    I own a Striple 675R in Spain. I fitted a K&N hi-flow air filter plus an Exan slip on exhaust. The combination of these two mods give a smoother throttle response and I believe quicker acceleration, fuel economy shows a slight improvement... letting the engine breath..

    super helpful video. i just purchased my newest bike yet. one i've been eyeballing for a while and so far, absolutely love. 2019 Speed Triple RS in white. so far, i've done the tail tidy, motodynamic sequential tail with built in tag light, removed the rear blinkers and use just the sequential tail due to the dual under seat exhaust, removed the baffles out of the arrow exhaust (sounds amazing now), installed SP connect bar clamp phone mount and wireless charger, it already had the billet brake reservoirs and rock guard for radiator when i got it, and im waiting for my AFC front indicators to show to install those. the only other few upgrades I'm considering would be factory sliders, oem heated grips, filter/tune and a motodemic single round adaptive LED headlight conversion.

    Great video man! I'm also in NJ and on planning to buy one soon. Do they offer ecu flashes for a full system aswell? One thing that I was nervous about was the lack of ECU tuning for this model. Good to hear its finally possible!

    • @pekay26
      @pekay26  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes you just have to tell them you have a full system. Apparently they have maps for various combinations. It’s not as exact as getting a custom tune, but it’s good enough for me.

    • @MA-bq8yg
      @MA-bq8yg Před 3 lety

      Hello. It was a big issue for me to chose the exhaust for the street. I watched so many videos with all kind exhausts. Then I came to a tuner and he advised me to buy whether the akra or the spark. For him it was the two best exhaust were the akra and spark in terms of performance. For me the the problem of the akra is that it change the look of the bike and the spark was in line with the bike look’s. He had tuned a street with the spark and power commander, the bike nearly makes 140hp. I have already bought my power commander. Please send me your email address I will send you a video of mine spark. Thanks

  • @SquireSCA
    @SquireSCA Před 3 lety +2

    You can tune the 2020's with TuneECU, but there are limitations... The area around idle, no matter how much fuel you dump into the F tables, it doesn't make a difference. We added 75% fuel down above idle and the AFR on the dyno didn't change a bit and it would still stall occasionally pulling up to a traffic light. The rest of the range, the changes worked, but there is something in the ECU, or in TuneECU itself, that would not allow us to tune down there.
    I tried tuning that range in the L table, which operate off of vacuum rather than throttle inputs, and still didn't work. I consulted with Paul Holden in the UK, who owns a dyno and races and tunes these bikes and he had the same issues in that area, so he advised me to get a PCV and tune it with that... In the end I spent like 10 hours of dyno time messing with this bike and found that the best way to tune it, is to take TuneECU and use it to disable O2 and SAI, raise the rev limiter to 12,800rpm and that's it.
    Unplug the O2 sensor and plug it, and then tune on the power commander. Much faster, and better results everywhere is what we found...
    When we were done, we were getting 125hp at the wheel, which is more than Triumph rates the bike at the crank... so figure it has to be somewhere around 140 at the crank to net 125 at the wheel... Same air filter, decat, and an Akra slipon.

      @SquireSCA Před 3 lety +1

      @@pekay26 Yeah, I like the sound of the Akra, and I liked that it is longer, which is god for producing strong torque... Everyone likes the super short stubby systems, but you often lose low end and midrange power with them...

      You’ll find arguments for both sides here. I tend to think it’s worth it, especially with how lean these bikes are from the factory. Is it absolutely necessary? I’m not sure, you can try the slip on without the tune and see how it feels. Some ppl reported choppiness, while others said it actually caused the bike to stall while in neutral. Here’s the link:
