Lola is like one of my grandma's now, she's really keeping it strong. I pray that she's going to be on tiptop shape in no time. My grandfather passed away recently, and I'm still sensitive whenever I see my lolas and lolos getting sick. Thank you for being strong as always chris and fam, you guys got this. And lola got this. All i can can say about that is at least it seems Grandma got it in her later years. Some get it in middle age or children even. And she has wonderful family to help. They have found the protein in the blood that causes it and are working on a pill you could take hopefully in the future
I wish I coulda helped with my grandma, my dads mom passed before I was born and my moms mom passed away 2 weeks after I was born, she said she held onto her life just to see me
I am taking care of my parents and my teenage daughter is helping where she can. I also think it teaches her a lot. It's a tough lesson since my parents are both very totally disabled (my father suffers from a severe dementia and my mother is bedridden with ALS), but as a Muslima i firmly believe in the Ayah from the Qur'an "with difficulty comes ease"

I love how he always tells her that shes not old and still young. At the end of the day youre only as young as you feel, and when shes present shes still so lively and full of love. He works so hard to preserve the women he adores so much.
I have to say that normally when they reach the stage grandma is in, they usually let them be. They might do the very basics but don’t pull them out of bed and have them do normal routines. I appreciate that you’re actually taking the time to keep her on a routine and not just letting her wither away. You’re an amazing grandson Chris
she can still hold entire conversations! yeah she’s a little confused, but i’ve had loved ones in much worse states still kicking. every patient is different. but you gotta get them up every now and then or they’ll get bed sores, and my understanding is Lola has one currently, so it’s even more important to get her up from time to time. Not a nurse but i was a family caregiver for about 5 years ❤

I'm a strong believer in caring for our loved ones and even when we were no longer able to care for our grandma and had to put her in the nursing home. We were there often to watch over her. I was raised to help others since I was eight. Now others are trying to care for me even though I keep my independence and live in my own apartment. I'm honorary grandma to many kids in the apartment complex now. We watch you and your family taking care of Grandma. God bless you and your family and thank you for being an inspiration for many others and encouraging us elders that not everyone is crazy and selfish!

Aww healing to all and Cragely ! My husband hurt his back now 2 years and then got worse and we found out that time frame he has more disk out including tail bone . Today spoke a lot into our home . St . Blaze will continue ask for assistance .
I feel that way. I'm only 50 and have some health issues that just hit me this year and I feel so much regret for not doing more up to now. I thought I would have more time before feeling bad, like I thought feeling my age would slowly sneak up on me up it whipped up on me . Every please start exercising and eating like a diabetic. The sooner the better.

Grandma's body may be weak and giving her many problems but her mind is still wonderfully sharp. I don't work at a skilled facility and the 'almost 100 year old residents' that I see are of wealthy families and most definitely do not represent the average 96 year olds at large. I don't know how sharp she is relative to the average 96 year olds, only the ones I am responsible for. I do maintain that relative to the centurions that I work with, her mind is not sharp. I'm not trying to put anyone down, just being realistic.
These always make me tear up. Makes me wish my Great Grandparents were taken care of by my family; sadly I was still a child while they were deteriorating. And I ended up watching my Great Grandma pass away in the hospital bed; most of the family there with her in her final moments. After that my aunt betty moved into pop's house to keep him company and take care of him. I wish Big Mama had gotten the same treatment though, she was such a lovely woman. Thank you so much for treating your elders with so much respect! I love your videos man

I don't work at a skilled facility and the 'almost 100 year old residents' that I see are of wealthy families and most definitely do not represent the average 96 year olds at large. I don't know how sharp she is relative to the average 96 year olds, only the ones I am responsible for. I do maintain that relative to the centurions that I work with, her mind is not sharp. I'm not trying to put anyone down, just being realistic.

These always make me tear up. Makes me wish my Great Grandparents were taken care of by my family; sadly I was still a child while they were deteriorating. And I ended up watching my Great Grandma pass away in the hospital bed; most of the family there with her in her final moments. After that my aunt betty moved into pop's house to keep him company and take care of him. I wish Big Mama had gotten the same treatment though, she was such a lovely woman. Thank you so much for treating your elders with so much respect! I love your videos man

Seeing these family values, the love, the care and time spent helping your grandma in her weak state, brings me to tears. As a paramedic I see elderly people every day neglected and abused and dismissed because Americans just put you in a nursing home. This makes me happy, your grandma I’m sure is eternally grateful for you and your ❤️
