I remember I asked my grandmother for this album(on tape) for Christmas. Lol. It was 1989 and I was 7 years old. My parents were not happy with my grandmother that Christmas as I turned off the Christmas carols and blasted kick start my heart! Haha good times!
This is the best comment! Thank you for the laugh, because I can just imagine it! 🤘
That is so cute...you knew good music at 7.anf I bet you asked ur grandma because your parents said no lol
There were probably really enjoying it, under disguise.😂
Tell ma ma she is bad ass

Vince has the looks, Tommy has the swagger, Nikki has the ego, Mick has the talent. :) I love the whole CRUE, but Mick is the best.
theMETALDOVE Tommy is a drunk woman beater,Nikki is a heroin addict dufus,Vince is a drunk driver with a murder under his belt and Mick is crippled
Maybe you are all those things!

You need your face stomped!
@@kentucky8256 what is your point? Find one person on the planet who doesn't have skeletons in their closet?
@@kentucky8256 so tf what if nikki was a heroin addict. that was a long time ago. Yeah he died 2 times but he came back and is better than ever. he's sober now. the past is the past. so don't sit there and bash tommy, Vince, nikki and Mick. they all made mistakes but everyone does that. besides back in their day it was famous for sex, drugs and partying and that's what they did. Vince obviously didn't know he was gonna be in a wreck and kill razzle. I don't believe that Tommy would actually mean to hit a women and Mick can't help what happens to his health. hell look at me almost 18 and I have deterioration in my L4 down to my tailbone and i can't do much bout it. so get ur facts straight and actually appreciate their music if not don't comment at all and keep ur opinions to urself.
This was when Motely Crue was at their absolute peak.
This song is one of their BEST and doesn't get enough airplay!
Agreed!
You guys clearly did not live in the 80s holy shit
It got a ton back in the 80's/90's
Why not?
@@thegodfather1907 I don't know
Ill say it again i was so lucky i grew up during the 80s. I would give anything to go back and re-live those years =*(

You got that right brother..we got to live in the now, and grew up ,with Motley Crue, and their music..Metal was a lifestyle in our day...
i so agree with you. those were the best times of my life. i wouldnt change a thing. well, maybe a few things 😎
Rawhead Rex Fuckin A. Those were crazy years. The Kings Of Sleaze!! Motley Crue
For all of those people saying “move on” , “let it go”, or “stop reminiscing for the past”, I say that ship has sailed. Everyone who is doing those things are in their late 40s, 50s or maybe early 60s. And these were damn good times when we were kings and queens. I now understand when our parents talking about the 60s or perhaps 50s. Cheers to you all
And it's going to be sad to hear what kids today will say 40 years from now growing up in this Era? The roller rinks? Pool halls ? Friday night cruise night? The all night skates? Oh yea that was the 80s generation
@@rockroll4888 Hell Yeah! My times exactly!! Definitely the best of times!
Nothing needs to move on more than the creepy crap of grunge from 30 years ago and that Eminem freakazoid from 25 to 30 years ago now that is something that's old and outdated
My most favorite Motley Crue song...it taught me that you can love somebody forever but you don't have to be together forever..
That's the truth. Truer words were never spoken.
Brings me back to my teenage years. Being a teen in the 80s was amazing. The music, the concert, the girls. Love the way The Crue brings me back.
Im 36 and my time musically as a teenager sucked compared to this era, when I was concived crue had to have been playing in the background
@@joeygouda haha nice. You had alot of good alternative music as a teen tho.
I had Nintendo and Motley Crue what a life
I was also a teen in the 80's.
YES~
Best decade ever to be a teenager!!!
Yup
Or to be a kid... I was introduced to Dr Feelgood when I was in the 6th grade. Hehe.
I ❤️ the 80's ...
Best Era EVER ❤️
Nothing will EVER compare!!
Yup
This song brings me back to late spring of 1990! Watching this after school on MTV. I haven’t watched this video in 32 years!
You are so right here. The nostalgia takes me back.
Yeah, the Dr. Feelgood material got lots of play on MTV in '89-90. Those were the days...

Absolutely Matt, I love the Crue, back when things were simpler and less complicated! Love this song!
Matt Vierra I have to agree
Matt Vierra yeah i was listening to them at 8 yrs old in 88 89
I saw Motley Crue on their Dr Feelgood tour in London's Wembley Arena in 1989. It was fucking magic. I was 16. I miss those days, but I wouldn't go back now I have my boy to keep me sane.
Wow that’s awesome.
Dr Feelgood was such a good album. Great writing, great performances and great mix. A proper grown up rock album. 35 years old? No - I won't believe it!
first time I heard of Crue was in 1984 as a young kid. Been a fan ever since. 80's were an amazing time to be alive.
+Mr W
Amen brother.
+Mr W ....Yeah, the 80s made this new age demonic shitfest look like a wet sausage floating in a cesspool runoff. It will never come back and now we are all about to die. Everyone is gone, taken by the wicked.
yes they were....anyone who was a teenager back then.......was blessed to witness the greatest decade of American culture in music ever......PERIOD!! We had it so good. The kids today have no idea what they missed. Well, most kids anyway. I've made sure my two boys are educated on the subject. Now, they love 80's, and that's it. It means that in a herd of zebras, my sons wear stripes of a different color!! At least they have that much. But they will never know what it was like to live through it all....how much fun it was. There will never be anything like it.
So sad that music has devolved into what it is today. FFDP are good, but what else is there?
they were!!!!
The most underrated song of all time - it's very sad.
Why
Born in 1993, I wish I could live the 80s for all the amazing music. I've loved Mötley Crüe since I was 15 and I was super lucky to see them in Milan in 2015 with my dad - I'll never forget it.
😊
I was 16 when this song was released. Any questions about the 80's just ask. I saw them on this tour. Magical time.❤
It was, indeed, an amazing time to be alive and a rock music fan. There was so, so much vitality and originality in music those days, back when musicians had much more creative freedom and independence from big corporate labels.
I graduated from North Davidson High School in 1993. Good yr to be born. And yes, the 80s,.... just utterly unexplainable!!😂
I miss the 80's and early 90's really bad. When this video came out on MTV, I was 16 years old. Make no mistake about it, the world was NOT the complicated mess it is now. Yes, there were many problems. Not like this ball of twilight zone dystopia we have today.
Also, and I truly think the vast majority of people who were alive at this time and old enough to remember will agree that the music from this era was our crutch to get through our personal miseries. Motley Crue is definitely one of those musical heroes.
I really wish we had a real mtv station like it was back then. I miss it. Then again I do not care for 95% of todays music so I guess it really doesnt matter.
tarnisan I watch vh1 classic. It's as close as you can get
10 4
tarnisan You have CZcams
tarnisan MTV classic is on..so check that out..there's some crue that plays on there...
the only problem with CZcams is when videos are buffering it's so frustrating and annoying. just putting my 2 cents in.
Motley Crue. Scorpions. Skid Row. Def Leppard. All the bands from that time had a kind of similarity that was so 80's. Such good music. How could it go from that to the crap of today?
there's good stuff out there, just all underground now
vwr32jeep because this generation sucks
its not that bad then again u didnt grow up when hair metal was prevalent
vwr32jeep we need some more bad ass rock
vwr32jeep preach brother
I grew up in the 80’s and loved Crue then and still do. Finally got to see them on their last tour and it was one of the best concerts I’ve been to still.
No such thing as A "Final tour "until the last one of these bastards four rings the last call bell, which hopefully many years from 2022. The damn roaches keep on till sitting on wheelchair in a "rest" home.
This was a sleeper song. It was pretty good. Did not get the credit it deserved as part of one of the best songs of the Crue.
An under rated gem from the Crue!! As much as I could listen to all the "main" hits until my ears bled, I always loved this one. Takes me back to late spring, early summer of 1990
Absolutely, graduated in '90. Brings me back!!!

Take me back!! 2020 has made me so thankful for growing up in the 80''s!!
This is my favorite Crue song, brings back great memories when this song was hot on the charts.
The first time I got to experience the Crüe was back in 2011, I was 12 at the time & was with my mom. When they played this song, she sang it at the top of her lungs, it was a wonderful feeling. Through the years it had become the song that reminded me of my mom and how we would cruise town and jam to it. I got to see them again one last time this past summer and when they played this again for me live, my mom & I sang our hearts out, danced together, and cried. I'll never forget those two amazing moments in my life. This song really hits home for me.
Nice, good times👍
Awww💕.....that's awesome
That is a wonderful memory for you and your mom, a time that only those of us lucky enough to live before big business turned music into gangster rap and britteny spears. Don't care if i spelled it wrong, she sucks either way,lol
Same! Started with Crue in 2011 and came with my dad to Las Vegas to see them live. This song was super
Awesome!!!!
I actually found Motley's Walk of Fame Star during my last trip to LA.Also got to walk the strip.Felt cool to walk the same street that Motley walked on and made famous.
cctitansfan that's really cool do you remember what area it was by??? I'm going down there next month and would love to stop by and see it...
Joe Tarlos it was right around the corner from a food joint called Mel's diner from what I remember.
Thank you so much I'll definitely have to check that out...
cctitansfan I did the same last year!! It was so awesome!! I tried to feel as if I had my own band and we ruled the streets.. maybe one day.. I’m just a bright eyed teenager for now trying to live up to my guitar idols.
i didn’t last time i was there and i regret it so much.
This is the best song they´ve ever written. Absolute top, high class from Crue.
Nothing about Molly crew was high class hate to break it to you man but they were just a scrubby rock and roll band that was awesome but no class involved Vince Neil killed somebody in the DUI accident so I'd say no class
@@johnhillo3403 I don´t mean that Crue had some kind of class, because they did not. Have never been a fan of that band, but even bands like Crue could surprise you now and then. Actually that record (Dr. Feelgood), is rather ok, but mainly this song. I am a fan of completely other hard rock bands, here, I´m talking great bands like Deep Purple and Rainbow, there we can discuss style and class. You don´t have to hate something about break anything to me, because I agree with you, some songs does not make a band great or with class. Yes, that accident will follow Mr. Neil for a long time.
Better than Glitter? C'mon man...
@CooganYou don´t have to be so formal, I actually don´t care who´s written any of their songs, I just made a statement about a great song, either he, she or it has written the song. You have to excuse me, but I don´t think Sixx would be able to produce that kind of song himself, without any kind of help. Not really a fan of that band, but I saw them on the Feelgood tour, back in ´89 and even I was impressed, pretty good, actually.
@Coogan This is the kind of music Blackmore prefer nowadays and I have no commence, whatsoever, considering what he has been doing earlier in his career, but I agree with you about the "new" Rainbow, that singer does not deserve to be mentioned in the same meaning, as the great Ronnie James Dio or Doogie White, for that matter. I would not say that Blackmore´s Night is lame, as you say, it is still the great Blackmore on stage. But I prefer the wild Blackmore on stage, rocking like hell. I am lucky enough to have been able to see him, both in Rainbow and Deep Purple, as well. Saw Rainbow, back in ´82 with Girlschool as supporting band and Deep Purple, a couple of shows on the reunion tour ´85 and a couple of shows in ´87. That´s the place there Blackmore always should be, rocking on the stage with a great hard rock band, next to him.
Man these was the days to live life and have fun just isn't the same these days and time who is with me
Maan, I wouldve done anything to hang out with Nikki Six, Mick Mars, & Tommy Lee just walking down the streets!

Dr. Feelgood was released on this day 8/1/89. It's the fifth studio album by American heavy metal band Mötley Crüe. Dr. Feelgood topped the Billboard 200 chart, making it the band's only album to claim this position as of 2020. It was the first album Mötley Crüe recorded after their quest for sobriety & rehabilitation in 1989. In addition to being Mötley Crüe's best selling album, it is highly regarded by music critics & fans as the band's best studio album. This was also the band's last album to be recorded with lead singer Vince Neil until the 1997 album Generation Swine.

I have to tell you, 10 years ago I bought tickets in April (for rain or shine) for September 11 in 2012. Was rain or shine in Kiss opened up and that was the hardest thing was that Allegan County Fair had to rebuild the whole stage to come from every which way but loose. There was a guy who won a contest or something for his 65 yr old wife to be attached to to Tommy Lee. We were so nervous, but we her slowly being taken away with Tommy Lee. Was a sober concert so we're all waving to her. She had the time of life & so did I just watching her. Amazing bucket list.
