourist season, which means higher prices for accommodation and more crowds at popular attractions.
If you’re looking to avoid the crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons of March to May or September to October, when the weather is still relatively dry but there are fewer tourists.
The rainy season, which runs from June to October, can also be a good time to visit if you don’t mind the occasional downpour.
The rain can actually make the temples and countryside more atmospheric, and there are fewer tourists around, which can make for a more relaxed experience.
However, be prepared for muddy roads and some attractions may be closed due to inclement weather.
Do many airlines fly into Siem Reap?
Yes, there are several airlines that fly into Siem Reap International Airport (REP), making it relatively easy to reach Siem Reap from major cities around the world.
Some of the airlines that operate flights to Siem Reap include:

    AirAsia:
This is a low-cost airline that operates flights to Siem Reap from various cities in Southeast Asia, including Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.
    Jetstar Asia:
This is another low-cost airline that operates flights to Siem Reap from Singapore.
    SilkAir:
This is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines that operates flights to Siem Reap from Singapore.
    China Eastern Airlines:
This is a Chinese airline that operates flights to Siem Reap from cities such as Shanghai and Kunming.
