Ride safe, seek adventure, and keep your wheels rolling in the right direction! right direction!
Nice to see another upload brother! And very informative insights into what the two bikes might be like.. I will keep my eyes and ears open 👍
HES ALIVE!!!!
IT's been so long!
I wish I could create more often. I love it so much.
The clocks just rolled back last night - pretty much no chance of catching warm sunlight after work for a ride now - sure feels like the season slammed shut.
I REALLY hope that Honda has figured out the top heavy nature of their AT. Triumph moved the engine by rotating it forward to get the weight lower. I hope Honda does the same. That and lowering the seat height a bit. I like some off-road, but its mostly gravel roads. I don’t need as much travel as a big ADV bike, but having some is required to not bottom out. Transalp could be a great bike.
Im definitely challenged by how top-heavy the AT is. I have high hopes for the Transalp.
Remember Honda that for those who like to travel alone tubeless tires are a must.
Agreed! It’d be great if they used the same spoked tubeless design they use on the Africa Twin Adventure Sports.
Let’s hope they take off all the electrical issues plaguing the 1250.
Mine let me down for the third time yesterday, not starting.
I had to take another ride.
I let my dealership know that Harley needs to buy the bike back at this point.
That’s crazy! There are so many Pan Am riders with electrical issues. I’ve been pretty lucky with near 3K on mine. I hope things get fixed or the dealership does the right thing.
@@GreatEgret 11k on mine and yeah, it’s always something.
Thanks for the info Joe, my first bike was a Honda LX 100, I’ll keep an eye out for this new model. Happy thanksgivings…
That Lx100 must have been a fun first scoot! Happy thanksgiving to you, my friend.
Transalp will be announced, one of the Honda dealers in my country allready has a page for it, no pictures or any kind of info but the page is there and it says the release sate is at EICMA.
That’s amazing news! Thanks for sharing!
I hope the Transalp offers a DCT option. I've been wanting to experience DCT in an offroad bike but Africa Twin appears a bit heavier than what I want to take offroad.
It would be a HUGE mistake if Honda doesn’t make a DCT Transalp.
please Honda, make it a manageable seat height for us short inseam guys
And less top heavy than the AT.
I don’t think it’s fair to compare the transalp to the tenere and I don’t think it’s Hondas intent to compete with it. Past generations of the tenere have always been rally/off road bikes and the transalp has always been more of a layed back but very capable adventure touring bike and it looks like nothing has changed for both motorcycles. I think the transalp will do very well with older and more timid riders who want a bike for exploration and the tenere will always attract the more aggressive hooligan riders. Lately the T7 has been the bike of choice for a lot of trans-continental explorers ( or at least most of adv moto bloggers I watch) but I think the transalp might dethrone it for that purpose. The Honda looks more comfort focused and it appears that you might actually be able to flat foot it. We’ll see. I’m looking forward to a more comfortable option than the T7.
There’s no doubt that the T7 is somewhat in a off-road class by itself compared to other brands and it’s impossible to directly compare it with whatever the new TransAlp will become. I think you’re spot on with many riders wanting a flat foot-able and more comfortable option over the T7. Especially one with rider modes and a TFT display.
@@GreatEgret I think the transalp will be welcomed by the adventure community. Watching other people with older transalps going through the Himalayas and pamir highway, looks like it tackles all that stuff just fine. I’m sure this new gen won’t be any different.
They made the TransAlp a whopping ~200KGs - that's insane(ly bad). But, if they add DCT (an absolute MUST) and a seat height of 800mm, they will sell these bikes like cupcakes.
This is the most accurate comment you will see on this video!
whats heavy about 200kg?
I think 200Kg is a great weight. That about what the T7 is. I think Honda selling a lot of Transalps if the seat height is 800mm and there is a DCT versions is accurate.
I just hope the 975 is much lighter, might be my next bike.
Look at the Tiger 1200 and 900, not THAT big of a weight difference. But I do own the 900 because it is lighter.
@@jasonshortphd The only thing keeping me from riding a Tiger is that no one near me sells or repairs them.
One out of two isn't bad?
I’ll take that! 💪
Transalp 750 😍
Pan america 975 💩
I’m ridiculously interested in the Transalp!
Again nothing new
For you, yes. For others this is new information. Not everyone reads or watches this as closely as you. Plus it gives an opportunity for those that follow this channel to discuss these bikes here.
