  • After dominating the Denver Nuggets the first two games, it's safe to say after a twenty year rebuild the Minnesota Timberwolves have finally arrived. With a young superstar in Anthony Edwards, the DPOY in Rudy Gobert, the long tenured backbone in Karl Anthony Towns, and the best defense in basketball, today we cover how the Timberwolves went from a laughing stock to be the best team in the 2024 playoffs.

I’m not a Celtics or wolves fan. But we do all agree that jokic usually is able to get anything off no matter the circumstances right? He can usually get the pass off or a random shot that goes in. Do you legitimately think the Celtics could somehow beat the wolves if they continue to even just put on 75% of what they did against the nuggets in game 2?
I really don’t think so. So unless the wolves get a freak injury or every player forgets how to do their main job (scoring for ant and kat, and defence for the rest of their players) then they are already favourites no matter what.

I agree with you that Minnesota is the best team in basketball. They are started to look like a potential dynasty. However, Jokic is not the best offensive player ever. This overhype train of Jokic needs to stop. He is talented, yes, but overhyped and overrated. Honestly, the Nuggets SHOULD NOT HAVE WON IT LAST YEAR. Let me repeat, they should not have won it last year. They got all favorable matchups. The T-Wolves were missing Reid and McDaniels last year or else they would've lost in the 1st rd. In the 2nd rd vs the Suns, CP3 got hurt in game 2 which the Nuggets would've lost at home. Without CP3 advantage Nuggets. Then in the Conference Finals, they played the Lakers wo they own. Then in the Finals they got an undersized Miami Heat, not the Celtics or the Bucks and there you have it a title with an asterisk.
This year they get the Wolves who are better and healthy. Here's my hot take: if they can't reconstruct this roster to beat teams like Minnesota and OKC, then Jokic won't ever get back to the Finals let alone win one. Remember Houston is coming and so is Wemby. Shoutout to Wemby for leaving the Nuggets with that L late in the season, costing them the 1 seed, forcing them to play Minnesota now and getting exposed for who they are.

With Ant and Gobert already having babies & a couple more on the way by the time Ant-Man is getting ready to retire their kids would be old enough to get drafted and continue the domination of the Wolves. If they win this year I wonder if it makes MN attractive at all to Lebron and his son.

Ofc unless a main player gets injured. But if they are at full strength there’s literally no one stopping ant or Kat it seems, and there’s no attack apparently that can even get past their defence.
They literally seem like what the nuggets were like last year. They find a way, the nuggets can’t do that this year and it was pretty obvious by how much worse they were against LA.
And I don’t think anyone has confidence in any teams from the east.
The Celtics are good, but are they really? Especially against a team like the wolves who play real defence. Even the 2022 warriors weren’t this good at defence. And I really can’t say the Celtics have developed that much since 2022 or last season, the east is just weak asf, so they are the best weak side team.
