Doesn’t stick around to argue but will call it like he sees it immediately. I’ve respected that about him since the day he got in the league. He fights for what’s his.

Harper would win the award for Least Valuable Player (LVP) . For years the Nats couldn't advance in any playoff. He leaves, they win it all, and Philly can't exceed 500 ball.
@@tokivikerness8863 Harper was touted as a 5 tool player when he joined the league. In his 8 years: BA .276, he has only driven in 100 runs twice, he has avg. 27 HRs and has only hit 30 or more 3 times. As for stolen bases don't get me started; he has been CS at a 27% rate; far below what is expected for a good base stealer. Compare his numbers to Arenado; not even close. Plus Arenado.
Im a huge fan of Arenado and think he is way more valuable than Harper. It's hard to compare stats because Arenado plays at Coors and Harper has played all but one season in a Pitchers park. The thing that separates Arenado is that he is the greatest fielding 3B in the history of MLB. Matt Chapman is very close by the way. But Arenado's defense is immeasurable. Harper is pretty mediocre with an above average but not great arm in RF. Harper as with most of these guys on the list are "Cancers in the clubhouse." Arenado is well respected in his.
@@17Helton I think Arenado could be the best 3rd baseman ever, but he's not there yet. Mike Schmidt and Brooks Robinson are still ahead of him. Brooks was a better glove and Schmidt was a fantastic hitter.
The very best job in the whole wide world, is being and umpire, in baseball, whether it be a high dollar player , a great manager or a fan, they give you any snot, and you toss them.
You know guys I yuse to be a pitcher growing up and when a pitch like that happend sometimes off the plate I would point at the ball where the pitche ended up after it crossed the plate talking to myself. Over the years watching baseball I saw some pitchers do this because they were trying to get the pitch they were throwing over and not trying to argue with the umpire if it was a ball or strike. Most umpires think your talking to them when your throwing the ball but your not your trying to connect with yourself how to make your pitches better and how to get the ball across the plate better relateing to the pitch and not argueing balls and strikes. One time I had to explain it to a umpire in a game that I wasn't argueing calls I was talking within myself to throw the ball better and to get better control of my pitches where my arm landed after each delivery to the plate. Heck even some umpires told me hey kid stop talking to yourself because I was getting soo upset where my arm was landing after I pitched the ball.
Best Story I ever heard was about a young rookie pitcher and Rogers Hornsby...pitching to Mr.Hornsby the pitcher became frustrated that the umpire wasn't calling any strikes, when the umpire calmly told the pitcher when you throw a strike Mr. Hornsby will let you know. For you youngsters Rogers Hornsby averaged around .400 from 1921 to 1925 and finished with the 2nd highest lifetime batting avg behind Ty Cobb.

Every player, should be able to argue balls and strikes! Every player should get one check call every game, where they get to have the ability to check the call! I also think that all of the players at the end of the season should have to rate the umpires, and the lowest group should be replaced!

We need a count and a formal record put in place for Bryce Harper and the number of times he's been ejected when he wasn't at the plate.
3:55 when I ask my nephew what's the 25th letter of the alphabet
But who doesn't hate Bryce Harper tho? the only one worse then him is Manny Machado.
Yuli Gurriel
Thats why baseball is so boring, the sport is slow as fuck to begin with, then they take away steroids, then when we have players with a form of personality such as Harper, Machado, Beltre, Votto, Acuena, Betts, Manny Ramirez its a problem AGAIN. Drop the “old school classic baseball” idea if you even want an inclination of the sport surviving. Its too old school to be bougie drop it n watch
Alex Bent You have a point.
Yuli is literally the best. Stop what you’re saying. Nobody hates yuli.
Jamie Gibbens Harper is much better than yuli
I love how Phillies fans have been whining about accountability from the team the past year or so. How about accountability from Harper, to not keep getting tossed out of games every time something doesn't go his way? He and Girardi are going to compete for how can get thrown out more often this season.
He’s been ejected 12 times which is a lot but u make it sound a lot worse
I think he's only been ejected once or maybe twice as a Phillie. I remember I saw the one time on TV for sure, and I thought the called 3rd strike was a good call.
3:55 when my girl says that we should start seeing other people
Lesson- don't act like a 9 year old, and you won't get thrown out.
I honestly at this point advocate for a computer plate ump...
Why? It adds another layer of depth and excitement to the game. I would argue that you are simply no more than a "casual" baseball fan.
Shane Thacker your argument is invalid
@@ShmacK96 why? Because it isn't yours? Rather childish.
@@shanethacker398 ...i guess you got me...you seem to be oh so wise and know what a person is about by a simple youtube post...must feel great knowing that you are NOT a "casual" fan but a die hard one...so from your post I guess I can assume you ONLY have baseball jerseys in your closet and you live and breathe the team...am I also allowed to deduce that you are an overall douche sport zealot looking down at the rest of us "casual" fans?
@@TheCupitorVeritatis No. Because I asked a simple question and you answered it like a pissed off 4yr old. Grow up.
How many times a year does Harper hurt his team with his spaz-oid cry baby antics?
Good question
Yup. A less talented hitter takes his place in right field, is that guy as good of a hitter. He needs to forget about the umpires and just go up there to hit.
Two things that are consistent, an awful lot of Angel Hernandez and players in different uniforms
I personally love the human element of baseball. Sure not all calls are perfect but it’s the call of the umpire
Every ejection shown was a ridiculous display of stupidity by the umpires.
Baseball is unwatchable now.
Fuck off
I don’t blame Escobar. More than half of his ejections were for bullshit called strikes
One bad call and Harper goes nuts!
Escobar be looking for a walk each team he’s out to bat lmao
glad Harper is now Philadelphia's problem.
I bet you are!
"problem" lmao we all love him you bitter bitch
Yeah it's pretty clear that he's that type of player that isn't worth the trouble he brings along. Tons of talent, very little class, terrible teammate. Why do you think the Nats all of a sudden were WS champs when he left? He'll never help a team go all the way. He'll hit a bunch of HRs but won't be a positive presence in the clubhouse. I'd take a hard pass on having him on my squad. Philly will regret signing him to that ridiculous contract. They won't see another WS title while he's around. Sorry Phils fans!
@@tyslink You sound like a fucking moron, you don't know a damn thing about Harper
@@GHOSTOFONYX10 lol other than everything I just stated about him, yeah I don't know anything about him. You must be a Phillies fan because you sound like an absolute genius. He's good, but not 13 years/330 million good. I don't know if anyone is worth that much...maybe not even Trout. It should tell you something that the Yankees didn't even try for him...but yeah, I'm a moron so what do I know? :)
to b fair those umpire's do escobar dirty those were all balls not strikes
BS, Those were good pitches.
@@alanhess9306 good pitches that umpires gone for strikes. They should learn again where the strike zone is. Most of those calls were outside of it by a lot.
Yunel and Ian both had legitimate gripes in every clip
And I love every time Harper gets tossed!
Harper is a prima donna. I don't like him either.
Harper is nothing compared to Ted Williams who fought in two wars.
I fuckin love Ian Kinsler man. Every single time he was ejected in this reel he had a 100% reasonable beef with the calls going against him. And he sets them straight. Doesn’t stick around to argue but will call it like he sees it immediately. I’ve respected that about him since the day he got in the league. He fights for what’s his.
Bryce Harper wasn't liked by his high school teammates or college teammates because of his temper and 'I don't make mistakes" attitude in the locker room.
I can’t blame them I can hate umpires a lot too but I also think they should keep umps
Harper: $*@@$#&@!! Ump: Go wash your hair, pretty boy.
so what i see is late in the game you dont want harper up because he either goes down looking or striking out.
When get a reputation for arguing, your going to get tossed. Most umps don’t mind you asking about location but when you throw a fit your getting tossed.
It appears the Strike Zone has been expanded and nobody told the Batters.
Should have seen how it was in the 90's. Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux became hall of famers because of the strike zone being expanded a foot off the outside corner for them during this time.
Escobar acts just like a spoiled child
How lmao all of those are horrible calls and umps need to be fined for it
Josh Glover besides that one that was right on the outside corner
It’s probably the toddler haircut. If Harper ever got an adult haircut he’d at least look like an adult while acting a toddler
You can hate how he acts, but you can’t disrespect his flow.
Derek 1300 facts don’t diss the flow
Prince Naz can teach us good sportsmanship
Ian Kinsler is such a great example to kids... Pfft
Pfft wtf u talking about he really didn't get an attitude until the tigers traded him away, before that he was cool.
Stfu Karen
@@ethan3949 I know you're not talking me, you poor excuse for an abortion
Thorndog I was talking about Jon. Chill
A.J. Burnett no longer plays though.
same with yunel Escobar
I could just take Hernandez’s paycheck and hire a koala to call balls and strikes and nothing would change.
You’d have to pay him in eucalyptus leaves. That would be a change.
I wanna see an ump charge the mound and get in a fight
Angel Hernandez is a disgrace to officiating. Purely incompetent.
Harper is a big cry baby.
It seems as if part of the problem is these guys are paid so much money that too much is on the line when they don't perform, so it would make sense they'd go berserk over what they think is a bad call. It doesn't excuse bad behavior though.
Harper would win the award for Least Valuable Player (LVP) . For years the Nats couldn't advance in any playoff. He leaves, they win it all, and Philly can't exceed 500 ball.
Bryce Harper: The biggest underachieving crybaby in baseball
tbh, hes only been underachieving since 2018
He’s over
He’s overrated
@@jacksonfoster126 he is now, but look at his stats from 2013 to 2017.
Mr Chong And the Mighty dumplings Harper totally didn’t underachieve in 2016, cough cough 243 average
Bryce Harper is an overrated punk, just look at his numbers. Nolan Arenado is twice the player.
I don't agree with Harper being overrated but obp is hardly a measure of which player is better.
B B true
The first 3 always get screwed a lot
I'd love to see the overhead shot after some of those calls mixed in there and see who was right
Two of those guys, Burnett and Escobar, played in Toronto and I was glad to see both of them leave. If either were half as good as they thought they were they'd be automatic to the hall of fame but ....
This is why I like golfers. They never get thrown out of the game and throwing temper trantrums.
Angel Hernandez was around for a LONG TIME! Well respected umpire but boy did he suck at it! LOL. I just learned to keep my mouth shut whenever he made bad calls 😂
Every player, should be able to argue balls and strikes! Every player should get one check call every game, where they get to have the ability to check the call! I also think that all of the players at the end of the season should have to rate the umpires, and the lowest group should be replaced!
3:55 MRW my girl asks to look through my phone.
Baseball is a fundamental game it's ok to argue if u think u have been wronged but u need to know when it's the right time so u don't let down ur team. pick and choose your battles
When will we get computers? MLB umps are like boxing judges!
I was an umpire for a few years. Started doing it for the side money since it paid so well. And tax free. I played baseball my whole life so I thought “how hard could it be?!”. Well, it’s actually a lot harder than it looks. However, you’ve gotta have thick skin. Fans will heckle, players will never like your call. You’re always the away team.
David curtis depends on where you are
David curtis I’m saying it depends on where are are as far as paying taxes on the games you umpire. Some places and states don’t require you to pay taxes on that. Mine being one of them. But yes, it is hilarious watching Harper act like a little whiny bitch.
Harper K's 180 times a year.
He should be used to this.
At 1:30, bad home plate umpire and made a bad call of (3rd) strike against Ian Kinsler, and should been a ball because the ball does hit the ground before reaching the home plate. They should have robots to replace umpires at the ball park.
