My grandma passed away this year and she needed the same care and my mother was her caregiver just like you. These moments you'll remember forever even when they are not here.
What you are doing Chris is the reason we are here on earth...to help one another...to show gratitude to those who raised us and did for us. You and your family are doing just as you should with Grandma. It's a beautiful thing to watch. Sending you and yours SO MUCH LOVE. Thank you for reminding the world as it should be...no questions asked. This is life. This is the right way to be. This is a great example of the cycle of life in a family and how you are all taking responsibility for the youngest to the eldest.♥️
As a CNA for 34 years, I can tell you, it’s not for sissies! During these years, I also took care of my Grandma for 12 years! Mostly by myself! It can be very hard and stressful at times, but it can also be the most rewarding thing you will ever do! My Grandma took care of me, my sister, and my brother when our Mother passed away at age 31 along with my other sister and brother after our house burned down. She also took care of my Grandfather who had a very bad heart and could no longer work. She worked 2 jobs to support our family. So when she asked me if anything ever happened to her, would I take care of her. I said, of course!!! Well she started having strokes right after she retired from her full time job at the age of 69. She was also bedridden, but I was able to pick her up and get her out of bed at least 3 or more days a week. But knowing all she did for me and the rest of us, it was my honor to help her for her final 12 years. It was the hardest thing I ever did in my life! But I would do it all again!! I was 29, no kids, no husband at that time I started caring for her. But if she hadn’t took us in and provided a life for us, who knows what would have happened to us. We all owed her our lives! It’s a damn shame that my siblings didn’t see it that way! I’m grateful that you are sharing your experience so that more people can see what it’s like caring for your loved ones! I only wish I would have did this with my Grandma so I could have all the wonderful memories recorded because I miss her every day! I’m 53 now and working in a nursing home. It may not be my Grandma, but I’m still caring for someone’s Grandma!! ❤❤❤ My thoughts and prayers for you and your Grandma and family! God Bless you all!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
What a life your Grandma had! And you're carrying on with a life of Service to others. 🙏✝️🙏 I hope you, and other caregivers write about your experiences: the good, the bad, and the sad. Your Grandma's life and your dedication to her needs to be written for many reasons. * As a testament to your Grandma's devotion to Family. * Because your thoughts about your experiences will give us a "blueprint for caring" : a pattern to follow so people will have a realistic idea of what it takes to care for aging family members. * Because I would love to read it -- I think others would, too. * As a "Forever" documentation of the inner strength you have proven by your lifetime of service. * Last, but very important: I have never heard or seen a contemporary book about two generations of women that achieved so much for their Family. At this time, in the 21st Century, we need to read your story. I pray you give some serious thought to my suggestion. In my opinion, your story deserves to be read because you embody values that many people think are gone today. God bless you always! Big respect from California. 🌺
As an aging great grandmother, I appreciate the work you do for & your dedication to providing care for your grandma. Moreover, Chris, I appreciate you living a full life with your blessed family, music & entrepreneurship. You bring great honor to your grandma, and great joy to many of us with your sharing.
Let's give a moment and a shout out to all those caregivers who care for mean, hateful old people. ❤ Grandma is so sweet, while it would be work to care for her, she's so appreciative and full of love and concern for her family.
They're mean and hateful cus they're scared, confused and often in pain. As care givers we can only hope to make some kind of positive difference in their lives
@@ScarletBloodDoll This is what I'm talking about. Sending you a giant hug. Remember to take care of yourself. Fill your well. Buy the good chocolate, the good wine. My heart is with you.
All those words of affirmation and all the face to face time and her faith of course is what is keeping her strong. She is so smart and you get the best grandson award in my book.🎉
My Grandmother passed away last year on my uncle's birthday. Our family buried her on my birthday. She was 102 years old. My uncle was her primary caregiver until her last two years of life because she had a stroke and needed the extra help of full-time nursing care. This is a special time for your family. It doesn't get much better than being there for an elderly or disabled family member. Thank you for taking your audience with you. Prayers and gratitude. ❤❤❤
Thank you. I am sole caregiver for my 96 almost 97 yr. old Mom. Mom's mobility is severely limited and consist of wheelchair and transfers with my help. She is declining rapidly, but we keep active and engaged during her waking hours. She has osteoarthritis, is legally blind, next to deaf, and has no use of her left arm. She is only able to drink liquids and the immersion blender is wonderful and I blend up absolutely everything and add either milk or broth to whatever I blend. Also, I got several small 2 handle soup bowls and she can handle them pretty well, and then she doesn't have to try to use a spoon. I also got a bunch of 'sippy cups' and cut the tops short so that the liquid flows easily. These work great for juice/electrolytes/nutrition drink. She cannot use a straw and has trouble swallowing. Another great find was Cooluli small coolers. I have 2 next to her chair in the kitchen and she can pull out the sippy cups and also small bowls with applesauce and yogurt. It is a lot of work to care for someone and it is much more demanding than caring for yourself! I am glad that you have some support and can take a day off. I have no help except for my husband on Sundays. There is no family or friends to help. It is good to keep your sense of humor and having some ice cream to take the edge off. I don't know how it will play out for Mom, but I will try my best to keep her happy and comfortable as long as I can. A shout out to all caregivers and please, have some ice cream :)
Please contact your mother's insurance company and ask about coverage for in-home care. Sometimes, just having help with showering the patient and changing the bed can bring a moment's rest. By the way, this should not be your mother's decision. If you go down, who will help her then?
And when we realize that what we see online is just a dot portion of what he does for his grandma every single day. 🥺😍 So let us not dare to judge him in any way.
I love how she'll ask if you're related to the people on price is right and you'll sometimes say yes😂 My grandmother loved watching a Swedish quiz show, sometimes I'd get an answer right and she'd do this thing where she nodded and blinked at the same time

God bless you and your beautiful grandmother. My mother and I received our “hello grandma” pin and she wears with pride. Thank you for sharing your love and appreciation for your grandmother
I watched my mother do these things for my grandmother. Sadly my grandmother's stroke left her not knowing who we were. It was tough, but watching my mom, makes me want to do it for her when it's time. Thank you for sharing.

I can’t say how much I enjoy your videos sharing life with Grandma. My aunt lived to 94 & was in a Catholic nursing home in New Orleans while I live 6-8 hours away. Thank you for being such a warm and loving care provider i.e. grandson. You are amazing. I took care of both of my parents for 14 1/2 years start to finish round the clock every single day, and I loved every minute of it. The bond that you have becomes stronger and unbreakable when you become the care provider. There’s something about it that makes you appreciate life 1000% more. God bless you and God bless grandma. God bless your whole entire family. May you have a blessed day.❤🙏✝️🇺🇸❤️❌⭕️🙏✝️
Chris you are always reinventing yourself and trying to keep things fresh even though the routine must be tedious. I admire this and I have some ideas in case you would like to brainstorm. I’m a patient advocate and creative, and this is strictly volunteer on my part. We need you speaking at events for caregiving in CA! The world needs more of your philosophy in care.
"O,sige.".....ang cute ni grandma. Her voice has been familiar to me...until forever. Chris,I wish you could make more music with grandma's voice on it. Tanks!😊
I always wait for new posts from you. Its like a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day. Continue being an inspiration to others and God bless you and your sweet grandma.
It is heartwarming to know that you are responsible for a longer life for grandma since she has people like you around her. So sad to think many of the grandparents of today are not given the same TLC.
My grandma passed away this year and she needed the same care and my mother was her caregiver just like you. These moments you'll remember forever even when they are not here.

May you have a blessed day.❤🙏✝️🇺🇸❤️❌⭕️🙏✝️
Thank you for sharing what you & your family is doing everyday for grandma. God bless you! Salamat! Hug grandma for us 🫶🫰💗
Chris you are always reinventing yourself and trying to keep things fresh even though the routine must be tedious. I admire this and I have some ideas in case you would like to brainstorm.
I’m a patient advocate and creative, and this is strictly volunteer on my part.
We need you speaking at events for caregiving in CA! The world needs more of your philosophy in care.
Bless you and hope she never suffers and stay healthy as long as God want

Ohhh my. I would rather die. Really. Too much of a burden!! They have lives too. You are a good kid! Bless u.
It is heartwarming to know that you are responsible for a longer life for grandma since she has people like you around her. So sad to think many of the grandparents of today are not given the same TLC.
