Tons of content lately, and the production value is higher than ever. So excited for the state of the channel.
The quality of this latest video has genuinely upped the content level. Good effort Al 👍🏻👍🏻
Except the hours of GoPro footage without sound! 😂
@@FortyFourTeeth We'll never know how much better it could have been 😂
It could only go up ( volume of content ) compared to some points in 44teeth history…. Well done lads 👍
@@FortyFourTeeth Take a look @Leejohnston latest vlog, some great on-board footage with an insta360 sponsorship, if you are not tied to GoPro there are lots of alternatives out there.
Triumph decided to put the Speed Triple RR into production but not a new Daytona... someone please explain the logic.
That intro!🔥🔥🔥
Triumph should just sell a factory fairing kit (voila… Daytona). I reckon a lot of people would go for it!
After testing a few nakeds including the KTM and MT 09 SP. I purchased a Street Triple RS. have done 1000 miles in the last couple of weeks around the peak district and north wales. The bike is a beauty and with the added reliability over some competitors it feels like the perfect road machine, happy on the edge of the tyres and comfy when getting to the good roads.
Looking forward to many more fun miles over the next 4-5 years before i go for another new bike.
Cheers for all the coverage on this bike class, these reviews have been a great help in what to look for and what to test on each bike!
I tried the street triple rs and the ktm before settling on the yam the triumph motor felt useless compared to the Ktm and yam for day to day use
each to their own fella :) works for me with the way i like to ride but, i commute in a car. I use the bike on my days off so dont have to do a large amount of riding around traffic really. Hope your bike is serving you well!@@DaleMt09sp
Brilliantly edited and shot video. Looks like a fun upgrade to an already fab naked middleweight
People would buy the sprint, should bring it back with this motor. Good every day bike with some fun power
The KTM 890 Duke R is same money/ slightly more expensive with a few options like cruise/Bluetooth/heated grips/ tech pack etc - only the Yamaha and Kawasaki are cheaper… but imo they don’t compete with 890 duke r or 765RS
I looked at both 890 duke r/765rs for my next bike and ultimately bought a new 23 765rs and Ive loved all 103 miles I’ve done on it so far whilst running it in
The Mt09 is easily as good as the 765, I’ve had both. The 765 is more refined, easy to live with, the Mt09 more lively and aggressive. Whatever floats yer boat. KTM was great, but, too many niggles on build reliability. Yamaha was cheaper on servicing and more mpg. Still on the 765, what a bike.
@@douglasalexander4348how would you compare the comfort between MT09 and 765? Talking position and suspension...cheers
@@patrickrosello9583 I have the R 765. The RS 765 although it’s ohlins, is stiffer, which is why I went for the ‘R’ The Triumph R is more supple over small bumps compared with mt09, and handles just as well at speed, so 1-0 to Triumph. (And yes, I’ve adjusted the suspension on both) to get the best out of them, stock road setting on Triumph was spot on though) However, the mt09 has a stronger pulling engine, feels like it has more torque. The Triumph feels more refined, the MT09 a bit more spicy. It’s so hard to split the two, the Triumph is fantastic everywhere and everyday comfortable, the mt09 is a bit more aggressive and better for those go for it days, but either will get you smiling.
@@patrickrosello9583I tried all the mids bar the z900 the yam is the most comfy with the best engine imo ktm and triumph have better brakes and slightly better handling but its minor for a road bike the mt09 sp is the best and most fun of the lot that’s why I bought it 😂
Super slick production. Very good review and Q&A. Moving the game on guys!
Would love to see it on British roads and track (lashing with rain and cold notwithstanding) for useful comparison.
Cracking bike Gromit. I'd go for the RS just for the mirrors.
Im glad i found yalls vids, loving the content!
So interested to see what this is like. Had a 675R and a prev gen 765RS before and happy to hear they’ve reintroduced some of the soul of the original bike.
Very near to spunking some spondooliks in my dealers direction.
really like the answering of viewers question segment. such a shame the supersport numbers dont make sense for triumph to mass market the speed and street into supersport varients
Just a shame so many of them were stupid and obvious.
Picked up my RS in Cosmic Yellow 2 weeks ago. Had a 2018 R that I sold and had regretted getting rid of it ever since. This is a great upgrade. Early days but loving it so far.
Love that color.
@@dalecolegrove6652 Yeah I went to look at all the colours at the dealer and thought I wanted red after seeing the bike in photos but the yellow is so much better in the flesh. Really nice.
Any difference in top end power, is easily fixed with an ECU flash from an Android device. Since 2020, the R and RS have the exact same motor, same tune, etc... The only difference is the ride by wire tables. The RS delivers 100% power when you ask it to, while the R doesn't. Fuel and ignition tables are identical, the only difference are those ride by wire tables.
Think of it like... The R model's Sport Mode, is like the RS's Road Mode. The RS has one more, higher power mode than the R, that's it.
RS all day every day. For that littel extra you get so much more bike. Plus, it's fun to be able to say you got an rs 😬
I took delivery of my rs last week.....holy heck it's a bloody brilliant bike. Yes it does look like a transformer in yellow and I love it.......fastasfucatron!!!
Hahaha nice name to the bike
Sorry to hear about the technical problems, that must be unbelievably frustrating!
It is when there's hours of gold that's rendered useless!
@@FortyFourTeeth I'll just imagine all the awesome ☹️
Next level drone work gentlemen 💪🏻💪🏻👍🏻
The premium channel on the Tube for anything bike related, jizzy jizzy bang bang!
Great editing and review, its the RS for me if I can find one.
"can I fist the intake" - actually has a look to check ... J O U R N A L I S M ! 😂
Always loved the street triple, great review matey.
Nice film. Perhaps the new addition to 44teeth!👍
"A bit of Ray Keith" 🤣
Then off for a Grooverider lol
I just sold my 18’ Street Triple and loved the bike but hated the seating position vs. my 2013 Street. Do you still sit “ On Top” of the bike vs. sitting down into it? Is the position more upright on the R/RS vs. it’s predecessors?
God I love these 765s just an absolute beauty of a bike
Another great video, thank you guys. I do have to disagree on the last part. I just don't get why manufacturers link tc and abs to wheelie control while the tech is available to separate them,l. At least be able to keep abs on. It would be nice to be able to rely on it while entering a corner, just to exit it on the rear wheel.
First 30 seconds is one of the best opening I've ever seen.
Test riden one, it was fun but I just can't get over how the headlights look like..so I got a duke
Loving the question and answers
This is how I feel when I ride mine. Love it.
The drone work is bang on 👍
Awesome. Loved the intro!
Dat intro! Gave me goosebumps.
Just had confirmation my Moto2 is arriving late April/early May! Excited is an understatement... 44teeth is welcome to try it of course if they want to come up North
Enjoy!
Lucky guy
Would be nice to see the moto2 reviewed by a proper channel 44t or similar.
I kinda prefer the more relaxed stance of the R, but with all the 'bells and whistles' of the RS (including the bar end mirrors).
Simple. Buy the RS and remove the 10mm spacer. Done.
Are the bars exactly the same to? Do you think I can swap the R bars to RS
Blindingly fine intro shot down over the trees perfectly syncing with the bike coming over the bridge.
Almost like you boys know what you're...
Oh boy I've been waiting for this one
Great video, had a 2018 R Low, loved it, can't understand how Triumph's TFTs are getting worse!
@Paul B the low is very low, but being vertically challenged and having knee issues - if I can't get my foot flat I can't ride it safely.
I've had my '24 RS for 3 weeks now and just shy of 1000 miles. You totally get used to the screen.
U and I sir. I’ve put 20 k on mine so far and it’s been great. The newer ones feel cheap
I wish Triumph sold racing kits/ upgrades to turn these into track bikes.
@Fagan @44Teeth Awesome job. Love the channel. If you were going to buy the RS or even the Moto2 for track use vs the Panigale 899 959, what would you choose? Mostly track use.
Does the 765 have a more narrow tank (where your legs grab) than an R6?
Lovely bike. And big thank you for the on screen translations for yanks LOL
Thank you Sir.
The beginning of this video is fucking amazing
You know, manufacturers could just keep reducing fuel capacity down to absolutely zero. That would make the bike handle super light, and the weight would be minimized.
And it wouldn't run.
We need a 765 daytona that revs to 14500 rpm like the old one. It would make like 145 hp with the extra revs.
💯%👍
Even the official Moto2 bikes only rev to 14400.
RS all the way. You get a LOT more for the money. And if you prefer the stance of the R, simply remove the 10mm spacer from shock.
Production quality is top notch compared to your peers! Keep it up ❤
I'm very very tempted by these. The extra £1700 doesn't seem that terrible. If you added up how much those parts would cost to buy separately that is...
I picked mine up on Friday, I can confirm the ohln rear shock and the other bits and bobs on the RS are well worth the money (in my opinion). I ended up putting another £1000 of extras on mine. Plus I was lucky enough to get the Cosmic Yellow, which pops in the sunlight. Extremely happy chappy over here 👌🏻
@@sibzy1 congratulations mate! Have a fantastic summer of riding 👍
@@cp4512 thanks bud 👍🏻
@Paul B I ordered also in December, but my delivery should be July/agust.ordered the red one
@paulb3243 Red is better. I think the yellow would get old pretty quick. Red is simply GORGEOUS in sunlight!
If cost is not a factor. Which u choose triple rs vs z900
Are you sure it's not the geometry change that makes the RS a bit harder to wheelie?
Can you do stoppies with abs off?
As often the cheaper version, the R, plenty good enough and for anyone doing road only probably the happier option with the easier dash, better lo speed engine and slightly lower seat. But of course even so, most (and me if in the market) would stretch to the RS just because of that bling.
Great comparison of the two. Do we need the RS for everyday ... no, but god damn that red looks bloody good.
I'm looking at one, but wonder if being 6ft I'd look out of place. How tall are you?
I am 5'11 (32inch inseam) so probably similar dimensions just a little shorter and the bike feels very comfortable for me over the first 1000 miles. averaging 150ish miles per ride out
One of these or a MT-09 SP?
I wish we got a picture of lunch… jason always mentions it… yet no picture, feel cheated everytime!! 😂
😂 next time
So........Thai-rumph say no one is going to buy a Daytona version? You know, 'cos it 'wouldn't sell'. Really? But, they're going to buy the 'sit up and beg' RS and R, with all that jolly windblast past 80mph, but hey it's nice and comfy for tootling along like a Royal Enfield? If I am correct, the limited version of this with the clip ons but God awful colour scheme sold out ruther quickly. The only ones who think a Daytona would not sell are Triumph, I suspect.
Absolutely. Don't they remember how popular the Daytona 675R was?
The new Daytona 660 is stunning...I,d buy one...
The street triple used to be based on the daytona.
Now the daytona is based on the 765.
So the daytona will be good, but not great like the old one. Watch this space
Why do Triumph offer cruise control as an optional extra with the RS but not the R?
I've got a 675R which is perfect for the road - wouldn't want any more power. I can see the RS being better for track, but for the road I'd stick with the R.
If you had only 1 bike as a daily driver and little bit of touring which one would it be?
I've had my RS for a week and my only complaint is the small tank, a day out sometimes sees two fill ups.
Ah, so it does matter to owners then 😬
@@FortyFourTeeth Not enough to stop me buying it though I suppose!
@Quacktics I did 100 miles today on mine on 1 full tank, not full chat tho as running in still
@@sibzy1 I’m getting about 100 miles from full to fuel light after run in.
And here we are, 100 miles to fuel light, piss poor.
You can get your elbow down on any bike, at least once.
Awesome bike besides the electronic/software let down.
Nice!
Are you going to be able to try a Moto2 at some point? Seriously tempted by these bikes for road stuff. How do you think these would hold up against a Streetfighter (forgetting the massive price difference)?
The only way is borrowing one from an owner, as Triumph only has one of each colour as showroom pieces. I have a mate who has bought one, so...
@@FortyFourTeeth Buy yer mate some beer and get that bike on camera! We need to see the full monty!
I don't buy the "our customers just want something simple" excuse for not having separate wheelie & traction control. It doesn't have to be complicated. It wasn't complicated on my old S1000R or my current 790 Adv (dynamic pro on the BMW and Rally mode on the KTM disable wheelie control, no crazy menu diving required). My actual guess is it's just some dumb liability reasons. It's a shame because other than some annoying things like this with the electronics package (and weird TFT displays), modern Triumphs are nearly faultless.
Gan on lad 😂same as the last one 😂
They looked better in 2017. I like aspects of the new fairings and whatever..but eh.
Alright, TBH I am in love with this motorcycle, it's just the looks are a bit off to me. Give it Trident 660 looks, slightly more torque make it compete against the xsr 900 and I swear I'll be the first person to get my hands on one. Already looking for an upgrade.
nice stuff Al, think I'm a bit of a tubster for that bike, great production, nice editing, the one thing that turns me off from channels is heavy rock music for no reason, glad you girls don't do that, 44 T stands head and shoulders above other motorcycle channels, keep up the great work. Love to Boothy xx
No such thing as too tubby Carlos, that's what the tank is for, mine holds my belly just right.😂👍🍻🏍
@@colinm1325 lol thanks my brother from another tubby mother!
@@CarlosTilbury
Njoy the ride Lil buddy
🤣👍🍻
Legend 👊
Why does Triumph insist to keep the beaker headlight that protrude so far out from the fork? It was needed back in the days of H4 halogen bulbs but not today. The headlight is ruining the lines of the bike.
If you crash on a press launch, do you get some stick? ....
6:26 is it me or are those handlebars not actually bolted to the risers in the middle???
You're right. Mine are off too, still need to correct it.
Must commend the dynamic range of the music once again, do you have an audiophile working there... ?
No, he was cleared of all charges 😂
One can encounter some rather uncouth folk in the youtube comments section... ! A good audio experience is very much like making love to a beautiful woman, eg Lay her down on the deck, bring her up to speed with a flick of the finger (33rpm) , check your stylus for fluff, gently clean the groove with a soft bristle brush, lower your stylus into the groove, don't nudge it too hard or you might slip out the groove and damage your diamond tip, finally lay back and enjoy the experience till you reach the runout groove...
Fighting the urge to upgrade from my 2021 R
Rumour has it on the InterWebs that the R's ECU can be flashed to full RS spec. Discuss. 😁
It seems the rear shock can be flashed into an Öhlins as well
How many beers had Al sunk before the debrief ha-ha
Nice. Prefer the RS. 👍
I have a sneaking suspicion that this would be a smarter choice for fast road riding than my v4 Tuono.
I was wondering this exact thing. This summer may be time for a naked street worker, and with this bike now I question the heavy lean towards Tuono.
I love my Tuono … the midrange is so addictive, but it is very easy to ride over your head. The ST would make me work harder for the pace and stay in the realm of sanity.
@Darren Elliott I have à 2018 RS. You're never in the realm of sanity with this bike. It posseses you and make you ride like a maniac.
@@JB-nj4cp breaking in the engine was absolute torture, having to keep the rpms below the good sounding part of the range. Another agrument for a hard break-in...
@@steveman1982 I bought it second hand but i can only imagine what it's must be like to ride her under 6-8k rpm....
How much are you brits getting a new street RS out the door for ?
sold the blade i won on apex66 and ordered one of these ..
So linked wheelie control and TC is a massive no. Like the RS12
Ticks all the boxes except looks, why I passed on a Speed Triple RS with $3500 off.
A DNK tune should sort the mapping differences out!
Would the extra £1700 be better spent on having some proper suspension done on an R model instead? And a remap to bring the power back up to the rs spec?
I doubt you could make any meaningful suspension upgrades for only $1700. Remaps are great and all but they will void the warranty.
I doubt you could make any meaningful suspension upgrades for only $1700. Remaps are great and all but they will void the warranty.
@@fivespeed3026 I dunno. Ktech fork internals and rear shock are about £1500 these days for my old 2009 model and would be sprung for the riders weight. And remapping a triumph can be easily done compared to most other bikes.
You’re still missing the brakes and master cylinder upgrades, and you won’t get the money back at resale. Probably best value to go straight for the RS,but each to their own.
@@boyle1990 ok but now that you did that, you could have just gotten the RS. And you still voided the warranty, no matter how easy it is to do. Also, you still haven’t made the other upgrades and as someone else already stated, the resale value won’t be as high, especially when you go and make a bunch of changes.
The question remains, what makes a better daily, the new Street Triple 765 RS or the BMW S1000R?
Wowwweee that intro.
For the record, triumph will NEVER allow you to switch the nannies off, and have them remain off upon keying the bike on and off. I just took my daytona to the track and almost forgot to put the abs in circuit mode (which was great btw. Bottomed out before abs could kick in 😂) a couple of times. In a day where so much is happening, this is one more thing to remember. But then, the lawyers will win this one every time. 🤷♂️
Bit off topic, but the reeses cream egg advert has 44 teeth’s Chris done the voice over, ?
I had to go and listen....it's very similar! ! 😂
That dash is absolutely disgraceful
You totally get used to it.
what a quality content
K1200r. Try it.
Fueling Statham, bustin' balls!
That reflector on the front caliper looks gross.
Nice one fellas as usual. Take a look at some of mine and particularly 'Talking Yamaha R1 etc' and let me know your thoughts. Cheers, The Tig
I have a Moto 2 you can test ride it’s awesome
Why ask this? Rs or r? Both are built purpose bikes. If you arent tracking, not needing all that power nor the ohlins rear shock then grab the r. No need to buy something you wont use to full potential.
R is a great mini tourer, comfortable seating position, nice little dash, more tame etc.
