    Parise has been excellent so far since joining the avs. Great defensive player and you can really tell he's giving his all when he's on the ice. The effort from this guy has been unbelievable!

      Agree. He plays end-to-end and goes where he's needed. Great veteran presence too. You need guys like this on your team to make deep playoff runs.

    I was at the late season Jets 7-0 win in Denver, Zach was by far the best player on the ice for the Avs in that otherwise embarrassing game.

    He scored in his first nhl game and his last just a week ago… and he’s got another last game, Zach is stepping up!

    I remember all the trouble he gave the Avs while he was a member of the Minnesota Wild. I'm super stoked to have him on our team for this cup run ... Odds are low it will happen, but they'll have to play the games. Best of luck Zach & the Colorado Avalanche!

    Would love to see him hoist the cup with this great team!

    MN-Native, now living here in CO (for the past 25yrs). ZP is one of the faster guys on the ice, and you know he's giving 100% every shift; you can see it. He makes (sorry to say it) Cogliano, another player well past his prime, look like a Men's League player lost in an NHL game. I sure hope the Avs can make deep run, for many reasons, but also for Parise. Go Avs!

    • @st0rmchild
      @st0rmchild Před 29 dny +1

      Parise is a great addition, but Cogliano is still a warrior. I promise you there will be at least one or two key moments in these playoffs where you're glad Cogs is on the team.

      Also a MN native and been in CO now for almost 20 years. I have a “I married a NATIVE” sticker on my car, LOL
      Always remained a Vikes fan but started following the Avs when we lost the North Stars so it was an easy transition to have a home team when I moved here in 2005.

      @@thenextgreat8652 Haha! Nice. I actually moved here in '96, after I graduated from Mankato State. The Avs moved here that year, and as you know, won the Cup their 1st year, the first of 3. I'd sure love to see the Wild win won, fer'pete's sake. Go Avs (and Wild, too)!

      @@user-sx5dc4sz2z Awesome. Although I didn’t go to Mankato St. I spent a lot of time in Mankato in my early 20’s as I dated a girl who grew up there. Have some crazy stories from that town, LOL. Funny as that was right around the time you would’ve been there as well so it’s possible our younger selves crossed paths at some point 🤔

    The additions and the fine tuning of lines has made the Avs dangerous. The game winner in Winnipeg was a gut shot.

    The Avs line depth is going to be a huge problem to every team in this playoff series. They have outscored their occasionally poor defense plenty of times this season, and if they can put 25+ goals past the Jets who had the best defense in the league, then everyone is going to have a very tough time playing them.

    Hunger for the Cup can be found in many forms. You think Ray Bourque was playing like an old man in his Avalanche Cup run?

    To answer your question it would 100% be MacKinnon to be handed the cup unless landy wants to with a suit on which I doubt he would.

    • @timdowney6721
      @timdowney6721 Před 29 dny +1

      Yes, Mac would get it first, then probably hand it off to Zack next. I’ve seen it with a couple different teams with guys finally getting a Cup. Last one I saw was Toews handing it first to Kimmo Timonen in 2015.

    • @Co_avsnation

      @@Co_avsnation yeah when landy was playing rant n makar rotated wearing the A for the 3rd capt.
      There's also been rumors MacKinnon has been asked if he wanted to wear a C since landy had no chance coming back last season n the rumor is he said landy is still his captain.

    so great you like him, how about you pay him all the money on his contract instead of the wild? then you would not like him so much
