    Phillip K Dick Sci Fi Audiobook Full Length
    Today on The Lost Sci-Fi Podcast… The second of two back-to-back episodes written by Philip K. Dick. The hardest part of the "preordained" thesis to grasp is that the thesis itself is part of what must and shall be. Will time travel cause the end of the human race? Or will it allow them to fix the future? Meddler, that’s next on The Lost Sci-Fi Podcast, with at least one lost vintage sci-fi short story in every episode.
    Meddler is one of 16 short stories in an audiobook collection we’ve narrated from legendary author Philip K. Dick. The 16 stories appeared in science fiction magazines from 1952 to 1955. The Philip K. Dick Collection is on sale now on many audiobook websites, but you can get this more than 10-hour audiobook for only $7.97 when you use the promo code, sale, that’s, sale, lowercase letters only on lostscifi.com.
    Meddler was first published in Future Science Fiction magazine in October 1954.
    Next week on The Lost Sci-Fi Podcast… As a galactic reporter Jane Crowley knew she had hold of the biggest story of the year; thousands of people were soon to die on this-Planet Of Doom
    Planet Of Doom by C. H. Thames, next week on The Lost Sci-Fi Podcast, with at least one lost vintage sci-fi short story in every episode.

    PKD a genius for sure. and he was writing at two cents a word? So much quality material. With Dick when you get hooked you have a hundred stories to read. Perfect little pitches for movies, how many ? five. And short stories so well done hey fill out a movie. Id like to see an animation of the several "Perky Pat" stories. His humor is everywhere. A treasure for SF nuts like me.

    The protagonists' name being Hasten, super subtle Dickster. Also if the timecar has to be a Delorean or this whole story is broken.

      Philip K. Dick was a very clever man, so sad that his time was so short. What could've been? Thanks for listening!!

    Its a great story, loved it. The ending isn't satisfactory for me but the rest of it is perfect
    No quarantine period?
    PKD was churning out fantastic stories so we can forgive little things like that
    One of my favourite authors along with Mr Slaughterhouse 5, Kurt Vonnegut ✌️😍

      Thanks for your comment! I didn't even think about the fact that there wasn't a quarantine period. Glad you liked Meddler. Funny that you would mention Kurt Vonnegut because I am narrating one of his stories as soon as I finish this comment. How's that for weird coincidence? And we will include that story in a podcast in the future. Thanks for listening and I hope you subscribe to our channel if you haven't already.

      Glad you liked it!! Yes, that is how Merriam-Webster says it's pronounced www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bibliotheca did I mess it up?

    • @positivecynik
      @positivecynik Před 7 měsíci +1

      @VintageSciFiAudiobooks I have always heard "BIB-lee-oh-TEK" (bibliotheque) for libraries, but I could have just never heard that pronunciation, or it may have been a different word altogether. Great story, mate! It's a nitpick if its even valid :)

    • @VintageSciFiAudiobooks
      @VintageSciFiAudiobooks  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks for your comment. I always have www.merriam-webster.com open when I am in the booth and check on pronunciation even when I am pretty sure I know how to pronounce a word. I am certainly not flawless but I work really hard to make everything as perfect as can be! I have always heard "BIB-lee-oh-TEK" as well but I always go with MW and I am glad I did. So glad you enjoyed the story and enjoy our channel.

      @VintageSciFiAudiobooks is all gravy man. I'm actually an audio engineer that records audio books with pdfs open too so it's like in afflicted too lol. I see that we were actually talking about 2 different words. I've never seen the word "bibliotheca" in print, and I erred in believing you were reading "bibliotheque". I misunderstood what was being said, however, I learned a new word! Thanks for uploading, I look forward to listening to more amigo.

      @positivecynik this is exactly why I value you and our other listeners so much. An open dialogue creates an opportunity to learn and at this stage of my life I enjoy learning as much as I ever have, if not more. So, in your role as an audio engineer what kind of projects do you work on?
