Thanks, Milo! I entered in the Guitar Center "Battle of The Blues" this summer and if I make it to the finals, I'll be playing at the House of Blues in L.A. sometime in early September. I'm doing round three of five later this moth, so we'll see how things go; there are some damn good players out there.

I started noodling with slide when I was much younger. Eric Clapton's "Unplugged" album and Son House/Robert Johnson were my early influences, mostly rawer delta style stuff. Everyone has their own approach to it, but having a guitar dedicated to slide playing with higher action and heavier strings is essential, in my opinion. As for slides, you'll need to experiment and find what works for you sound-wise and for what fits your finger. You'll also want to play with your fingers w/o a pick.
