Ayy, Burris Racing Huntington Beach represent! I loved that I could order my tire from them and picked it up in store! I've tried Hoosier tires and they weren't bad, but my heart belongs to Burris.
I appreciate the honesty. A super smooth and stable tire is a needed option. I'm on FF Whisper now, I will do a cloud next.
I've been on the fence about this tire over getting another whisper and you just convinced me to try the Burris Cloud!

Great review! Surprised to hear it’s not as nimble as the whisper! That was my only problem with the whisper. Felt a bit too mushy/not nimble enough to be my go to slick.

Jeff' you forgot to mention the Burris slick which says 6.0 but measures more like 5.5". It's a very nimble and light tire as well....

Folks say that’s the whisper as it’s super light. Any tire will give you better mileage at a higher psi

@@TheFloatLife You should wait a mile or two after a dog trail before licking it. Pro tip from a treaded user. Our wheels taste worse, no contest.
Would want to know if and how much the range is effected. Seems like a huge point no one talks about. Just put on a treaded Vega and the range took a 💩
You usually lose about 20% range with a treded tire. That Vega tried it is insanely heavy and big so you can kiss your range goodbye
I was planning to get the street pro tire before this but now I’m considering the cloud now which do you think is better?
Both great tires. I would say if you want tricks, go for the street pro. If you want a good all-around tire and don’t really do slides, go with a cloud

Nice tire! To me any tire can feel great go to custom settings and change it. I'll take a $25 unilli tire and out carve just changing the settings and save my cash for ganja Float Life.. 😁
How does the custom setting change the durometer of the tire?
@@TheFloatLife it' doesn't. It's definitely a thin tire. The onewheel settings and psi has much control over the way these tires feels in my opinion.
What's the range on it like compared to whisper?
Probably pretty similar
What about side wall comparison? Damaged my rim doing a drop on the whisper.

I've been riding the XR stock with recommended psi for years - these videos fascinate and terrify me. I can't imagine being able to tell a difference at all, but I'm so curious about it. I wish there was some way to try out this stuff. I mean, my xr has been out of my-warranty for years, and I'm still terrified to put after market parts on it - even though it's well within my capabilities. Maybe it's just a money thing, but I still think I'm going to stick to stock everything.
You would absolutely, without a doubt, be able to tell a difference coming from the Vega. I mean it’s unmistakable and not subtle at all.
Also swapping a tire is cake. You got this! You will thank yourself and you’ll wonder how you ever enjoyed the XR as it was. A tire makes THAT much of a difference.

Yeah a nimbus is almost a pint tire so that’s gonna act more like a 5.5 in terms of carvability

Which is best for WTF rails?
A common complaint about the WTF rails is you lose some maneuverability, so I would say if you want to negate some of that, go with the Whisper (or even better yet, a 5.5 tire)

Everyone has different tastes, it most folks love the whisper. What is it you don’t like about it?
@@TheFloatLife my buddy and I both bought whispers 2 summers ago after being sucked into the hype and we both hated them. I guess it's possible we got a bad batch or something. It had a weird edge that almost tossed me a few times and it took alot more effort to carve than I was used to. I was coming from a burris slick to the whisper and it felt like I downgraded. My buddy took his whisper off the same day he got it. I gave it a chance and put about 400 miles on the tire then switched back to my old burris and was annoyed I didn't do it sooner.
was that supposed to be a brand new tire?? Why do you have cruds inside the tire? Looks like it has been installed before and was removed. Burris Cloud is selling second hand tires. I think this may require Quality control.
They sent us two tires. We installed one and rode a bunch. The other one we just installed on a hub for back up and put it on the shelf. Then we pulled it off to film the video to show comparison un-mounted.
