- This is my first video in quite a while, but Fontaine's got my brain moving again so I have quite a few things in store.
This one's a bit meandering, but the lore we've been given in Fontaine is so rich I couldn't help but just go a little wild. Next up, I'll be covering the Golden Troupe artifact set, and have not one, but two audio books from the new region planned!

Awesome insight as usual, the fact that you read and absorb so much of genshin's lore means your theories are always well rounded. In the 4.1 quest there is a direct link now with mention of "imagination" with reference to honkai's elements. This also means that dainsleif and the abyss sibling will almost certainly be wielding "quantum" although it may well have a different name in genshin.
@@Necrochaosium we already know the names, It's Ousia and Pneuma.
@@iosis9324 though linked I dont think those are exactly the same thing, ousia and pneuma seem like a watered down version of the quantum and imaginary energies.
@@NecrochaosiumWell, yes, it's not pure Ousia and Pneuma, but this is the name for Quantum and Imaginary in the genshin.
I'm still incredibly suspicious of the color choice of Primordial Waters being Pink, Purple, Blue, and White. Now I have no personal experience with other Hoyogames, but I've done some cursory research. When you brought up the concepts from the other games in the Honkai Universe, I was reminded of the description for Primogems. "A primordial crystalline gem that's beyond the mundane world. Shines with the condensed hopes and dreams of universes that once were." This reminds me of the notion behind Bubble Worlds and the Sea of Quanta. Curiously, the Oneiric Shards from Star Rail (their Genesis Crystal equivalent) ALSO shares that pinkish purple, blue and white coloration. I'm very eager to get more info on the Primordial Sea and if the Fontanian prophecy is just a prelude to a greater Doomsday for all of Teyvat.
Pretty sure that the reason why Canotila saw Rene's Apocalypse as a blooming garden is exactly because her perception of The Abyss comes from her father, Elynas. The way he saw The Cataclysm and the invasion of The Abyss into Teyvat was something joyful to him and the rest of the beasts around him, but when he realized that what made him happy actually hurt everything else around him, he decided to give himself up and die. Melusines come directly from him and their perception is no different. Though they live among humans, they originate from The Abyss.

You can also see the upside down fountain from the upside down ruins in the underground chasm in the book of revealings world. There's a window right next to where you teleport in and there's the same statues and everything. People tried telling me Hoyo was just reusing architecture but I've noticed that there's slightly different motifs on the pillars in Enkanomiya, The Chasm, and Sumeru. So I don't think it was just reused architecture. People can pry that from my cold dead hands.
You just blew my mind when you pointed out the fountain in the "reflection". I stared right at it and just didn't realize the significance ☠ My head is spinning wondering what other connections I'm missing cuz I'm just forgetful 😭☠

Do you think Remus was a descender? I think all the 'golden' symbolism hints that he had the same kind of powers like the twin Travelers.
Also, what do you think of Genshin LoreBytes' theory about Remus transforming people, giving them an affinity with Primordial Water. After all, the Narzissenkreuz Ordo's plans to dissolve people and merge consciousness is based on the findings of ancient Remurians. Could this be the Original Sin that haunts the people of Fontaine, the fact that their genome has been artificially changed?

Now this reminded me, how interfering with human evolution and tampering with life and death are the first two cardinal sins in Sumeru's Akademiya. While as far as I remember the other regions so far do not have such an explicit list of decrees or sins, it seems that overall the ambition or act of transcendence beyond what has been set by Celestia is the biggest sin and the most likely reason for all the destroyed civilizations.
Idk why but when I heard "dissolving people & gather them in a single entity" reminds me of Adam Ruhani from Honkai Impact.
Same premise,all humans turned into some sort of data & merge into 1 being.just my 2 cents.

While the PO's side certainly wins the war, it's not clear if the PO is in charge after the war. Mostly this comes from the Traveler's lines about the "Keeper" vs the "Creator". But there's also hints from the various kind of dumb things Celestia gets up to after the war. As for Enkanomiya if the seal had been layed down by a Shade wouldn't that power be easily confused with a seal by the PO itself? The Unknown god has Shade vibes and appears to have been wounded, possibly corrupted in part. Finally the whole PO --> Shade narrative echoes the Gnosticism idea of the Aeon vs the demiurge created by the Aeon, with the demiurge being the one who creates the Archons (who were created after the fight with 2nd throne). There's other suggestions but those are the main ones.
Keeper is the unknown god (Asmoday, one of the four shades, god of space) sustaining the Heavenly Principles while the Creator (Phanes) is "away."

FYI the "eu" in "Kreuz" for Narzissenkreuz und Rosenkreuz is pronounced like the "oy" in boy. And the "z" at the end is a hard one, more akin to "tz". So "Kreuz" would be correctly pronounced as Kroytz.

Im personally curious about the seeming obsession with spirals that genshin has, every region has at least one major spiral so it makes me curious. It vaguely reminds me of the concept images of black holes

I wonder if the traveler being seen as a world devouring monster has anything to do with Neuvillette's final ascension saying about reclaiming one fo the Seven Authorities from the hands of the usurpers.

No the thing about being a world devouring monster is simpler to explain as literally true.
"world devouring monster" mean the opposite: "world saving hero". Have you not finished the world quest?
Monsters of the Abyss such as Elinas see the world differently, for them "destruction", "death", "chaos" and etc. means "creation", "gifts", "confetti" etc, and other things that are good for us for them look scary, disgusting, evil, and so on.
I had a theory regarding tjr preparation made by Furina on the primordial sea disaster.
What if the Indemnitium collected all this time is a means for Neuv to achieve his full dragonhood?
She must've use her gnosis as some sort of container for that energy.
Maybe she came to realized,Neuvi is the only key for the Fontainian survival.

"The keeper is fading away; the creator has not yet come.
But the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend."
This reminds me of trimurti: Brahma - Creator, Vishnu - Preserver and Shiva - Destroyer. In case of Genshin most likely Brahma and Vishnu are Primordial one and Sustainer of Heavenly Principles (in CN for keeper and sustainer the same characters are used), while Shiva, The Destroyer is Traveler. Here important to understand that though Shiva represents the destruction, and consequently the end of Hindu cosmogonic cycle. But the destruction he unleashes is not born out of malice or anger. Rather, it is a necessary precondition to a new beginning.

In any case, I don't want to argue with you, I just said that the phrase about the monster is how the Abyss sees the Traveler with their wrong vision, which shows everything the other way around, and this information is from world quest.

Kinda curious why you didn't mention Caterpillar and his relationship with the Ordo at all. At first i thought it was because you hadn't played the 4.1 world quests yet but then you mentioned Villains and threw me off. Is there an upcoming video on the subject or am I missing something?
he might have forgotten to mention that Carl is still alive or he forgot to return to the ordo after the meropide main line quest.
The real reason is that when I was making my initial edits, I ended up with so much-- and I don't really like to run over an hour per video, soooo... there will probably be a follow up when we get a little bit more in 4.2 ;)

I think Paimon, the little rainbow balloon with a string tying her to beyond the heavens, is akin to a lure on a fishing line and the Traveler is the world eating leviathan that someone, maybe Celestia? maybe the Abyss, if that's truly what's beyond the firmament? is trying to catch....
Why do you all take it literally? We literally learned from the same quest later, that what the creatures associated with the Abyss see, is different from reality, for them the world is the opposite, if there is a real monster in front of them, then they will see it as a cute puppy, but if there is a hero in front of them, then they will see him as a monster.
"Monster that devouring the whole world" is "Hero that save the whole world". "Rainbow balloon tied to the higher than sky" is "Balloon of darkness tied to the below than abyss"
Kokomi also teased childs whale in her trailer, and nahida's gamespot demo leaked a lot of fontaine, including a massive turtle marching through the desert. i think the turtle could be elynas? marched out of the sumeru hole to go for a swim in fontaine

Highly recommend to not use background music with vocals that sing lyrics, it becomes very distracting. Specifically talking about the vocals that start at 22:53. Otherwise, love the video, you have made a lot of interesting points!
I don’t know why it took 10 days for me to get a notification that you were back. 😢 anyhow I used to think that the Traveler was related to the Primodial one somehow, but now I’m seriously wondering if the twins are related to the dragons and the dragon king, after this quest and the fact that the travelers hydro powers closely resemble the Hydro Dragons powers and not the Hydro Archon. It would also explain why the melusine sees us as world devoring monster and why Elynas was so interested in us. Maybe that battle pass scene with the search for genesis Pearl was the dragon king sending the twins on a journey to find the genesis Pearl to fight back against the Primordial One, and after traveling many worlds, when they returned to Teyvat they were immediately stopped by the Sustainer and had their powers sealed. Khanriah and Gold figure out how to summon Lumine, but not Aether, thus Gold creates a alchemical copy of Aether, Albedo, who has a dragon brother, to replace Aether. I think the catalysm wasn’t caused by Khanriah messing the abyss, but them unsealing Lumine. Anyhoe that’s just my tin foil theory.
