- This week I get to eat my favorite Cambodian food from the legendary joint called Phnom Penh in Vancouver. I try their bouncy egg noodles, famous chicken wings and raw butter beef! This place is a must if you're in the area. Like this video for more Jimmy’s taste test.
Be sure to comment on what food I should review next!
Come back for more food reviews, cooking videos, and I guess sometimes I'll get back to my job as a standup comedian.

I would like to see a program where Jimmy O Yang and Ronnie Chieng travel around Asia eating delicious food.
faith chien this !
Heck yess
yes, this!!!
Nah just Jimmy O Yang no Ronnie Chieng
There's a channel that does that called "best food review show" and some others. Obviously he isn't in there lol but it's entertaining
As a cambodian, never would expect jimmy to try phnom penh food but hey i aint complaining
He had to throw the /vietnamese in there though lol.
@@JG-id5vi i wish our food wouldn't be compared to thai food or vietnamese food all the dang time lol
@@JG-id5vi Actually I've been there and it's more Vietnamese food than anything. Not one person in there speak Khmai. No loc lac or mee katang, but the food is pretty good.
I really enjoy these reviews. Jimmy has such a passion for food. It's like sitting with a buddy who is a foodie listening to him chat while he chows down on some terrific food.
...as the rest of us starve 🥺
I lost it when Jimmy went after Nobu.
About time someone did 🤣
Korean Jesus, you like like Steve Aoki.
What exactly do they sell there?
@Archeet Chugh oh ,right on .

Phnom Penh is amazing. I've been going there for years and I never get tired of the butter beef and those amazing wings.
Thanks James.
@@jamessorn5084 u too James
Jian-Yang: *eating*
Everyone: *satisfied*
Erlich: *unsatisfied*
You ate lemons, epic
@@jizn_ haha, yeah, thank you 😊
*pulls out a cig* Special occasion!
@@TastyASMR No, you ate the lemons.
Now Jian Yang will become fat and stupid *read in Erlich's voice*
“I believe in allergies. It’s a real thing, but you can power through it if the food is good enough.”
- Jimmy Yang
Lactose intolerant people and ice cream: 👀
If it's serious nut allergy, it's power through your life
Bro try not being able to digest meat properly. Does it stop me? Nah 🥴
With lactose intolerance the food powers through you, in all directions sometimes!
@@epiccollision LOOOOOL
Oh man, me with my lactose intolerance and shellfish allergy + epipen 😬 worth it.
Jimmy's got opinions about shrimp and I AM HERE FOR IT.
I am out in White Rock, so might be a regional thing, like you say. I agree.... prawns you eat with 2 hands, and shrimp are shrimpy small.
He aint wrong
This is awesome, Jimmy. Love the energy and the random rants.
I already wanted to move to vancouver and Jimmy posting all this delicious diversity of asian food available there is solidifying my desire. It all looks amazing. i need that beef in my life.
Vancouver is one of the most expensive cities to live in North America. Are you sure you want to live there?
It all looks amazing - seriously? It all tastes amazing, may be. But, it all looks crazy. Under the hands of Jimmy. Lol
@@hsun7997 would be better to move into an apartment/rent a place in a neighboring town than a vancouver apartment.. And then just drive to vancouver restaurants. probably cheaper too.
Vancouver is a trash city
The walk from our house to Phnom Penh in Chinatown is less than 15 minutes. When friends come in from out of town, we'll head there; my usual starters to share are their dry-fried chicken wings and the spicy papaya salad. Thanks for highlighting this place, Jimmy!
I like how you're so excited yet still composed when eating and revieing it. Love your works m8
Glad you're supporting a local place: Phnom Penh is still only doing takeout since the seating isn't large enough to do dine-in. Also, the chicken comes with a lime-pepper dipping sauce; the chili condiment was for the noodles!!
That looks so delicious Jimmy! Keep the mukbangs coming! 😍
ty for having lunch with me today Jimmy! These have been some of my favourite videos recently(partially because I'm super happy you're in my country and enjoying it here)
These videos are exactly what 2020 needed.
Kinda pissed that I can't get that type of good Asian food where I live but I'm here for it
This restaurant is more focused on food you're find in Phnom Penh (City) Cambodia than say Vietnam. Despite having Cambodian/Vietnamese, most of the food is something out of Cambodia which is something I am proud of since my parent are from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The owners and chefs are all family members and all come from Cambodia. Also the dried noodles you are eating, is part of Cambodia's culture since there are a lot of Chinese people who've migrated to Cambodia over the past hundreds of years and that dish came from the Chinese speaking Teochew Chinese people. Hu Tieu Kho is a Teochew Chinese word. Teochew chinese people are also strongly present in other SE countries like Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Mans just explained my while existence while taking about food
my fav place in Vancouver, was just there last night. my favorite is the luc lac with fried rice. it's god tier
I wish I had a friend like Jimmy here, with whom I could experience the good dishes from backhome.
living in Germany in a small town and from Canada...u don't understand how much i miss all the food you have been eating. Thanks for this! When i get back to Vancouver I need to hit all the restaurants again! love the randomness! you are the best!
gosh damn this is so satisfying to watch him eat and especially in Vancouver!
I got so happy when I saw this. Who knew Jimmy would like my homeland’s cuisine?
Sounds like the Cambldian noodle is Katieu Gok = Dry noodles with soup on the side. My favorite way to eat noodle soup!
Ok Jimmy, I have so enjoyed watching you eat your way through Canada... i hope you'll be going back to cooking soon. Those are my favs to watch. Enjoy!!...and power through those allergies.
4:10 I like his method of using chopsticks when he mixed the egg noodle. It is pretty nostalgic idea for Korean people and reminds me some old memories. Back in the days of our parents generation, we had some kinda family ceremony when we graduate schools. That is what Going Chinese restaurant after the commencement event. Chinese black bean noodle (we call Jjajangmyoen) was one of most popular and favourite food among the junior age of Korean people. And we use chopsticks AS LIKE THAT WAY when we mix the noodle and the sauces. That was common doing and events every Korean family. 😆😀🫶
God I love your videos so much Jimmy. Thanks for these.
MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT! GREAT VIDEO AND RECOMMENDATION JIMMY!
I feel like I learn so much from jimmy’s mukbangs
- shrimp vs. prawns
- enjoy life, allergies are irrelevant as long as you don’t die
these mukbang videos make me feel like I'm having a date with Jimmy O. Yang and I live for these.
Bruh, as a former chef in Los Angeles you made me /cackle/ with laughter calling Nobu bullshit. "I'm not paying 35 bucks for some bullshit-ass ROCK shrimp". Fucking THANK you my dude lol
Please keep uploading mukbang videos! I enjoy your review ✨🌈
Why do I keep watching these vedios!?!? It's just making me hungry
You should make a video on how you make instant ramen. Everyone has their own way of sprucing it up. We wanna see!
Oh man I love that food! I’ve been craving Phnom Penh noodle soup and I usually eat it with thin yellow egg noodles. It’s like super comfort food for us. I don’t know what they do but they must put crack in it. The Chiu Chows 潮州人 have a strong presence in Cambodia.
I love watching your videos, Jimmy. You are so natural, I actually want to eat what you eat and make wat you make.
The most talkative mukbang series I have ever watched 😂😂
This is so cool! Jimmy Yang doing mukbangs now.
Congrats on the new romcom show Jimmy! Saw an article and realizing you've been shooting in Vancouver all this time (while mukbang'in) lol
To be completely honest I didn’t even hear about you until the mukbang videos lol... BUT PLEASE KEEP EM COMING HAHA. THE COMEDIC PERSONALITY IS SUCH A GREAT CONTRAST TO THE NORMAL MUKBANGERS
Jimmy is really making me wanna visit Vancouver rn with all this good food 😫
I think Jimmy would do well travelling the world and do food reviews. Have the personality, honesty and a sense of humour which is perfect for it.
Ayeee Cambodian food... severely underrated bruv
James, love you from Cambodia. Thanks Jimmy
I dont know its just me or listening Jimmy's talk is sooooo satisfied!
Omg I used to work around the corner from this place and god it’s so good. I live in Germany now and watching this is just brutal. I so miss it!
I used to live in Vancouver and Phnom Penh is definitely one of my fav restaurant, especially the butter beef!!
are you kneeling on the floor hahah love that for the video
You do the best mukbangs
Yo welcome to Vancouver! Never heard of Phnom Penh but I'm gonna try it out for sure now!
love you jimmy keep on keepin on
100% agree on not enjoying fancy Asian food. I've had a variety of hatted Asian restaurants and they don't compete with cheap, family run establishments. Give me that fresh chilli in fish sauce or lemon on the side. Mmm.
Lmao Cambodian people after seeing any words relating to Cambodia:
Cambodia🇰🇭🇰🇭❤
Hi!Im from Cambodia❤🇰🇭
Food in Phnom Penh are great!Be sure to visit!
lol guilty
I’m also guilty xD
Hi! I’m Cambodian-American and I can’t help but say 🇰🇭🇰🇭🇰🇭❤️
Lmao
love it. looks awesome.
nice video keep it up my friend :)) i love this food series
I miss this restaurant!! One of my favorites back home!
Fellow VANCOUVERITE!! LOVE this place!!!❤️❤️❤️
It is killing me that I can't order from this restaurant immediately. I totally agree with your approach to food! We need more mukbangs!
Jimmy ah... Jimmy... You hafto order the filet beef luc Lac fried egg! (#35 on the menu)
Awesome video! Huge fan of yours from Vancouver. Keep representin bro!
Omg!! I read the title and my eyes just 😳😳
Hometown Vancouver ❤
Love from Cambodia 🇰🇭❤️
yo, jimmy. There ganna be more space force? talking about a season two?
Please keep making these🥺
it's a pleasure watching you eat
Big love from Cambodia
ugh. the wings. bucket list vancouver item!
OMG yessss phnom penh is muah 👌 luk lak is another classic
Hey Jimmy do more of this in Van! thanks
Bro, I've had that Butter beef tartare before. Home made from the family that owns that restaurant. Its so good! I've tried reproducing it with some success awhile ago. Need to try it again..
Bro if you like the Cambodian food here, you gotta go to Long Beach and try it there. I'm from LB and when I tried this restaurant in Vancouver, it wasn't even close to what we have back home. Trust!! I vlogged at this restaurant in my channel too.
Which restaurants?
金边小馆, 哈哈。 those chicken wings are to die for.
Yayy for Cambodian food! 😃
I can watch this man eat all day, everyday
this is one of my favourite restaurants. peaceful restaurant, phnom penh, miko sushi, bale bakery and new town bakery in china town are all a amazing and worth checking out.
This is THE BEST food! Love this place!!!
Watching you eat makes me hungry! I think you would be a great food tour host 😀
Watching this Jimmy O Yang Mukbang is making me want to drive down to chinatown and grab some Phnom Penh
Hope to work with you on Season 2 🚀 brotha! Thanks for repping 🇰🇭🇻🇳
One of my faves, the wings are legendary!
Real Asian ppl don’t deal with apps cos they don’t like paying the 30% to Uber eats or doordash...
Amen brother, amen
You’re goddamn right
The only exceptions are probably WeChat and WhatsApp 😂
I see no lies here
Damn f'ing straight brother!
This is exactly what I had at the same restaurant! I swear that butter beef is one of the best things I’ve ever had in my life
Bruuuh you know what it issss I LOVE Phnom Penh!!
Thank you for sharing!
Just had the marinated butter beef and the chicken wings yesterday. They are as good as Jimmy's verdict. The rare beef is not gamy at all. Delicious!
Just had this today. Out of this world .
Dude give me some looks good!
Try out Laksa King! Amazing Laksa, Roti, Nasi Lamak!
Why is this video so satisfying ?
wow? I feel your happy...; I love chicken's arms and the soup, and the beaf.
It used to be what you just said about the prawns about 40 years ago. The prawn cocktail at a restaurant was more expensive than a shrimp cocktail😆
Hey Jimmy, I really love your mukbangs because you’re not trying to do all that ASMR junk magnifying your eating sounds. I can’t stand that crap, triggers my misophonia. Love you, Jimmy, that food looks BOMBBB
one of my favorite places to visit in Vancouver! I love the butter beef. There's nothing like it.
Hell yeah!! Phnom Penh!!! Wooo!!!
Looks delicious!
Yo Jimmy ur back finally
They forgot to give you the staple chicken wings vinegar dip! That's what makes the chicken wings! Phnom Penh is definitely my #1 restaurant in Vancouver. You should try the bun rieu at Hoang Yen on Victoria Dr. It's another hole in the wall that's my fave.
I dig the comedy but I really enjoy the food videos.
I must go to there and eat all of that 💕
Ps I love how you're basically just like, "I don't care about allergies that won't kill me" ..and proceed to go ham on the lime you're allergic to 🤣💖
Thanks, another place to add to my list when I get back to Vancouver!
FWIW, $40 Canadian is actually closer to $31 US.
Yaletown?!! Oh gosh can’t believe we are so close!
If you’re in Vancouver for a while, and enjoy Vietnamese food, you need to try this restaurant on Victoria Drive called “Bun Cha Ca Hoang Yen”. They have this amazing crab noodle soup called “Bun Rieu”.
