Henry left Arsenal because he had the opportunity to play for the strongest team worldwide !! He was almost at the end of his prime so he knew that it was the good moment for him to join the team which would allow him to win the Champion's League !!

Bentdner scored a 1 yard Screamer the other day to take Forest into mid table of the Championship! Think that question answers itself...... as for why he left Arsenal it was obvious. He wanted to win the Champions League and Barca offered that opportunity even though he was a couple of months shy of 30 years old when they bought him.

Can't ever see Henry be arsenal manager. I don't believe he has the qualities that people like Guardiola, Klopp and (as its increasingly looking) Arteta are have in managing personalities. Henry is a very intelligent man, but managing a club like Arsenal and bringing them to the top requires not just tactical knowledge of the game but also a loving yet ruthless way of creating the energy of the Club. His time at managing squads has shown that.

As much as I like Henry I find he was really uncomfortable in this video. His answers were pretty much not convincing at all.
He could have just said "I left at Barcelona because Arsenal is a great club but couldn't compete in the top at the time because of all the money spent on many years for the new stadium, there wasn't enough budget and I wanted to experience big titles before my retirment". Something like that.
About his transfer in MLS he could have said he was too old to compete in a team like Arsenal while having a lot of play time, no problem at New York for that.
he did say "i wanted to be at a competitive club. the way the club was going, i didnt see it"
i.e - basically what you said. im sure rvp, nasri, clichy cesc wouldv all said similar things too......that the club's direction wasn't aimed exclusively towards winning titles.
but i do distinctly remember at the time, that henry not knowing whether wenger would carry on was a factor in his decision making. of course wanting to win the c league was the biggest factor perhaps, as we all know

I love henry by far my favorite arsenal player ever but I always think that why did he leave us if he loved us so much yes to win the big one champions league cos arsenal couldn't give him that but I always think of totti of roma when I hear player loyaltys an love for a club he never left Roma for any honours or any amount of money he loved Roma that much so I don't no what to believe
You can stil love the club but leave because at the end of the day he has to what's best for his career. And the thing is, Totti wasnt at Henry's level. He was a great servant to Roma but he wasnt as good as Henry that he wouldve gone straight into a Barca or Madrid team
