As a Zambian, particularly one that grew up in Livingstone, Mazoe holds dear memories for me. We crossed over to Vic Falls town in Zimbabwe countless times and Mazoe was always an item purchased. That and margarine will always remind me of Zimbabwe. Much love my brothers.

This is why it has always been said that using USD was always harmful to countries. The rising cost of production in Zim is amplified by the fact that it is in USD whereas in Zambia it is in local currency. So their cost of production and exportation is much lower than Zim. It's truly sad
I am from Zambia and I remember when Zimbabwe was known as the _bread basket of Southern Africa_ with many delicious, well processed, packaged and branded products like Mazoe but now it's just sad to see

As Zimbabweans we need to understand our situation.
1 We need our own currency which would be used to the exclusion of all other currencies for local transactions. As long as we insist on using foreign currencies, we will remain subject to the cost of foreign currencies. The Chinese are at the centre of our problems as they are using Zimbabwe as a source of their own forex.
2 We are not exporting anything, simply because we are too lazy to work hard. too lazy to vote for viable governments and too lazy to take steps to outlaw corruption.
3 We have had finance ministers who are lawyers instead of economists.
4 All the 75-90 million USD per month sent by our diasporans and coming into our pockets is not invested in any way. We just buy day to day supplies and live hand to mouth.
5 We are not fighting crime which is rampant throughout the nation, with police being the biggest criminals.
We are contributing to our own hardships.

In Zambia, most of us regarded mazoe as that special drink which found itself as one of the special Christmas drinks, but it disappeared go or some time, when it came back, the taste hasn't been the same

I think the All Blacks have been dominant for the last 20 years.
    But this is changing.
The great history between the two nations has swung left and right in terms of dominance.
It has favoured the All Blacks last two decades.
Nobody stays on top forever. Anywhere. In any discipline.
All Blacks! Start getting used to losing. Not only to the Boks!

We no longer buy Mazoe in Zambia. Maybe that's why it's cheaper when imported from Zambia. It leaves a bitter after taste and irritates the throat. Our popular and affordable Zambian juice is 'JUST' juice.

Also heavy taxation is too much in Zimbabwe.
