almost the same thing here!! my mom has this dvd copy of queen's greatest hits and whenever she plays it, the screen goes to the music selection where this was used as a background song. i never knew the title of this song so i listened very closely and tried almost all of their songs.
Queen II is a very underrated album. One of the best prog albums ever made.

The album that got me into Queen. Late 80s early 90s, before music was so accessible. Soon i owned every album, and was ridiculed for drawing my own Queen graphics on my trapper keeper. Now its sort of funny to see them so popular with the younger generation today. They were much of my childhood. Fairy fellars master stoke gave me chills.

Love this song!!! Freddie's piano playing is phenomenal and those vocals are unmatched to this day! Brian on the guitars floors me and then Roger is always a master on the drums and John brings it all together beautifully with that bass! Still legendary 40 years later!!

truly the stars, planets and the entire universe must have been aligned for these four talented, hard working men to meet and form the most influential, amazing and inspiring band ever
never did it for the money, fame etc..... that's what was so great about them. and in all honesty, none of them were extraordinary musicians, yet the combined talent of the 4 above average performers was extraordinary. they complimented each other completely. i remember watching a documentary where freddie forgot the lyrics to a song and roger took right over and nobody even noticed. their voices were very similar....... people refer to michael jackson as the king of pop, elvis is the king of rockabilly, theres the queen of soul, aretha and others with such titles. Queen- the royal family of MUSIC. Freddie Mercury- the exalted Monarch. they did it all. pop, rock, disco, thrash metal, heavy metal, gospel, opera, rockabilly......... hell, even Bohemian Rhapsody was originally written as a country song! so to all Queen fans, dont just watch the music videos- find documentaries and lost BTS clips. theyre out there and deserve a close look. great insight into the band.

In fact, we ought to recognize Freddie was the real brain that changed the destiny of a simple band called Smile.
Yeah he's smooth as hell. Then again he loved classical music so he's probably comparing himself to concert pianists. I've been playing since I was 4 but I'd consider myself a pile of trash next to some of those pianists lmao.
