Got the love for Queen from my dad. This song always reminds me of how he told me that he would stay up till late at night listening to boxing matches from overseas on the radio. Back when either the TV didn't play it or you only had one at home and weren't allowed to watch it at 3 in the morning. Such a great song, and listening to the radio is still so enjoyable.

I remember when I was in my late teens / early 20s, after suffering from a particularly bad stint of depression that lasted about a year, and attempting suicide, I started listening to a lot of Queen and being blown away by just how magnificent their entire musical catalog was. It's been 15+ years since my suicide attempt, and my love and appreciation for this band gets deeper and deeper every year. It resonates so much more. This song in particular has only become that much more powerful as I get older.

I was fortunate enough to see Queen in concert at the Edmonton Coliseum back in December of 1976. A concert I will never forget, what a show. On stage, Freddie was the master. Taken from us far too young. The movie really hit home, and I felt myself tear up at the end of the movie.

I was born in 1989, and grew up listening to Queen. My mom was obsessed. I remember being 6 years old asking my mom if we could see them. She was all sad and said no because Freddie died.... I was devastated! Just thinking about it still breaks my heart.
That's sad...not as sad as waiting for the Olympics JUST to see THAT show and hearing he died....
