    That music transported me back in time! Very cool blues & jazz. I felt like a lucky Beatnik who's coffee house overlooked a freight yard. Where's my coffee, lol! Thanks for the post.

    How strange is the fireless cooker! Never heard of that before. Fascinating! I certainly LOVE this old train videos on CZcams! I learn so much. :) Thank you for this wonderful footage! The music is quirky and just oddball enough to be endearing.

    I love this. Inserting a title following your cuts to the different scenes stating the railroad and location would be very help for us neophytes.

    Claremont and concord ran mu 70 ton Ge locomotive's when they ran the entire line from Concord to Claremont Junction as did the The Saint Johnsbury and Lamoille County railroad. C& C still exists today though it's more like a terminal road it's trackage is so small. Not many railroads used the GE 70 ton locomotive and in a way it is the predecessor of the GE U-BOAT line of locomotive's as it used an inline 6 cylinder turbocharged Diesel engine built by Cooper Bessmer which was who GE purchased in order to build the GE 7-FDL engine which essentially is an enlarged CB engine GE used in their 70 ton line of industrial switchers.

      They catched my eyes too, a type of locomotive that you don't associate with road work.

    Can you tell us what year(s) this footage was originally filmed?

  • @litlanternproductions1293

    Great footage! Would I be able to use some of this in an intro for my channel? I'm trying to make a separate intro for videos regarding my 1950's era layout which is based on some of the historic scenes in your videos. I would make sure to give you credit when I first release it.

    • @nhrrman
      @nhrrman  Před 10 lety

      1st song is 'George' by Howard Randall & Friends...2nd song is 'Thinkin' by the Snakestretchers, had to crop the beginning of the first song a bit to make them fit. Craig
