I held that 360 in my arms as it died right then and there. I’ve never spoken about that moment until now...not even to my wife.
My disc tray wouldn’t open, so my friends older brother said you have to slap the top of it. And it worked everytime, until, I slapped it too hard one day. And got the red ring of death. I stuck the inserts of pens in the fans and overheated it lol it worked every time. I had to do it every couple months, I use to play for 8 hours a day.
I also have the same problem my red light just appers and Xbox shuts down but it still works if I open it after some time.pls tell me the solution of this problem.
This is normally caused by the solder points at the base of the APU separating from the PCB for anyone curious. Sometimes a heat gun can resolve this issue, but usually requires a complete solder ball replacement which is a very tedious task.
Its red ringed to start just over heat it with all the components out then start cleaning the old thermal paste and apply new high grade paste to the heatsink.
One time I had the red ring of death, instantly unplugged my Xbox and waited a few minutes and even my buddies were worried for me, it was a birthday party. It still works to this day, I'll never understand
@@randomthingdoer3879 well there are multiple reasons for the Xbox red ring of death, some of them are overheating issues and others corrupted hardware and some mechanical issues mine had a problem with over heating so when it got too hot and red ringed I threw it into the freezer and cooled it off and then moved it to a more spacious area so it could breathe
The Es were prone to bad resistors which made the console instantly overheat. Best to rip it apart, test the resistors. If they read 0 - bridge them. This fixes the issue.
I remember the RROD on the original 360. I remember stopping the fans to overheat it and get it working again, as well as using a button combo with the eject and controller sync to get the exact error code of the RROD as well. It wasn't always the "overheating" issue
Many people would be surprised and angry if they knew how easy it was to fix the red ring of death on 360. Maybe cause you have the airvent blocked off by the older 360.
