Thanks for the story! i wonder how people would read this seventy years ago. Also this story is very different from the later work of Philip K. Dick. Amazing!
Aah, my Sunday morning is now in full swing. Put the dogs out and fed them, put some washing on, tidied up a (very) little, and now I have my Killer Coffee Company, 'Darker Side' cuppa, and have some Philip K Dick, narrated by one of the best in the business (the best) to listen to as I enjoy the morning (it's 08:27 Sunday morning here...I'm nearly 30 minutes late).
You know Brad you can listen to them whenever you want. We're thankful for you and we know you'll listen as close to "release" time as you possibly can. We finally made it to Sunday morning here in Costa Rica.

No doubt. It's kinda creepy to narrate his work sometimes. At the same time I recognize that his writing took place in a different time. But you are right, he wrote a lot of lustful lines.
This is a classic case of 'No means No'. Very clever.
It is an excellent story.
Any well read Human knows the stories of mixing up with the Gods and it does not end well for the humans - - Circe had a enjoyable night - - LOL

The attempted rape scene was disturbing
Philip K. Dick pushed the envelope as far as he could, and when you consider that this story was written almost 70 years ago I would think it would have been quite shocking then.
