"never stop...never stop fighting until the fight is done; here endeth the lesson."
Wat you say, wat you say?
Your nothing but a lot of talk and a badge...
YOUR NOTHING BUT A LOT OF TALK AND A BADGE!!
@@jackrussell3084 "You're finished , Capone!"
And so is the D-S
You're nothing but a lot of talk and a badge.
A true legend, a true legend, the genius of music
-Where’s Nitty?
He’s in the car.
That’s my favorite quote from this movie
"He died like a Pig.....AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
DID HE SOUND ANYTHING LIKE THAT?"
Costner's delivery of that line is so pitch perfect.
A giant has departed. Peaceful trip to Heaven Maestro.

"Here endeth the lesson" : Sir Sean Connery is a BOSS!.
Rip Sean Connery !
RIP Ennio Morricone! This was my very first exposure to your music. At the tender age of 11, in 1988 on Cable TV. Still one of my favorite movies and soundtracks!
Greatest movie composer that ever lived. BAR NONE. Why ? Simply because every composition shines with an originality all its own. Nobody created music with such imagination in every aspect. From the unique spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leone, to this even greater master work. While other composers like Elmer Bernstein looked for orchestral trumpeting sounds, Morricone went in a different direction. His The Good The Bad and The Ugly theme by all accounts imitated the sounds of howling coyotes! That's how original his music was. Bernsteins theme from the Magnificent Seven is the second most recognized work. It in no way compares to Morricone. Anymore than any other musical score compares to his Untouchables master work. Every song makes you feel the mood of the film and its characters. While John Williams produced even more material, too much of it was leftover stew. Old rehashes of earlier tunes. NOTHING DONE BY MORRICONE SOUNDS REMOTELY LIKE ANY OF HIS PREVIOUS WORK. That was his greatest gift. A style singularly all his own. Every time.
@@donaldschmidt2990 I largely agree, but he has re-used cues from time to time. In fact the Untouchables March can be heard in one of his late 60's Comedy OST's (I'll have to go poke around my playlists to find the exact cue though. It's an early variation on it, but it is unmistakeable.) But yeah, besides that little nitpick, I couldn't agree with you more.
What about John Barry!!!!!! FFS!
@@AmanKhan-wf7kc What about him? He is like Morricone's twin imho. They both came up from similar humble backgrounds musically, they both revolutionized film music in the early 60's. And they both introduced Rock instrumentation to film scores. But this isn't a video of John Barry's, so we aren't talking about him atm.
@@thebarbaryghostsf I only mention Barry cos Donald Schmidt mentioned John Williams and Elmer Bernstein!
The death theme never ceases to be able to tear me up. Wallace’s death and Malone’s are powerful for different reasons. This is a great film and a great score. DePalma. Morricone. This cast. Excellence all around.
One of the all-time great scores. Ennio proving himself a legend in multiple genres.
Spot on
How about the writers?
@@jesseowenvillamor6348 Thank you! David Mamet did a masterful job. As he always does.
Yes, this movie was incredible, one of the best I have ever seen.
ennio is the man! His range of writing in differnt genre makes him incomparable! The Motzart of film music!!!
02:45 my favourite.. Brilliant. RIP to a master
Best composer ever
OK I'm going to admit. When I was a kid I played all the Ennio tunes in my head to give me strengh. From the Dollars trilogy to Once upon a time in America to the great Untouchables. Even If I looked a bit clumsy ( in those days I was due to a few health issues) I was Manco, Noodles or Capone in my mind.
Not that I purposefully made them play in my head. They are so hypnotic they just did.
0.00 and 2.45 yeh madafackers!!!!!!!
AL Capone passage is masterpiece.
A fantastic movie all round. One of Costner’s best, and Connery, and DeNiro.....Brian De Palma knocked it out of the park, Mamet wrote an excellent script and r.i.p. Mr Morricone, one of the greats.
Don't forget Andy Garcia. :)
don´t forget Andy Garcia
Don’t forget Charles Martin Smith.
Some stuff was goofy, and I think Costner was goofy. Deniro of course was great though he was in few scenes, Connery was awesome as well as Andy Garcia. The one hit man that fell off the building, cool character and wardrobe, the clothing was really great, almost comic book like with how the villains looked. I still think we could of had a much better movie considering the subject matter...AL Capone of all people.
Ennio Morricone is the best!!!
To Sir Sean Connery...a class act, a great Scotsman and a helluva damn good actor...rest in peace always 🌻🌹🏴🇺🇸
Big Tam a proper man and a gentleman through and throughout 👏 🏴
Ciao Ennio
Rest in piece Ennio Morricone one of the greatest to ever do it for movie soundtracks
Thanks Fred,
Another great movie-helped in no small part by the superb music of Ennio!
Ennio Morricone, for me, was a musical genius; to be able to create and develop music to connect visual sequences of films
with the emotions the viewers feel while watching ANY scenes of ANY movie is nothing short of being a master of interpretation.
Whether the action was sweet, warm and loving or brutal, searing and heart wrenching or anywhere in-between, Maestro Morricone
was able, in some unbelievable way, to write the exact score needed.....what an incredible achievement by an incredible musician!
Fantastica emozione pura♥️
My all time favourite composer and yes a genius he was indeed , would liked to have worked with and met him in person
Ennio Morricone. The greatest movie soundtracks to be found anywhere on Planet Earth.
Just read that Ennio Morricone died today...RIP. Such a great score.
-They say they're going
to repeal prohibition.. what will you do then?
- l think l'll have a drink.
Yeah that was a good line delivered by Kevin Costner. This wasn't a very historically accurate movie, but it was very entertaining.
@@scottdavidson526 Perhaps a historically accurate line since Elliot Ness became an alcoholic
Best movie ever... best actors ever... best music ever...
@I am who I am You haven't seen enough great pictures.
@@nstix2009xitsn This is one of the best ever
such a deeply profound and moving soundtrack to accompany an utterly brilliant film. I think Eisenstein would have loved this film had he not died so young.

ENNIO = GENIUS
He was one of the greats!
Sean Connery in one best roles he got a Oscar. He was so good in this movie
Are you Scottish, Irish or Scotch-Irish?
Sick Boy : All I'm trying to do is help you understand that The Name of The Rose is merely a blip on an otherwise uninterrupted downward trajectory.
Mark "Rent-boy" Renton : What about The Untouchables?
Sick Boy : I don't rate that at all.
Mark "Rent-boy" Renton : Despite the Academy Award?
Sick Boy : That means fuck all. Its a sympathy vote.
Mines too I always like him 👍
I love Ennio. This is masterful music.
The main theme is so triumphant I think it may be my favourite piece of music in film history.
I think Ennio also did the Bugsy movie soundtrack . Peep that movie if you havent. Hoffa with Jack Nicholson is also a classic. These were some movies made for men when men were men
Never known a composer who got under your skin so much as Ennio Morricone. "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" stayed with me long after I had forgotten the film itself, and his
UNtouchable in strenght , beauty and so lovely in music and soul , for ever Sir Mr Ennio Morricone , thanks for all and everything , in our hearts , xxx behave my beloved father & my .

l’eternita’!
RIP Ennio :(
I love the Instrumental on the Untouchables Soundtrack! Excellent movie!👍🏿
Maaaaan what a piece of Music this OG has left behind.....this one of my fave Gangsta Movies full stop
THIS should have WON the Oscar! How this GREAT music score LOST to “The Last Emperor”-even though that score was co-written by David Byrne of the classic 80’s band The Talking Heads-is STILL a mystery to me after 30-plus years! 👏 BRAVO,Commendatore Ennio Morricone! You ARE a music GENIUS!!!
@James Monroe Coat tails. I believe The Last Emperor swept its nominations, and should have been up for several performers, but got no noms for them: James Lone, Joanie Chen, the Japanese traitor girl, the concentration camp commandant, Peter O'Toole. But as much as I love it--Top 20 of all silents and talkies--The Untouchables had a better score.
@@nstix2009xitsn Right on point!!! “The Last Emperor” is a very well-made film-but “The Untouchables” is also a superbly crafted film in its own right!!! You are right about “The Last Emperor” not getting any acting nods-it should have gotten several of those as well!!!
This truly is one of the Masters great Scores. I have the record Album and the Cd of this Magnificent score and Film. They don't make Movies and compose Film Scores like this anymore. Thanks Fred again for a Excellent choice in Film Music to upload. Out.

Well The Master, Mr. Morricone shows his stuff again. Thank you Fred.
Para mi: Del Maestro Ennio Morricone su Mejor Score fue The Good, the Bad and the Ugly: sus mejores cuatro Soundtracks: The Trio. The Ecstasy Of Gold. The Story Of A Soldier. Intro. V17072020.
Morricone draws inspiration from his own work in THE BATTLE OF ALGIERS (66)
What are you prepared TO DO ! ..
One of favorite movies ever !
I listen to all these greats because imagine the films without this soundtrack behind them, nothing like the same. And Ennio the master produced arguably one of the very best. How it could not win the Oscar, I dont know, far superior to Last Emperor
One of the most underrated film soundtracks ever.
R.I.P, Maestro.
@Abdelhamid El-Refaiy Fake compliment alert! This score, like Morricone's other scores, was never underrated.
@@nstix2009xitsn
The highest viewed soundtrack clip for The Untouchables here on YT has 610k views. Check all the other soundtracks for Morricone and they are all in multiples of millions (Once Upon a Time in Anerica, The Mission, Paradiso, ...). My point: This beautiful soundtrack deserves much more than it gets.
Do you have a phobia from complements in comments to other ppl' work that you cannot differentiate between real and fake ones? Who made u Complement Officer?!! Get a life, weirdo.
Amazing for ever.
for me, the last song is off the charts incredible
