- This video will show you how to prepare the 4 ways clamp system, these clamps have the option to increase their capacity or decrease it as you need and will apply pressure on the sides, top, and bottom of the clamped boards.

#4waysclamp - Jak na to + styl
Very cool clamps! I've been interested in that style of clamp for a while - they look very effective.
True, they are very effective and they apply a decent amount of clamping pressure. But they want a decent space in the shop to store them 🙂
Parallel clamps are better/easier but this was a really cool build. Your machining of wood is great.
Thank you 👍
I couldn't tell but on the cauls do you put a crown on the clamping side of the cauls with the top of the crown being in the center of the caul. It helps keep things in line as you put tension on the clamps. This especially helps if the cauls bow any on the edges of the piece being clamped. I saw you using you plane but it was hard to tell.
That sounds a good idea, actually I didn’t use any crowns as I am not putting tremendous pressure to cause that oak cauls to bend and damage the workpiece edges. But that was a very helpful tip to consider! Thank you for pointing this out 🤝👌
I just happened to get these clamps and will be making the body strips today. I was wondering if you think I should intentionally put a bow in them so the pressure is more in the middle and they don't bow the wrong way like at the end of your video?
Actually they tend to bow, but that becomes an issue if you apply excessive pressure, you need only to tighten them enough to align the glued boards and have even glue squeeze on the edges, and once that is achieved you can add more clamps in the middle between them if you are gluing long boards! I hope that will help, also would love to hear back from you once you finished making and using them. 🤞
@@TheWoodCrafter1 that definitely helps! I'll take all that into consideration when building them.
🤝
Very good clam And a lot of money to spend
Actually not a lot if you compare it to high quality F clamps, you will need only 2 of these to help you align the boards and add more F clamps after. 👍
Who knew someone makes these? Can you tack a link in here? Based on the comments, these are kind-of space eaters, yes, but anyone would only need two or three sets for panels or tabletops. I think you could supplement with pipe or beam clamps if more pressure is needed.
Please search Amazon for “4 ways panel clamps “ as you said you need only 2 in most situations, unless you have to glue a lot of projects at the same time! Good luck 🤝
Sorry, my english is not so good.
Unfortunately, it makes an arc in the middle.
The wood is a bit weak for larger panel.
Better use iron pipes.
Nah.
.
What a wast of money
