This was excellent! I gain so much from watching your videos. Did my first pop up shop in a coffee roaster shop…yesterday. Was a bit nervous that I would have enough. Worked day and night to be sure, while at the same time having low expectations of sales and high expectations of exposure. I did make my first sale to a young female business owner I met several weeks ago. But the key point I want to make about the sale…is that I knew about my work…saw her eye a piece with a Paua shell…from New Zealand. Told her about the necklace. She exclaimed that they had gotten married in NZ and her mother who never travels attended. It was Mother’s Day yesterday. She bought the necklace for her mom. She never asked me the price. She just paid for it. It was one of 3 or 4 that were my highest price pieces. The other part I got from my show is the people who looked at mine…got it. Used the right words to describe my pieces. The net results far exceeded my expectations while getting the “first” part out of the way.
Thank you Megan for presenting all of this wisdom and experience. We hear you.

Ahh I can't believe I only JUST discovered your videos! I've been running a jewelry side hustle for a few years and only recently made efforts to grow it.
This video was so helpful and I love your display, especially the "clay rooms" element! :) Did you make that yourself?

Hello Megan, Thank you for your advices. Are you sure the retargeting link from the outro is the good one ? About the video with the market checklist and question checklist. I tried it and it was a short with no links about those checklists. Thank you 😊

Also I do love you and all your advice but I take offense to you saying you don’t even wear make up because you want to keep it real, and you don’t want to hide anything??? that is not a good theory for some people. maybe that works for you. not everybody is blessed with youth, thick black eyebrows, thick black eyelashes, thick black hair beautiful pink lips. And I believe it’s nice to have a professional look, and for some that includes make up. And hair together. I don’t like the theory of people saying, “oh take me as I am without makeup…I don’t like to hide things”. Ugh. That drives me nuts. There’s nothing wrong with the gift of you or the gift of me on the inside, yet also having some beautiful wrapping paper on the outside and perhaps a bow on occasion. Hence lipgloss, blush some concealer for dark bags, etc. Neatly done hair. Or perhaps a gorgeous well done full face of makeup. It doesn’t mean we’re hiding anything. Hiding bags or pimples or pigmentation issues, scars, age, or enhancing eyes etc isn’t hiding who you are. And doesn’t make people any less real of a person. We’re not hiding anything. We are enhancing with make up… and on camera, for some …sometimes that’s a better thing to do if done well. If I did your make up you would look stunningly beautiful and no less real… there’s nothing wrong with that. Also I see your video about getting your face out there to sell your jewelry. There’s nothing wrong with a professional look on your face and hair, which means neat clean, neat non-greasy hair with a nice face full of whatever your look is. no make up If a natural beauty may be fine but camera and lights wash faces out. you don’t wanna look like a rolled out of bed to sell your jewelry. Again, beautiful make up can be, (if done appropriately) can be the wrapping paper on the outside for the beautiful gift of who we are on the inside . But I am listening to a lot of your advice. And I love it. ❤

You are totally right!! In fact that video where I mentioned that I regretted saying that. I reflected on this actually and I think the reason I said that was because I was brought up to think that makeup was frowned upon by my parents. To this day, I wish I felt more comfortable wearing makeup and doing my hair and wearing lipstick. But it's like I feel judged by my internal parental voice. Which is so silly I know! I now occasionally feel brave and wear some red lipstick and love how it makes me feel. Anyway, all this to say, I totally agree with you! We all come with our baggage and unconscious biases. Please forgive my stumble there. You be you and do whatever makes you feel even more you! ☺️🫶
