Dysfunctional American
Man anyone that has played any sport knows that MOMENTUM is a real thing!! Once you or your team has built momentum in a match its hard for others to get back in.
Not even just in sports
Also morale and purpose. Somebody fighting for their life has purpose, be it a person or group of people, and that increases clarity and focus. Then they start winning, winning feels good so it boosts their morale and that strengthens the resolve and cohesiveness of their group, and just like a 5 watt lightbulb is dim, 5 watts of cohesive light will burn.
Now they’ve got momentum, or they’re in the zone, like a runners high. The momentum is like anything that moves, it will want to keep moving and the effort or energy needed to stop it increases. The losses incurred by the enemy lowers their morale, they lose confidence, they lose their focus, then they lose momentum and the energy needed to stop their attackers, and they get mowed over.
100, its in every real sport
Facts, so many people just ignore momentum as if it doesn't exist

This one definitely upset me when it happened.

if the ufc didn't have rounds and the fights just went 1 whole round the scoreboards would definitely look different
They used to do that.
@@americandissident9062and it was horrible… often times if fight didnt end with a finish in the first few minutes you would just get to watch two completely gassed out dudes locked in a position with no hope of advancement lol
@@LKKND Right.
It was fantastic. I assure you. So was the slinky. The real one. @@LKKND
Pretty sure thats how the Greeks did it over two thousand years ago too.
It’s funny he doesn’t mention how he was grabbing Yoel’s gloves while trying to knock him out
Romero is well known for his dirty antics just ask any heavyweight that ever had a chance to share the octagon with him. I saw this fight numerous times and you are talking shit and you know it. 💯💯✔️🥶
@@jamievaughan1996 so the holding gloves didn’t happen?
@@jamievaughan1996I don't think he was fighting at heavyweight
It's fighting dummy
@@jamievaughan1996 Yoel never fought at heavyweight you dunce.
It wasnt Yoels fault , the ufc own cut man was the one that said wait .
That was a sad day in the UFC
I remember this fight and hate that he stopped after this. Hell of a fighter, hell of a soldier and even a better human.
He didn't, he got ko'd 2 yrs after the Yoel fight. That was his final fight.
and a cheater😂
Great person is def not the way I’d describe Tim Kennedy
Cringe
Watched that fight and I firmly believe it was intentional that Romero was allowed to blatantly cheat. The UFC had invested so much in him and expected him to walk through Tim that when it didn’t happen they did whatever they could to give him that fight. I lost all respect for Romero and a lot of respect for the UFC.
Tim dint need the money as bad.
🤓
ahh, so maybe i should go rob a bank and be exempt. I mean i aint doin so hot so its aight@@BushcraftQuebec
@@BushcraftQuebecahhh your Canadian.... that says it all
He cheated to hurt Yoel. And Yoel STILL changed the man's face and life. Yoel only needed 30 seconds to come back, whereas Tim?quit for good.
Pretty worrying
Soldier quits because the rules change and the game got hard
Yoel done what the ref told him to do
Gamesmanship
Holding gloves while getting punched is a foul in the UFC.
Tim forgot about holding Yoels gloves though…. Yeah that’s illegal too.
Let us not forget how Tim fish hooked the inside of Yoel’s glove to land the shot that initially hurt him.
Gloves are allowed to be grabbed. They do it all the time
@@vincentsuarez2523no it’s not it’s against the rules you casual always has been
Grabbing a glove is not even a point deduction foul, let alone a game changer. Not answering the bell to start a round is an automatic loss by TKO. There's no comparison.
@@Comando729 you're correct. Grabbing the knuckle area is illegal. However, it's perfectly legal to swat them during stand up. But, some fighters fight dirty. And, may grab the glove if it determines a victory. For, penalization is not strict enough.
Additionally, grabbing a glove during standup is extremely difficult. So, perhaps overlooked.
Kennedy was grabbing Yoels glove at the end of the second round as he landed the strikes that rocked Yoel. The ref delayed the start of the 3rd round due to excess Vaseline that was applied to Yoel by a UFC cut man.
He totally right on this one- should of happened, but he still fought after this and got smoked by Gastelum iirc, so he didn’t just “leave” after stoolgate
John took responsibility and said “ I did tell Romero to sit back down.
But he already fkck up
Did that change the outcome?
Good, if it was an honest mistake. Just seemed like utter incompetence
@@toosweet6046i'd say it did, but we'll never know.
two fighters should enter the octagon and fight until one person emerges as the winner by knockout or tap out or the other person cannot continue due to injury. screw a time limited round.
pretty sure time limits exist for one, media, and two, probably health
They're battering each other with knees and fists and elbows that can't be healthy 😂😂 @@noahfeazell3336
don't forget he held Yoel's glove
This is right up there with Anderson silva knocking bisping out
I love how Tim could perfectly recall what happened in that fight except for when he was intentionally grabbing Yoel’s gloves to land big shots in the first place lol
You van literally pull someones guard down to bust their shit. You need to actually do these sports before talking like you know.
You can’t pull gloves. Pulling guard and slipping your fingers into someone’s gloves are two different things.
@@CreeDPurifY From this comment alone, Idk if you even watch the sport let alone participate in it lmao
hes talking about striking. Pulling gloves down tto punch ini face while standing. you can do that. Called hand trapping@@VTheGuerrilla

For those wondering, at this level, the 40s would impact him like it would be an 8 hour of sleep time recovery.
Like you know personally
Bro, why are you lying?
You're talking out your ass. Kennedy pretty much spelled it out in plain english, he thought the fight was done and over and he was no longer in fight mode. Romero on the other hand was very much still in fight mode and had way more time to recover than he should have.
idk why people are hating on this comment but 40s extra is huge op is right though hyperbolic
@@bevans4712 Nobody said it wasn't huge, it definitely is. OP said it was equivalent to 8 hrs of sleep and that's just BS.
