The burl wood that you've used for the handle is amazing! I saw the finished sword, and I honestly thought that you'd made the handle from malachite!
That looks so good. It reminds me of a snake once you got it all glossy to show that acid finish. It's like a sword fit for Reptile from Mortal Kombat. Cool stuff indeed.
Delamination, always the biggest problem with pattern forged blades, then made doubley difficult by adding copper into the mix.... but the end result with the contrasting colours of the copper and steel, makes it really worth the work!

Not an Ulfberth... - those have the word Ulfberth inlayed in the blade. Never understood, why anyone would introduce cupper in a blade, it weakens the steel, and obviously makes the forging a nightmare. Nice result, though. 👍

I've made quite a few now. Welding solid all the way around sure helps, but yes- temp is super crucial! : cheers

It was intended a a viking sword, turned out more of a Roman short sword after the problems
