Ooh... the Dottie and White Star are common in the Philippines. Small ones go for around 4-6$ retail (twice as big as yours) and cheaper for smaller sizes.
Hi, Jake. 😀 Yes, I see a lot of them for sale overseas! It seems like they are making their way over here this year though, which is great! Still a bit pricey but I just love these plants.

You found a white star being sold in the U.S.😯💕. I looked for this plant for a year and it was only sold in the UK. You are so lucky and the plant looks beautiful, now I need to see if I can find one.
Hi, April! I did! :) I couldn't believe that I not only found it but from an Etsy seller who I've bought from before. I do feel incredibly lucky! The seller may receive more before their season is over.

Hey Abby!! I am looking into getting a Calathea Whitestar. I have Maranta plants at the moment and I think I have them mastered. How is yours doing for you? Any specific care tips? They are just so beautiful! It is by far one of my wishlist plants!🖤
Hi! For Whitestars, and Ornatas, I keep an eye on humidity. Mine is doing pretty well though the winters here can be dry, so humidity is something I have to watch out for, especially if the heater gets used. Luckily, we've also had a good amount of wet days so it definitely could be worse. I also use distilled water and make sure they get enough light. Mine have been very sensitive to synthetic fertilizers and switching to worm castings seems to have fixed that-- this is what comes to mind! Good luck on getting your new Whitestar-- let me know how it goes! :)
Addy Beez Thank you for the tips! Never tried worm castings. In the past I’ve only used espoma liquid fertilizer which I hear is just as nice but I’d love to try the worm castings anyway!!🖤🖤🖤
