You could always buy a flip house! If you don’t want to move from your current house, that is a good option! Love to watch couples flip houses! Y’all are great!
@DIY Wife~ Dean, electricity operates on 60 Hz in the US. It means that the lightbulb is truly turning on and off between 100 & 120 times per second. Our eyes are unable to see the flickering of light but a camera lens can make it easy for you to see the flicker.
Andrea, like you when unloading the cabinets in your office, “I don’t know what to do with his stuff.” 🤷🏼♀️
Reading from that journal was pure content gold 😂😂😂. I hope people appreciate that while Andrea is most definitely a master designer/builder/carpenter, Dean is a master producer/filmer/storyteller.
You make it seem easy, and it isn't! Anyone who produces content for living knows how hard it is to make it fresh and interesting every single time. You're both artists and masters at your craft. Amazing work!
I vote for you buying another house to renovate and rent out or flip, while staying in your current house.
If the house you're in is still the perfect home for your family, keep it. And I'd miss it if you moved! I'm invested 😆

Maybe, you should 1. buy houses to flip and then sell them. So you still have a space where you can relax after a long day of work. 2. Alexandra Gater does small spaces. People submit their requests and you choose the best story to remodel or redecorate.

I think it is totally precious that you guys have been together since you were 17. My husband and I met when I was 17 and he was 19. We married when we were almost 22 and 24. We are now 70 and 81 and have just celebrated our 57th wedding anniversary. It is very cool to be a couple all your adult life. Blessings. And thank you for sharing that history.

I absolutely love your energy and the content you create! Also, it's amazing to me how the weather changes across the US! We are in OH so 50s for us is like "Woo-hoo, it's not freezing, it's Spring!" (LOL) I love that we have such different weather though, that makes it so interesting! Right now we are having pretty freezing temps. It was 8 degrees yesterday and today 26, but we enjoy the changing seasons. Thank you for another great video! I'm catching up and binge watching so I am really enjoying myself inside while it's freezing outside, haha :)

The screens flash because the refresh rate of the screens are different than your camera's shutter speeds. Our eyes don't see the flickering because we process what we see differently than a camera (I'm sure there's some kind of scientific explanation but couldn't tell ya). Camera catches each time the screen refreshes. You can eliminate the flashing by increasing or decreasing the shutter speed to match the refresh rate. It's a fine balance and some cameras aren't fancy enough to completely eliminate the flicker.
Flew to Germany from Iceland last week and watched the entire glass shelf building series. You could say you guys made the time fly

The flickering comes from different frequencies of the screens/monitors. You can adjust the shutter of your camera to that.
