For all the people complaining about spoilers in the comments: why the hell are you looking through them if you haven't finished the game yet? Seriously.
Adxnot2567 ikr
Adxnot2567 yup
I'm here watching all the clips & gameplays, 'cause I know I won't be able to play the game. ✌️
@@aurora9586 same
They didn't know they was gonna tell what happens in the game
Josh watched Saw VI too many times
I thought it was saw VIII? The one where the killer faked his own death????
@@jeanmatthewcapisanan7581 More like saw Vl, because that part a guy from insurance company had to choose who to save all the time
I gotta say, Ashley probably had the best acting out of all the characters. She sounded genuinely terrified
I'd argue for Josh but all of them are such great actors. Matt when he finds out Emily died in the fire is GREAT.
But rami dude
Yeah, it was refreshing to see someone in a horror game be appropriately freaked out
Ashley and Emily has the best acting
well no um
People seriously think everyone saves Ashley instead of Josh, but that's the thing, you can only save Ashley. If you actually watched or played the rest of the game you'd know why. The other reason is that it's one of those mind tricks where you think choosing Josh will save Ashley (turn the lever to the right) but it ends up killing him. So for all those out there wanting to see Ash get dismembered, guess what? *The lever is rigged to kill Josh either way*
+Connor Clemmons It kind of sucks, though, when I found out about Josh later in the game, I was really intrigued about what could happen if you choosed to save Josh. That would have changed everything. That's like the one disappointment I have with this game: it "branching storyline" isn't nearly as branching as I thought it would be. Still a good story though.
BaneofGalaxy You are right, if saving Josh was an actual option, the entire storyline of the game would have changed at that point. However, it is true that the game has various ways to go, like you said, it's a "branching storyline". Though some options only seems like they would effect the story when they really don't. An example would be the man's death. you know the one. If you move, he dies, if you don't move he still dies. The game and story is still good, I will agree with you on that.
+Connor Clemmons true, that just makes the game more realistic, some of your actions change future, some don't, and in some situations you can't change what's going to happen,
the game is like riding a car in a city, you can go to different directions and streets, but you are still limited inside this streets, you can't drive out of them
Ehsign S Basically, of course some games don't really spread out the consequences of actions/decisions. Until Dawn does fairly alright with their decisions, but most of them relate to when a character dies. A good example of a game that doesn't show or really keep to their consequences is Life is Strange, where you can rewind time.
Throughout the game, you can make various choices and they can effect the game play/story, but they don't halt the progression of the game (which isn't something you really want in a game). However, at the end of the game, you are left with two choices and both choices are what I call a "clean slate" ending. Reason being is probably obvious, your choices didn't matter because they are both fixed endings. You can save a girl's life, but regardless of the ending, she might be dead in one ending, but she'll be alive in the other ending even if you failed to save her life as you play the game.
Thank you for explaining ☺
Every time I see Ashley fall down from the trap it looks like she's going to get caught by the saw. Does anyone else get bothered by the fact that Ashley could've died so easily by just accidentally falling a little bit to the left instead of the right?
+Daniel Medina yup me 2
Yea
Do you really think Josh would let that happen i am very sure josh has a Switch to turn off the saw if something goes wrong
AwesomeDanielStyles That saw never stopped... If he turned it off it would take at least 30 seconds to power off.
+Daniel Medina Yeah he really didnt think it through.
WHY DOES EVERYONE SAVE ASHLEY I WANNA SEE SOMEONE SAVE JOSH
+Brian Phan If you save josh , the saw get's to him anyway , he rigged it , he is the killer
Oh
Spoilerish well youve seen it already but you cant save josh no matter what you do thats why you wont find a vid if him saved if you tell him youll save him and choose to save him the killer will automatically choose to save ashley anyway its built into the machine.
Lol
Connor Kingston Yup
I don't want to see Rami Malek being cut in half😭
that or see his head get busted open by a wendigo
I don't care what Josh does, he's still my favorite character. yah I said it.
so true
so...you can't save Josh? The lever is rigged?
I don't want to write a spoiler, but later you'll meet the psycho and you'll know who really is and what was happened in that terrible execution. If you kill Ashley in this scene, the story should change a lot.
+Lilituh Rochefort The blade still goes to Josh, even if you choose to save Josh.
+FraNUGET thats stupid
+bobbyw223 You wouldn't be saying that if you knew who set that all up.
Andrew P josh does lol, i knew that when i typed that, thats not why i think its stupid, i think its stupid that they couldnt of been more clever with the story writing
+bobbyw223 How _isn't_ that clever? Any initial skepticism most have of Josh is instantly tossed out the window after this scene.
*Ashley screams for about five minutes*
Ashley: Josh wake up!!!
*Josh wakes up*
Really?? All this time Ashley was screaming for Chris, yet, even though it was dark, and she may not have seen Josh there, Josh wasn't awakened until she screamed his name? And yes, I have finished the game.
+Daniel Medina Why are you asking if you finished the game it should be obvious
Abby Parenteau Josh's acting logic is just bad xD
+Daniel Medina He may have been dazed. People will often respond easier to their own names and hearing it may have snapped him out of it?
Why can you only save Ashley? Because the storyline demands it!
do you know that josh is him? i mean, the prankster?
+JOEY GIRTEN SPOILER!!!
Wait so it's like a mix of saw and scream put together with the storyline.
+Ethan Dodd that sounds pretty accurate.
+Ethan Dodd The second half of Until Dawn reminds me of the second half of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune in a way.
+Yashiro Isana Josh rigged it so that it would choose him either way.
If you're trying to save josh, the game tricks you into thinking you did the wrong thing. They make you choose between pictures of Ashley and Josh, but they don't specify whether you are choosing the picture of who you will save or who you will kill.
Its literally says. Save josh or save ashley. Lmao
@@ancientkeyboardwarrior it says that, but then you have to pullthe lever to the picture of Ashley or Josh, so you don't know if it's to kill or to save
@@ancientkeyboardwarrior yeah that's the only choice that (kinda) makes a difference, who chris says he'll save. Josh will antagonize chris later if you say you'll save ashley
This is the new jigsaw
*Sooo I was roaming around and was trying to find more about rami malek and found this...*
no matter what it saves ashley
I would've picked to save Ashley and told Josh to put his core into high gear and save himself while I taunted the killer with his idiocy and lack of foresight and continuing a way to not let anything bad happen to anyone
Josh isn't the killer number one. Number two you are the idiot because Josh will not die no matter what you think. unless you somehow made him die which would be a very bad situation.
#1 you're the idiot because I never said either Ashley or Josh was the killer
#2 the Only character I called an idiot was the murderer.
#3 my comment was to shed light on how I would have handled the situation had it been me.
#4 you clearly can't read to save your life. Come at me with that stupidity again small thing..
"It was a prank Bro"
I love how Chris himself realizes that choice does not matter in video games
That's actually a really clever design for the choice! Using pictures of Ashley and Josh means the choice is up to interpretation so pointing to Ashley means choosing to save her and pointing to Josh means choosing to let him die.
I love listening to people on here complain about not being able to save Josh. FINISH THE GAME, YOU WILL REALIZE WHY JOSH DIES NO MATTER WHAT. -shakes head- It is something I called out early on...and I was right.
there is 150+ endings at least thats what the devs said they dont change much but there is a posebility to save him... Mby just mby he dosnt die in the end of one of them
Yes, I know there are lots of endings, but people getting mad because they can't save Josh in this part...he is not easy to save. I am trying now. I am on my second play-through. I am determined to save EVERYONE. lol
+BrittoBabe he didnt ivent died in this scene it was a fake body it was all a revenge for his sisters
Σταμάτης βαλής Yes... I know that. That is why I said "he dies no matter what." So I didn't spoil it for people...lol I know that he is just fucking with them. I've beat the game twice. XD
lol wow i didnt ivent beat this game i just watch tetra ninja Until Dawn xD
For y'all saying "Save Josh!" You can't, its rigged to save Ashley and kill Josh.
So yea.
wait this looks like the saw
This scene made my little brother break into tears because he wanted to save Josh
What did your brother say when he found out Josh is still alive?
@@dawidek4267 he was understandably pissed
@@ScorchtheHawk But Josh did nothing wrong
Who the hell answers a 6 year old comment i swear 🤦
@@christianalexander579 I'm more impressed by the fact that the OP replied 5 years later
if I see another comment saying "oh why didn't you save josh!?!" I'm going to politely say: finish the game.
i love how ashely is like omg he got salled in half is he okay
The way Ashley cries like a Japanese English translator make it hard for me to want to save her
He will carry on jigsaws legacy
Cam Fishy Hoffman wasnt worthy because of this kind of traps (barbed wire noose from saw vi)
When a game has its own saw scene.
Jigsaw, daddy, is that you?
Josh: *Screams in absolute agony*
Ashley: a r g h
I know this is an old video, but it annoys me that no-one's noticed.
Ashley: I'm really scared, hurry Chris!
Chris: *Slowly walks into furniture*
I wish I would've recorded my reaction. The saw movies don't phase me but the fact that I was the one who actually had to choose was crazy. I legit had to lay down afterwards.
I feel like the the characters are so calm
This is like a scene straight out of one of the Saw movies.
This is something out of the jigsaw movies
You know what really bugs me ? Both her and joshs legs were not tied only their hands from a chain to the ceiling if I was josh then i could have easily grabed the chain and done an upside down handstand putting me out of reach of the saw and then I could stand on the middle part of the saw and got out you may think its hard but it really isn't its like swinging on a rope.
***** thank you ^_^
Nice one for thinking this at all can't believe how many people didnt think about it.
***** Actually as I have played on I have discovered some things that contradict what I said but they're spoilers.
RIGHT!?!
Amado Alvarez Carrillo you don't get what I mean ?
No I was thinking the same exact thing! They both couldve just raised there legs and held them over there shoulders
If Josh is a fake body(In this case if you choose to save Josh, but the Psycho says that he chose to save Ash,) how does it make him look like a real person, like talk and move?
BTW, I know the Psycho is actually Josh.
At the start i was hoping the voice would say " MAKE YOUR CHOICE, LIVE OR DIE
Josh & Ashley: “SHIT SHIT SHIT HOLY SHIT!”
Chris: “Oh crap oh crap oh crap oh crap.”
*Nice to see Chris has enough sanity to not cuss.*
I know the storyline, but you could swing your legs above the saw.
Wow... and Josh was taking it the whole time!
It's just a prunk, bro!
This made me cry
When i first played this i found the serial killer part far more interesting and fun than the wendigos
Thats like the caurosel trap from saw, but without the caurosel
I like Josh but somehow this is my favorite scene in the whole game
Sucks that I recognized his voice immediately in this scene.
How did Josh move the corpse so much tho? For context for people who don't know, Josh set up a pretty fucked up prank, that's not joshes body, that's a corpse he found. I don't know what the hell Josh was thinking.
I mean I'm sure Josh did test runs multiple times but imagined if it malfunctioned and it turned to Ashley lmao.
Josh is "half" the man he was before :,)
Noo, Mr Robot!
All they had to do was go behind the panel or move Josh's body slightly, and this game would have been over very quickly.
i have already watched people do the whole playthrough which is why i said nobody chooses to kill adhley but thank you for telling me
This is some Saw shit
When the psycho watches all the saw movies
Remember that josh made this whole thing and made the saw so it would cut the fake body either way. Which just shows how much he thinks that his friends don’t care about him because they would still be okay. JOSHHHH WHYYY??!?!
Josh: bro pls we're bros,bro
Why does everyone save the chick?
It's rigged.
***** Chill
+TheSuperHunter1582 lol
In this scene you do not kill anyone, the saw just go to josh and this is a prank, it cuts a doll, josh is behind the wall putting only his head on the doll head
Yes he is, btw it is just a prank
yeah i get that this whole trap is rigged by a certain someone, but they should have let you kill the other person, and changed the entire remainder of the game. i really liked this game and the initial playthrough, but in hindsight, i much preferred heavy rain's "get killed anytime and the story keeps going" motif, versus certain characters being unable to die until the very final chapter
Also he could have saved them both by jerking the lever both ways as the little rail car went accross the switch. It'd have gotten hung up.
Live or die, make your choice
wow. it's a good thing the didn't take the 'body' with them for burial.
That's why you should do yoga guys. I would have done a flip and went over the wooden board. Lol
Chris looks like Logic
RIP Josh. You will be missed, I think.
This is like Saw.
Ashley's voice acting was top notch. Chris sounds so weirdly calm for some reason
dude it sounds WAY better in the scene after this where Chris is telling Emily and Matt what happened… it’s probably the best voice acting from Chris the whole game tbh
Oh wow this is so awesome!
This is where batman comes in
Didn't even tie their feet down. Just raise em.
this is like saw...
I just thought about something....was there any indication that the door was locked? Cause it just opens on its own but was it locked? If it wasn't chris could of just walked in and unhooked them both before the saw started...but hey we never get thr smarter options
When you actually know Rami's voice you can definitely hear that he's the distorted voice lol
especially when he screamed if Ashley stabs him it’s so obviously lmao
Jigsaw looks great so far
They say your choices matter in this game. They actually don't.
THIS choice doesn't matter because Josh dying *cough cough* is important to the story. The lever system was designed to be confusing. Are you supposed to flip the lever to Josh to save him or to kill him?
Most serious players wouldn't go back for a do over and just let the choice be no matter who they intended to save.
At least the characters you save can live or die depending on your choices in this game. In Telltales Walking Dead game every time you are given the choice to save one character over another the one you save ends up dying later anyway without the ability to stop it.
Your choices still don't matter. I'm not saying the game is bad, you don't need to defend it. But your choices matter vry little. The characters can only die in very specific scenes, and if they survive or not it doesn't matter, it will opnly add some dialogue. There isn't, for example, a situation where "if this character survives, this one does too, but if they're dead, then the other one dies too.". I could give more clear examples, but that would be a spoiler. Your choices DON'T matter in this game.
+88Hyo nop they matter like a lot , when you keep on aiming at ash in the christ and ash scene later she will not save chris , if you keep aiming at chris then ash will save him
88Hyo yes it does. If u choose to run instead of hide when Matt and Jessica are running from the Wendigo, Jessica would die because she is to injured to run. Also, because Sam and the other guy (Jessica's boyfriend) found the two clues telling Hannah was a wendigo Josh was able to recognize her and yell ''Hannah!'' causing Hannah to recognize him he lives... But turns to a wendigo in the end.
Can't you lift ur legs since ur tied against the wall so a horizontal legs in the air and wait till it saws down the wood?
Did they not even try to lift themselves up? Unless their legs are tied. I can't tell.
Even if you switch it in order to save josh the saw thing still goes to josh.
This is like saw....
Damn, Saw 8 is looking great
so what happens if you do nothing at this part? I'm really curious
Am very late but Chris just looks confused
I was watching my sister play this game.
Me: OH MY FUCKING GOD DON'T LET FREDDIE MERCURY DIE
Since I've knew that it's just a mannequin i'm not care about "Josh' blood" :D
ts suprising jigsaw didnt think of this
+Th3 G4mer TH3 SH00T3R Its
why can Josh just raise his legs and not get sawed in half
Saw 9 CONFIRMED
edit: what the fuck, the real Saw 9 was a thing since 2021, and there's an upcoming Saw 10. I guess I can say "Saw 11 CONFIRMED"
I guess this game took notes from the Saw franchise.
Is the psycho voice pre recorded because josh was right there?
You can't save Josh. No matter what you do you save Ashley. Notice that it gives you a choice to save "Ashley I'll save you" if you want to save her and "I'll save you" if you choose to save Joshua. And no matter which way you turn the lever Josh dies. If you know any of the endings you know why this happens. Don't spoil it for others that don't know.
Couldn't they just put their legs up?
so you can't save josh? is he really dead or does he come back later?
2:23 you can see josh smiling. they're still bros
Couldn’t Josh have just lifted his legs up? His ankles weren’t chained at all!
Insane game
I don't think people understand what he means when Chris says it's a mistake- Everyone seems to assume that he meant to turn it at Ashley, but (somehow) messed it up and turned it to kill Josh. I'm pretty sure that what he meant, was that he picked Josh, thinking it would save him. He thought that picking Josh would kill Ashley. I know it's an important plot-line that she didn't die, but it's better writing and makes a lot more sense if you look at it this way.
guys josh didnt diemi swear hes making a prank
that part made no sense their legs were free they could swing their lower body up hi enough to get on top of the saw lol
+colden ashura Well i would want to sit on that :D
it cut his belly button area and im pretty sure ypur legs cant just swing that high. the saw would slice your butt and thighs off
+colden ashura That's what I said when I was watching Dashie Play this game lol
There were a few ways both can survive
You can clearly see that josh behind that fake body
Yeah you better save her
what happens if you don't choose
