My grandma had that exact same rocking chair (in Italy!!) It was her chair, she would sit on it and knit every night. And my sister and I would swing on it all the time, it's frankly a miracle it survived this long.

I had to read other comments first to see how others answered things to see how far off I was in my thinking. Well, I wasn't off at all. Andrea plays beautifully and I could see how her lessons paid off. I took piano for 12 years. Then there is Dean who is just a natural and so wonderfully enthusiastic. You both are so very talented. My vote is for the two of you to keep on like you are that way you both are winners.
Do you understand how BIG you´ve grown in the DIY world? I see a lot of DIY videos from several countries, and the " DIY wife base and legs" is used in a bunch of videos. So happy I found you a while back, I appreciate your skill and your eye for style, and your videos are so professional edited (thanks Dean) so it is pure joy and excitement to watch! I'd say you are both talented pianists! Your bentwood rocker, which turned out amazing, it is from the late 1970s. I have had several over the years and I'd bet someone took a seat or back off of another one to repair it. I have done that and still have one in my storage that needs a a bit of work and some new paint. Those chairs are so comfortable. Love your channel!

My granddaughter now has my mother’s piano and is taking lessons, she’s seven. Someday her home will be filled with music. Your tree is beautiful and full of family memories for your kids. Thank you for a wonderful video. Your story made me recall our proposal story. I went to my wife’s home where her little sister was having a slumber party. Try as i might, I could not get the kids out of the living room, so we went out to my car and while my wife sat in the front seat, i got down on one knee outside the car and proposed. That was 46 years, two kids, and five grandkids ago. Merry Christmas!
My wife started a tradition years ago where we all sit down and make some ornaments each year. One year it will be wood, the next maybe baked clay and paint.. It creates memories and makes the tree very personal and special.

I have secretly always wanted to have actual “Christmas Furniture” that I’d bring in just for December. Maybe that red and green plaid sofa from the 80s and actual Christmas-theme painted furniture.
