One of their most underrated songs. The video was masterfully done.
Yes
Totally agree
Das minhas músicas favoritas do Mötley Crüe.
Thank you. It was one of my favorite projects.

This Is the most beautiful song about murder I’ve ever heard
I play it to the girls napping in my van
This and Delilah by Tom Jones
@@katherine9787 Good comparison. They both sound like love songs until u actually listen to the words.
Yes it is...far better than "Down By the River" IMO.
Omg. You're gay
Mick Mars' outstanding guitar abilities needs recognizing far more broadly, this solo was unmistakably unique
Agreed , this guitar solo is amazing.
Minor chords get to me every time.
Mick has so many great solos. They lift the songs to another level. Unlike some bands solos just repeat the chorus with a guitar.
@@buytheredcar Twisted Sister must be one of these bands ha ha
Actually, all the music in it was unique. The chords and how they change it up in the middle of the song was just genius, especially for back in the 80's. Very gifted guitar player.
My dad passed away yesterday and now I'm making a playlist with all the songs he loved and I remember him by. This is one of them. Thank you dad for showing me the greatest artists of all times. Loved, missed and never forgotten 🤘🔥❤
My heart goes out to you. I lost my dad awhile back but as I'm sure you know, unless you have been thru it you cannot understand what it feels like to lose a parent. Fuck I'm tearing up as I type this. Anyhow it's gonna take awhile but eventually you start to replace the sad memories with happy ones. Take care.
very sorry for your loss, God Bless
I'm sorry for the loss of your loved one and he was right, the 80's was the GREATEST DECADE EVER!!!!!!!!

I don't understand how come you hardly ever hear this song,it's one of crue's best songs. Listen to the words, it will tell u everything. I consider this to be Vince's masterpiece, his voice was made for this song.
Because this video was banned from MTV due to the violent content. I agree that this song is one of the Crüe's best.
A big hit. These guys were and is awesome
Eu amo a voz do vince
Vince’s voice gives me goose bumps every time, his voice is angelic
I agree! It stood out as a signature sound, it had a rock and roll edge and high like an electric guitar. I think the beautiful ballads did it the most justice.
He really didn't. I'm sure it was studio magic. He wasn't a good singer
Nowadays it's horribly satanic
It's cause of this song made me even addticed to Mötley Crue even more
Ari Awan biggest mistake they made in their career was firing Vince Neil.

2020 and this ballad song still rocks out
Fuck ya
No doubt. I grew up listening to Motley Crue.
I’m convinced this is one of micks best guitar solos
I share your opinion. A lot of repeating segments laden with wailing reverb and delay - unusual and emotional. Flows with odd shape through the key changes. It's a masterpiece.
have you heard merry go round lateiy that shit is awesome but mickis one of the most not talked about guitarist in history in my opinion, dudes a beast!
It was one of the first solos I tried to learn when starting to play guitar in the late 80's. This video showing what he was doing was such a great help and rewound it many times to get it down.
This is one of d most beautiful songs d crue has done. Vince's voice made it sound even better.
I hate when people say Mötley Crüe is all about sex and drugs. This song and many others are good examples of songs that will hit home for a lot of people. Ive seen alot of mental and physical abuse and endured it myself. I love this song. The passion behind it
Your words are my words...this is Nikki´s song...he wrote it...about a betrayal girlfriend...
Yes you right this song was based on true story the telling by singing this song what drug’s and domestic violence can ended up in tragedy 🥲
This ones about unaliving your cheating girlfriend... Nikki wrote it for an ex

This is one of my all time favorite songs! Motley Crue is an amazing band, I grew up with them, loving them, and now my 20 year old son loves them as much as I do! ❤❤❤
I was born in 76 but grew up with many, many older cousins that listened to 80's rock so as a child I fell inlove with Motley Crue. My favorite album is their 1st (to fast for love) but they had many great albums (shout at the devil), (theater of pain), (girls, girls, girls) and (Dr. Feelgood) this band rocked my 80's and love the movie dirt.

In my opinion this is Crue's most well-written song musically and lyrically. Too bad it didn't get a chance to air as a video. A song this good needs to be heard!!
Back in the 80s.When the crue were at full speed. And just hitting their stride!
One of their BEST tunes....I used to play it over and over...the lyrics were so haunting...i couldn't get enough of the song.....I don't remember the video being banned though...just played late at night on MTV...when MTV ACTUALLY aired music videos in the 80's...
That was a very classic Mick Mars guitar solo. None of this "look what I can do" bullshit, just play what the song needs and make it count.
yes i totally agree with you, love this solo, love Mick he is cool.
Possibly their best song. Great guitar work and background vocals . Vince nails it start to finish. 80s music can't be beat
The blade of my knife
Faced away from your heart
Those last few nights
It turned and sliced you apart
This love that I tell
Now feels lonely as hell
From this padded prison cell
So many times I said
You'd only be mine
I gave my blood and my tears
And loved you, cyanide
When you took my lips
I took your breath
Sometimes love's better off dead
You're all I need
Make you only mine
(I loved you)
So I set you free
I had to take your life
You're all I need
You're all I need
And I loved you so
But you didn't love me
Laid out cold
Now we're both alone
But killing you
Helped me keep you home
I guess, it was bad
'Cause love can be sad
But we finally made the news
Tied up smiling
I thought you were happy
Never opened your eyes
I thought you were napping
Well, I got so much to learn
About love in this world
But we finally made the news
You're all I need
Make you only mine
(I loved you)
So I set you free
I had to take your life
You're all I need
You're all I need
And I loved you so
So I put you to sleep
You're all I need
Make you only mine
(You're all I need)
thank you!

Im thankful to have grown up in the 80s, when we had to wait for MTV to play our songs or go buy the cassette tape because we couldn't look them up on internet. The 80's....what can you say about them? Well if you lived them, you loved them. The music was music. Back when guitarists were incredible, drummers were beasts, vocalists were awesome at their craft as well as great frontmen. Here I am 40 yrs later listening to this music, singing at the top of my lungs and the whole village is sayin there he goes again!!! Yes kids if you lived the 80's you loved them and wonder how you made it out alive!!!! I lost a lot of friends in the 80's and will always remember them. Love you guys and gals!!! Miss you forever and always!!!
you said it brother . My first love in life a beautiful blonde started me into lifestyle of a true 80s rocker with this album. They were our favorite ,we was gonna go see them, we rocked to them in front seat and loved to them in the back seat. Not a day goes by with a song from that era that dont bring an instant memory from high school, partying , girls , sex , roadtrips, poofed up hair and tight jeans that were harder to get off than them putting them on. Heartbreaks and sad goodbyes , people we will never see again until that one song comes on and for a moment you do. She got killed 3 years ago . So many first in life for me became my last. The 80s were not the best because of this genre of music, they were best cause they were fun happy carefree days , always something to do or go see , concerts every week but to know the 80s was to live them and you can with ever song in some way . No internet or cell phones and we had a better time and way of life than ANYONE in this day or time will ever know or could duplicate. And to all the 'newer' generation of talent judges who constantly down us and always making fun of Vince being fat and cant sing no more like back then and this guy cant play drums no more after the '93' tour or they look like hell now . They in their f#%^ng 60s and 70s and still doing more stuff making more money and sound better than your whining ass voice does . They have every right to miss a step , not as fast on a double bass kit or not sing as high or putt his butt in leather pants 3 sizes too small but By GOD they still rocking ! And really why if you don't like the 80s or hair bands , the songs , the lyrics , or topic , or death metal kill everything satan rules gay sex hip hop boom boom banga jip jap janga dang band from east side of Nome Alaska just off the frontage road is the hands down best band going today and ALL you people are messed up thinking this is ......? WHY are you in here commenting on a video from mid 80s + Motley Crue / with other headbangers / people who know what i saying is true chat room trying to convince us that your one reply ,remark or crying bs means a damn thing to what we like. I heard this at a fairly young age when I first started listening to music around 14. This song's brings tears to my eyes. Everything traumatized me as a child and its left me heartbroken
On a brighter note they had at one time thought Vince wasn't right for the band. I can't imagine them without him

Out of all the hair bands in the 80's Motley Crue tops them all
I agree 100%, but lets start calling Motley Crue a Hard Rock or Rock band because I believe music snobs like to use the term
"Hair Bands" as an insult, but in reality those Thrash bands and Grunge bands had just as much "Hair" as the bands that they were mocking, sucks to be such hypocrites just out of the fact that they were just jealous.
@@tonyponchopeters nah I have to disagree with the logic. The grunge bands that took over? Sure they had a lot of long, straggly hair, but it wasn't all "prettied and hair sprayed" up! Lol. That was the point. Get away from the "pretty boy" 80's look (which I didn't mind at all), and just let it go...and that's what they did. I think the 80's was the "HAIR GENERATION"! LOL. I know mine was very high and tons of aqua net. That was just the way it was. Are they knocking them? Not really, at least I dont think so. We lived it and it was ALL about the hair
@@jasonthetapersonal If you say so.
If you prefer Slayer to Motley Crue that's cool... but I don't tbh.
I can listen to a couple of Slayer songs when the mood strikes, but never a whole album of that, no dynamics what so ever, varity is the spice of life in anything.
@@tonyponchopeters I call them Masters of Metal. They had the look during Too Fast For Love and Shout At The Devil.
And your right, if you look at the Motley Crue comments through out You Tube there are some that are VERY NEGATIVE. I've been blasted for saying this is my favorite band. Vince is fat, blah blah blah.... I won't comment on the Mick Mars comments. F**KING IDIOTS.
They were also called Glam Metal which I hated. Ratt, Dokken, Krokus, Warrant, Y&T, Loudness. Hell there were so many Metal bands. Again I call them Metal...period. Even the Scorpions had that look. Crazy hair, leather, etc. The entire 80's had a great influx of music. Iron Maiden who had been around for a while, also another older metal band. DIO. They were sick in concert as was Iron Maiden. Add crazy bands like W.A.S.P., Twisted Sister, Accept, and I saw a comment about Slayer. Not my cup of tea but ok. Add Pantera, Megadeath, and AC/DC and it was METAL EVERYWHERE....LOL. It was great to be alive. One more I can't forget......OZZY OSBOURNE.
I was a Metallica fan back before they became goofs. I got to see Cliff Burton do the Bass Solo from Kill 'em All. It was unreal. Epic. I was 20 feet away from him. It was at the Eagles Ballroom. No seats, General Admission. One of the best concerts I saw. Motley Crue is #1, Iron Maiden and Dio tied for #2, and Metallica and Cliff Burton at #3. Ozzy is at #4. God so many memories.
No way. Def leppard tops every band
I find it so unfair that I don’t have a time machine to go to the 80’s.
Well, now MTV has a legitimate excuse to not show this video, because they don’t show videos anymore
I love Motley Crue. My parents were 80’s babies and my dad did me the justice of growing up with this band. This song particularly was written for Niki Six’s girlfriend whom he thought was cheating on him, he played it for her and when she began to cry he dramatically left the room and never came back. It’s touched base on in a documentary about Motley Crue when the book The Dirt was set to release, as well as the original film, that had Ashton Kutcher as Niki Six and Johnny Knoxville as Tommy Lee.

I remember when this video got banned before we could even see it. Even in the 80’s they were showing way worse on the news every night in Los Angeles.
That's because they were still not wanting to admit that mental illness was actually a thing! It is a real thing and men were still in dominant power most of the time everywhere! Women were still rising! And women most often experience chemical imbalance. Both men and women can experience chemical imbalance ((especially if there's nutritional deficiencies!)) This video would bring too much awareness for the time! Love MÕTLEYCRÜE 444-Ever
True. Which is why they mentioned ''but then again, who ever said the 6 o'clock news was pretty?" On the opening disclaimer
They were showing worse shit everywhere. The thing is though, back then domestic violence was still a taboo subject.
All I got is say 2020 what u see now?
Like they wouldn't show Alice In Chain's Rooster.... too brutal!
Just to set the record straight, I was not a groupie because I never followed musicians around. I have a successful career. Vince Neil showed up at my work twice before I actually decided to take a chance and go out with him. I was with Vince Neil in 1993, back when he was so gorgeous and we were together for awhile and I have to say that Vince treated me like I was the only woman important to him. He's the sweetest, most generous and thoughtful guy I've ever been with. He had the greatest sense of humor. Of course, he was into the long blonde hair and boobs which I was lucky to have. I don't regret my time with him. You're always in my heart Vince. ❤
What do you look like now? Time was not been kind to Vince.
@@jonklein7130 I take really good care of myself. Vince is 7 years older than I am. Some people say that I haven't changed much at all. Vince on the other hand, I don't know what he was thinking but I do know he has been through a lot and he has let himself go but he is working on it.
V N it goes to show you that money and fame don’t always bring happiness. I will have to watch the movie dirt. It was probably a good thing you did not stay with him.
@@jonklein7130 What people see are the good side of Vince but if you knew him like I did, he was different on the road but he was good to me though and very protective. I don't have any regrets.
V N it just looks like he has lived a hard life. Keep in contact. I like interesting people jwk2834@gmail.com
What a fucking melody, Crüe is sensational ❤️🔥
Micks finest hour ....
For you, Allan "Merlin" (RIP 2019), Souvenirs, I miss you...
Damn me and my girl listened to this song a lot. Our relationship ended today and this songs been on repeat in my head nonstop. Rip
Mrbrett 22 blast some hard heavy motley Crüe and have it so loud it drowns the thoughts out
Same brother. I know exactly how you feel. Me and my ex were together for a year and a half. This was one of our songs. She left me for someone else. So I know what you're going through bub. It'll be okay. I just play songs that makes me happy, which is mostly Mötley Crüe and their first five albums.
Arguably their best song, the message gives you goosebumps, sometimes Love IS better off dead, leave the she devil fast
It's kind of their ballad masterpiece, but sadly they never play it live
Love you MÖTLEY CRÜE

LA GLAM POWER BALADA CON LA ATMOSFERA MAS MELANCOLICA, TRISTE Y NOSTALGICA DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS, SEGUN MI MUY HUMILDE OPINION...MOTLEY CRUE...SIMPLEMENTE UNOS GENIOS.
Well said
Es buenaza pero tambien escucha House of Pain de faster pussycat
@@inka1105 ¡¡¡ VOY A ESCUCHAR ESA CANCION QUE ME RECOMIENDAS...GRACIAS Y SALUDOS !!!.
My baby brother was murdered by his girlfriend who he had 2 kids with. She constantly put knives to his throat, beat him savagely... he continued to go back because of the children and the intense feeling that "love" felt like. Now... he's the 240th homicide in our city for the year. Ironically stabbed in the heart. We're all broken beyond repair, and awaiting her charges for pre meditated homicide. Growing up, I was fascinated with this song playing it over and over on my little boom box radio. After watching the report on tv... all I could hear in my head was " but we finally made the news..." Domestic violence isn't a one way street! One of the most beautiful souls you'd ever know was taken by the hands of his affection. If you or anyone you know is in a situation lethal like this song or my brother's tragic tale, leave! You don't need a love like that. No matter how real or intense it is, it'll be the end of whatever you believe to be everything. I love and miss you James.
me vale verga xD
@BeckyBoo thank you!
so...did she get life in jail, death, or still waiting?
this just happened December 27th of last year. Just the beginning of a long long battle
@@TrueyLewis so, "Long battle", im going to take that as "the murderer is still awaiting a sentence!"
Sadly, They never played this song live
Why ?
@@larsulrich26ulrich42 because it's a very beautiful, sensual, soulful ballad and it has a lot of fans. especially among people with broken hearts, this song can heal
@@bardo1345 Exactly, also I dont think Vince could handle those high vocal
@@bardo1345 this song is about killing someone...
@@ethanelijahmusic LOL.
