    At $750, The Flux S is the cheapest direct drive smart trainer with good accuracy and quick to respond to changes. Let me know if you have any question. Thanks for watching!

      SMART Bike Trainers does it come with the front wheel block?

      No it doesn’t. You will need to get your own.

      i believe this trainer is lower than neo. no need for the front wheel block am i right?

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Před 5 lety +1

      Technically you don’t. It sits about 34cm from the floor so similar to a road wheel. I tend to prefer a front block to add stability but you really don’t with this trainer.

    Now, 3 years later, I’m seeing this trainer on sale for around $500.00. I’m thinking about getting it at that price. Based on this review, that sounds like a really good option.

      +Jenina Wielrenster Yes. These sensors connect directly to Zwift. Have nothing to do with the trainer.

    Hi, is this a good trainer for someone who is new at cycling & is looking to train in the winter? I know it’s the cheapest direct trainer, and the watts and incline are lower that others. I am a runner trying to get into cycling and this trainer caught my eye.

    Thank you for the review, I was considering this one, the wahoo kickr core or spending the money for a wahoo kickr 2018. What would be your recommendation ?

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Před 5 lety +1

      The KICKR Core is a very good option at that price. That would be my pick. Hard to justify the price for the 2018 kickr. But if you are welling to spend over $1,000, then I would consider the NEO 1 or 2.

      @@SmartBikeTrainers Thank you so much, I am looking into the Tacx now. It's my first indoor trainer I want to get the most out of the zwift experience.

    Remember for Shimano 10spd you need two spacers...

      And 11 speeds disc installed on the trainer,,, do you think changing gear will be ok ??

      @@taibahcol4nurses350 I know that you can swap between 10 to 11spd without problems but the spacer thing could be problematic.... Don't know if you need to remove 1 spacer to switch between 10 to 11 spd. I have switch 11-25 to 11-28 with no problems....

    Great review, thank you! My question is how the “road feel” is with this trainer. I have a Tacx Vortex Smart, which has a pretty small flywheel. I find it much harder to do intervals and hold power using that trainer compared to what I am able to do outdoors because there’s so little momentum with the tiny flywheel. Do you feel like this helps you turn the pedals over and keep your momentum like on the road?

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Před 5 lety

      The Flux has a decent road feel. Not as good as other higher end trainers like the Tacx Neo for example but much better than the Vortex. For someone coming from a Vortex, the flywheel will feel better.

    • @matthewavignonpetersen5893
      @matthewavignonpetersen5893 Před 5 lety +1

      @@SmartBikeTrainers Thank you for the quick response. In your experience, is it normal for the same wattage to feel harder when you go from outdoor riding to an indoor trainer without a good flywheel? When I went from outdoor riding this summer to indoor riding, it seems so much harder to hold my FTP, it just feels like I can't get on top of the gear and get that momentum. I'm considering replacing the Vortex with something higher end, but wanted to see if you think a bigger flywheel would help with that.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Před 5 lety +1

      Generally yes, indoor riding will feel harder regardless of trainer. There are a lot of factors that plays into it and inertia from the flywheel is one of them. A higher end trainer will get you closer but at the end of the day, the more you ride indoor, the better you will get at it and your outdoor and indoor watts will almost match.

    • @SmartBikeTrainers
      @SmartBikeTrainers  Před 3 lety +1

      I would avoid it if you have other options. Not sure what other options you have available in your area but the Elite Suito and Kickr Core are all good alternatives.

      @@SmartBikeTrainers Am interested with the kicker core but the only issues am facing is that their are no shops I found in my country that sell the kicker core! And also am not interested to buy it online due to unusual or potentially have issues in long terms and for that cost it's too much to handle the price, if the unusual happen!.
