@Howard Bueker he’s a grown man overseeing a professional baseball game. If it was so hurtful or inappropriate he could mentally note it and get in touch with security at the end of the inning. There is no way it justified pausing the game and waddling over to the stands to flail his arms around at nobody in specific.

I mean an “overreaction” is an opinion. So that’s cool I guess.

I don't know the Details on the Pitcher getting tossed. And don't want to.
    -
But the Batters Circle Guy... absolutely right you got tossed CHUMP. The rules apply to you. You cannot alter the plying field. You cannot directly challenge the judgement of the Umpire(s). You got your dumb@$$ tossed and you deserved it.
USING the power Vested in you to do your job is not ABUSING your power.
The BOSSES of that business agreed on the rules and agreed on hiring UMPIRES to enforce those rules. Your BOSSES told their UMPIRES to toss any PLAYERS that give you crap about the rules we have agreed on.
Might the Bosses CHANGE the rules next season. Sure. And the Umpires will change with them. But not getting tossed when you run afoul of the rules. This will never change. You are supposed to be a Gentleman not a Jagoff... read your contract... it includes reading the Rules Books.

As for Fans... even the Ref at the PeeWee game has the RIGHT to EJECT YOU and truth is HE DOES NOT NEED A REASON to do it. So don't be an @$$.
Show good sportsmanship especially at the PeeWee Games for the KIDS. Not for anybody else even though everybody deserves YOU being a good sportsman. DO it for the kids.
Save your Protests to 1 syllable words like "No!" said no more than 2 or 3 times per call and disappointed "AWs". No 1 sylable "F" or "S" or "D" words please.

    I can't say I saw a single umpire overreaction

Don’t tell me you seriously think tossing Beltre for jokingly moving the on deck circle is justified.
