What Difference Does it Make

- Sure! Go ahead. Make your kayak look fancy. Or better yet, spend a lot of money on one that is rigged up, right from the factory. See if I care. Or better yet, take it out and see if you catch more fish because it's got that bling. In my experience, there is WAY too much emphasis these days on appearances. I can tell you for sure that both kayaks you see in this video are pretty awesome. But there aint NO substitute for time on the water.
Perhaps the real benefit to a posh, fashionable, expensive, luxurious, elegant paddle-craft is the fact that if it makes you happy and comfortable, then you will probably spend more time on the water. And THAT really is the key to success (so they say) I for one, have spent LOTS of time on the water and still, I have days that are rough. When the fish just don't cooperate. And yeah. I guess having a soft, carpety (is that a word) Getaway or a giant, tank-like Recon with a seat like a lazy-boy, is best when it is under your butt for hours and hours. So, I encourage everyone to get these kind of kayaks because they have some very good features which could get you to spend more time paddling. But if you just leave it on the side of the house or in the garage, then you're never gonna have an epic day. And even if occasionally you don't have an epic day, if you do better then your friend, you can remind him constantly about that day you caught a fish and he didn't!

Love to hear your fishing buddies hassling you about your feet. Little do they know, being barefoot as much as you do actually strengthens your feet a lot & toughens them up!
❤ it.
Super glue n I just end up stuck, so it might be good for some on the kayak. Your OCD n your mods are always great, maybe it's what makes you so successful, looking forward to seeing more of your adventures
Good to see you back to Kayak videos....Thanks for sharing!!!
Great video Marty. Yes its all about the gear. the manatees following was AWESOME. Keep up the great content.
Best channel on YT. Thanks.
The Grandpa pottymouth is hillarious
I can’t believe you still make videos I remember watching you like 7 years ago
Great video Marty
Really good to see you at Icast today. Good luck with your land search and here's to hoping our paths cross one day in Maine!
Praying 👌🏾⚖🙏🏾👍🏾❗
I heard that superglue was developed for alternative to sutures in the field for medical industry. There is really no harm in using it to rectify a wound. Only disadvantage is if wound has to be re-opened... depending on brand of superglue it gets stubborn dissolving and peeling it off a wound is going to make you see stars. At that point I would probably use goo off and then treat wound with other things.
Cyanoacrylate adhesives were specifically invented as an alternative to sutures for smaller wounds. I was told CA glues were first used during the Vietnam war because they were running low on sutures. I use it all the time. Stitches=expensive
Super glue=inexpensive
ALSO, CA glue keeps the wound clean and airtight which speeds healing. Stings like a mother though so put your purse down.
Great video Marty. 👍🐟🐟🐟🐟
I'm strucking on deciding what kayak to buy. Here in Finland there are not many options and a 400 dollar Kayak is a 1k Kayak here so sadly abit out of my budjet. I love these kayak fishing videos from you.
Marty you alway make good wideo, Keep up the good work!
Good I'd like to see more or more often
Hey Marty, The seacow tailgater was funny.
Keep doing you Marty. I sold my 10' yak last year, and have been feeling the itch to get another. Pelican really needs to put a 12' version of the getaway out. 300lb capacity is just not enough when I come in around 260. Add a pair of rods, a crate and some tackle and we're sitting right at that weight limit.
I've used super glue on cuts for years. It's pretty much the same as the surgical glue they use in hospitals. Surgical glue is a little more complex, so it cures slower & degrades slower & it's slightly flexible so it has a little better antimicrobial factors. It's also expensive, so if you're just using it for is topical wounds, then it's perfectly fine to use regular superglue.
I love it any way it's a great kayak
Thanks
I literally super glued the tip of my finger back on.
Nice seeing you again Marty! Any Sheepshead trips coming up? I have found that there is not a fisherman in the world that can resist "rubbing it in" when fishing with good friends. With a bit of humility of course. 😜
How far you be able to go out like ocean and the waves before it gets too rough!! Mr. Marty?
We need a catch clean and cook Marty
Nice update Marty - good to see you looking well! I've heard about using Superglue for Cuts but never tried it - quite often, if I do injure myself, it requires a bit more than Superglue to fix it! Stay safe & well. 🎣🎣👍👍
I love superglue as a quick bandage. Unfortunately my accident and emergency department are not so keen as they then have to remove it to assess an injury. Not so convinient. Still good, when out kayaking.
Man, I'm going to have to get me some super glue. Not only for the kayak, but for the kitchen!
lol - that shark was a trip
He is your good luck charm❤❤
Evenin amigo 👋😎👍
You sure do seem to enjoy life Marty.
Hey there my friend I'm here in Florida with some friends and was thinking of coming by one day. My buddy hasn't ever been on a yak and is scared cause he can't swim , anyway let me know what would be a good day
Put that Bud Light down!!!!😂
Exactly!
Lmfao😂😂
Yup...Super glue works great and I keep a first aid kit on my Solo Skiff.
Good evening Marty I am Steve from over in Pompano Beach Florida I was looking for an old video of yours the one where you went kayaking with an old female friend who helped you get into kayaking which I think she has her own kayaking rental place somewhere in the state of Florida I was looking for that and her name.. Reasoning for is because I just took possession of 3 kayaks 1 of them being a Pelican and the others are some unknown name but they're all in decent shape and some friends and I were thinking of going kayaking on one of thcreeks or canals that you all went kayaking on and I was hoping that she could hook us up with some kind of tour... So if you could please share that video again if you still have it or send me her information thank you Marty and keep up making all the cool videos..
I love buying quality cheap items and then outfitting them like their brand name pricier competitors. There’s a sense of satisfaction when other people see what you did from their expensive over priced set ups, lol
I got dat bling and it don't mean a thing. They don't call it catchin' for a reason!
I would avoid super glue on lures and cuts. Especially the cuts/scrapes you get from normal day fishing. I like to keep off any sent, including human sent from any lure to increase the chance of hits. If you decide to use it, just put few drops of fish attractant on it.
I take the liquid bandage with me and the super glue 🧐
Ifin your on the water, have a bait in the water, some of my biggest fish were caught by trolling, glad to hear from you, I’m wishing I was fishing.
Why are you still drinking it ?
This peddle model isnt much more than the catch mode 110 (up here) This is pretty intriuging
IVE BEEN SAYING THIS ONE FOR A LONG TIME.
*Hydrofoil jet powered kayak*
or at least the coleman outboard, on a hydro foil kayak. the jet powered kayak would have worked if it had a hydrofoil. too much drag having the entire hull in the water.
Do you ever use pop rivets on your kayaks ?
The more comfortable you are the more time you’re spending on the water and the more time your on the water statistically you’re catching more fish!
What seat is that?
Zoffinger, I'd like to know a couple things. Do you put as much thought into your pole, reel, and lures as you do your upgrades on your kayak? Also, What material do you use for carpet> Is that ordinary Gym Mats. And last, what do you use to bond it to the kayak? I'd like to say thanks for your videos. They are informative, thorough, and interesting.
He addressed some of these questions in other videos. He cleaned the surface with 100% acetone (nail polish remover is the same thing) and then he used 3M Super 90 spray adhesive to glue yoga mat materials to the deck for padding. The mat by itself did not hold up to wear and tear so it got carpet put on over padding the next time around. You could use indoor/outdoor carpet for that.
don't drink and paddle you might run into a manate.😂😂😂😂
super glue was invented for open heart surgery, or so I've been told quite a few times.
Boy pelican must have been after your but hahahaha
Was hoping for a 8-900 price range or less I'm kinda let down it's 1200 which is the price of a really good hobie in fact I've bought 4 used hobbies for around the same price 2-PA 1 outback and one 2 seater
Truthfully that's a 2-300 dollar yak without drive and 400 for drive so 6-700 should be price point
Nah only a great spot catches more fish
bud light Zoff? Now I know you're living in the boonies. Next time try a nice cold Heineken
Hey Marty, get rid of the Bud Lite! Don't you watch the news?
Was that a Bud Light??? Uh-oh........
Yep, you can get it at a decent discount now at the local grocery store. Great for us who drink for the effect!
First
And?
What did you win?
bud lite OH NO🤡🤡
I hope your boycotting BudLight like the rest of us. They push trans groomers. Screw that.
Well, I really don't drink any factory beer myself so don't care but seems to me the only thing you are really hurting is a bunch of folks like yourself who work in said factory as well as distribution but on the bright side former bud light drinkers might actually be forced to drink a real beer though most likely will just start drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon (since it is owned by Russia like most of their political heros).
@@bfd194 Russia is cool - not pushing gay agenda like Woke NATO is. We should be friends with them.
@@bfd194 Imagine a Reagan era republican saying "Russia is cool". Just shows how much that party has changed, and sad it decided to put on clown makeup and follow the orange man.
He can make his own choice who to support and what to drink, I don’t agree with it but don’t voice my hatred or beliefs on someone
I still drink Bud Light. I will not allow a bunch of haters to determine what I drink.
