    In this video, I show in detail how to program a key fob in less than a minute.

    INSTRUCTIONS (just in case I wasn't clear enough in the video).
    1. Turn the key forward
    2. Press the car symbol with the i next to it until you see (Press ⩗ to relearn key)
    3. Press the ⩗ button (you should see "Remote Key Learning Active)
    4. Then hold down the lock & unlock buttons on your keyfob until you hear a beep.
    That's it.

      @@loncoleman2804 , I will have to update the title as I believe most 2014's did not have this feature. 2013 was the last year they had this simple setup with the exception of a few smaller vehicles. Sorry.

      I programmed two more of mine over a year ago and it works fine, then put it away, today I tried them, none of them work? I dropped the original one and lost the battery, so I took the battery off the one I programmed a year ago to my old remote just to lock my vehicle. So why did the memory program one forget its memory?

    But I couldn't see anything you did. What buttons did you press? Your camera wasn't facing what you were actually doing. Can you list steps? Thanks.

      I apologize for that.
      1. Turn the key forward

      I meant to ask you what year your vehicle was. Unfortunately, they removed this feature in 2013 and up. Sorry.

      I have a 2011 surburban. Same remotes you have but when I go to press that button I don’t have an option that comes up that says relearn.

    Discovered that GM actually removed the ability to relearn from the Suburban 1500 LTZ ib 2011 at some point. I have a 2011 and had to have new FOBs programmed at a lock smith who use a scantool. Bought my own bi-directional scantool that had IMMO and can now do it myself.

      It appears my suburban 1500 is the same. I missing that setting on the car. May I ask what bidirectional scan tool you bought that allows you to program your own fob.

      Please note that this feature is not available on certain GM models, like my wife's 2011 Traverse. About a year ago, I bought a couple of blank fobs and a "fastlink" OBD programmer on e-bay. I had the new and 1 old working fob programmed in less than 5 minutes. It worked great! It was way less expensive than going to a dealer or locksmith

      My Dad's 09 Silverado had that light. It turned out to be a bad front impact sensor.

      If your tahoe is a z71, LTZ, or any of the fully loaded packages you need to take it to the dealer or get a locksmith to do it

    Hello, good morning, I have a problem. I don't know if you've seen it, but Suburban 2012 doesn't have the remote replacement key option.

      You are correct. They made it so you have to get one programmed by the dealer after 2011 I believe on the Suburban and 2013 on other vehicles.

      If it does not have that option on the dash unfortunately, you will have to take it to a dealer unless you have or know someone with a expensive scan tool. Thanks for watching.

    Damn mije doesnt work to start button and i have no check engine light at all like no lights at all in the dash any suggestions

      @TerenceDIY no is not on no light on at all it just cranck a bit and dies so idk if it doesn't have enough power or what other reason can it be

      The reason I asked, because if there is any warning indicator light on the dash, the remote will not function properly. Are you only having issues with the truck when you remote start it?

      @@TerenceDIY Yes sir! The one inside the car. The buttons beside the ✅ . I have no option to relearn or reset key of any kind. When I go through it, it goes through each category like car exit lighting on or off car light approaching on or off key lock when out of park. I hope that makes sense. It goes through all of the lock options. Do you think since it comes up at the end reset to factory is that something that I need to do?
      Every time I go to unlock my car now the alarm goes off and it’s extremely annoying I don’t know how to fix it

      @@TerenceDIY I even tried the (put key in, hold down the unlock button, switch key over 2 times)etc. nothing works. Man all I did was replace my battery in my original key fob this weekend🥴
      Now my neighbors despise me cause my alarm goes off every time I have to get in the car.

      Unfortunately, you will have to take it to a dealer unless you know someone with a high tech scan tool that programs the key fob. I don't know why GM desided to remove that option.

      It should be the same or very similar. I believe they stopped this method in 2013 for the Tahoe.
