  • What's new for 2024, not just for Java Waxed Flesh, but the Truman business model as it affects us the consumer? There's a move toward off the shelf availability but look out for the occasional MTO offering like this one.

Do Truman’s have a real toe cap?

Fantastic question. I'm going to say it does have a true toe cap rather than a skived down single skin. I'm thinking this because of something I may have read a while ago but also because of the price and the Truman approach to quality. It does have a structured toe which will keep its shape. If anybody knows the answer, please share.

I don’t believe it is a true toe cap. I think it was bedo leather works video doing a repair to a Truman boot and if I remember correctly it was two skived pieces. That’s pretty normal for this style of boot. I’m pretty sure viberg and grant stone are the same.

Mark Richards half a size down from Clarkson and Ecco is a good start but to be certain, take a photo of your foot on a ruler and send to Truman for advice.

These are office worker boots. Yuppies buy these in hopes of feeling like real men. That's why they are mass producing them now.

Oh! A little harsh. I got them because I had some old school boots in a similar leather in 1980s. I loved how the rough out developed.
