Maryland County: Hello everyone, thank you for clicking on this video to see another lovely part of Liberia. Today, I'll be giving you a tour of the first original town in Harper District. When the Grebo people came to Maryland County, this town was one of the first 3 towns built by them. I hope you enjoy this video. 🙌🏿🇱🇷🙌🏿

This man knows his history. Even the Gios also migrated from Sudan and Mali, then Ivory Coast before finally settling in Liberia.

Wow Africa is small and we are one indeed! I believed this story because Maryland wasn't part of Liberia,Maryland was country on their own maybe we forgot to mention, we the grebo people are different I mean in beautiful we have a very clean stomach when it comes to boring, black grebo woman will born whit skin baby without white father,we have the longer hair in the country. I am amazed to be a grebo from both father and mother and it's the same with my children may God bless our land and tribe so that our ancestors can be proud of us. Thanks to the old man,he was fair in the story by saying we used to take their wine lol but now we are one of the trusted person honestly. Thank you for this video love it makes me to understand a lot.

Beautiful scenery and history. My father is Krahn and Bassa. Krahn have subtribes such as Gorbor(sorry for the misspelling). Our ancestors came from Sudan stopped in Ivory Coast and then settled in Grand Gedeh.

Very good history. Gio is a colloquial name of Dan. If we actually a descendants from Sudan, I would believe it, coz the three letters in the word Su (dan) is the name the dialect we speak. We are Dan people, and we speak Dan. There is a history of how we in Liberia are called Gio, the Dan Speaking tribe in Ivory Coast are called Yakuba.

Most of these oral stories are nothing but fables especially the story he told about the goat that transformed into a man
The thing most of us don't understand is that the whole west Africa used to be called western Sudan. All the "kwa/kru" people of Liberia and ivory coast migrated from the songhai empire in present day mali then we migrated from there to present day ivory coast due to Islamic invasion. We settled in the western part of the ivory coast from San Pedro then we started to dispersed throughout the western part of ivory coast. Then we started to move accross the cavala River due to inter-tribal conflicts.

I can see our people have a little history on where we’re from but all in all we’re from Israel in 70AD migrated to Niger, from Niger, is where we separated from we were slaves by Sudan and our biggest gallery was in Mali we’re all the same people this why our language sound the same but slate different from the separation we had in different places but even Jesus prophesies this Matthew 24:16 & Mark 13:14 kjv this is the destruction of Jerusalem this when we fleet into west Africa.
