You are so sweet to help out expecting parents. Our daughter had a baby last November and she came a week early! They thought they were ready. My husband and I went back to help out. I stayed through Christmas. They got on track and realized that they were great parents.
Ooh I really liked the look of the dark table top with the natural colored legs before you stained them, though it turned out pretty. Both ways are nice.😊

Always clean before sanding cabinets. Then wipe down with alcohol to get rid of sanding dust. Great job! I love revere pewter on cabinets!!!
She always does and says to do that when she's building something, they probably didn't include that part.
Everything looks in shambles, but like Dean said, "it looks worse before it will look better (amazing more like it)". Rever Pewter is one of my favorite colors, it is like a warm hug. I look forward to your weekly vlogs, but the outtakes are my favorite part. It just shows how much you guys are great team and work well together, laughing the whole way.

You said it was hard to tell in the video that the color of the cabinets was different but in one clip you hadn't completely covered the intire cabinet with paint and I could see the new color . Looks great you do great work.

Nice work on the custom table. The color selection for the cabinets is beautiful. I love your ambition and attention to details. BUT: You painted around the outlet plates and light switches rather than removing them. Sanding cabinets and especially the tops of the drawers with contents still inside the cabinets so the grit can fall into the drawer and you have to take everything out anyway to clean the drawers anyway. I realize you were up against a time deadline, but both of those are NOs.

Revere Pewter my favorite
Unlike many other DIY folks, I love your style, so similar to my own. But may I give you a suggestion to buy the yellow plastic pour things to put on the rim of your paint cans before you pour out your paint. It saves the can from having paint puddle in those ridges...you'll love it! -Sharon
I painted all of my kitchen cabinets all by myself as well buy i used All in One paint and they also have a degreaser product you use to clean the surfaces before painting and you don't have to prime. I painted them about 2 years and they still look great.

I used Beyond paint with built in primer and top coat. My cabinets are beautifful, they were golden oak (yuck). Which paint tape do you use? I've tried several and they come unstuck or I get bleed through under the tape line.

Ha thanks so much! Yes definitely prime, but no you don’t need to remove the stain! You’ll want a good again blocking bonding primer, zinsser shellac is a good one for that!

How many coats of printer did you use?
Krud kutter is a great cleaner but PLEASE BE CAREFUL TO QUICKLY REMOVE EVERY BIT OF IT.
IT WILL CAUSE PAINT TO PEEL IF YOU DONT.
IT DID A GREAT JOB ON MY VENT FAN . IT REMOVED ALL PAINT DOWN TO THE METAL!!
