Mustang II Heater Core Replacement, Ford Pinto, Mercury Bobcat A Detailed Look At Both Heater Boxes!
In this video, I show in detail how to replace the heater core in a Ford Mustang II. I also show the internals of both heater boxes that these vehicles came equipped with (The AC and non AC equipped vehicles).
The Ford Pinto and Mercury Bobcat uses the exact same heater core as the Mustang II. With that being said, the removal and installation should be very similar if not the same.

I have the very same mower. Was out mowing the yard two weeks ago and it just decided it wasn't going into forward or reverse anymore. When it did it slammed into forward so I took my foot off the pedal and it didn't move again. Had to push it back to the garage and there it sits. Neither belt is broken nor frayed.

You know this little tool company called snap on tool has an impact extension thats half inch on one side and 3/8 on the other and about 3 or 4 feet long that works amazing with snap on swivel sockets to remove and install bell housing bolts they also make a small magnet extension to hold your bolts so you don't have to take tape away from the body shop guys. Good shops will have snap on and other professional tool truck coming by weekly to make those jobs simple
Buddee buddee buddee thats all folks, never ever install any seal dry no matter what it's made of unless you like to do it much sooner than necessary. Also you don't use silicone on your rubber seal unless you are an amateur like him. All you need is a light coat of grease. Putting the whole tube of silicone like amateur hour did here shows your unprofessional ability to the next guy who has to do it right next week and clean all that mess off.
Nobody removed your dash speaker that was for mono radios. Your car has the stereo speakers in the doors so they didn’t use the mono dash speaker.
Thank you for sharing that info. I have completely gone through 8 of these Mustang II's over the last 3 years and never noticed that. Maybe because most had aftermarket radios.

At 12:14 that gear that has the “claw / pincher” around it appears to be the gear that is moved right and left to engage 4WD. All my gears fell out when I took this apart. Which way does that gear go back in? It has a flat side to it and I don’t know if that faces differential housing or towards passenger side. Thanks!

Where do you place the jack on the Malibu to put it on stands? Everything I can find says jack it up at the indentations but how does that work if that's where you're putting the stands? You said any questions. 😂

That code relates to the downstream O2 sensor. Have you replaced any o2 sensors?

Maybe you should clean the stove daily so you don't have to use easy off. Especially if you use it everyday. If you're not cleaning off the stove every time you use it you're a filthy.

Did you perform a relearn? Sometimes you can get away with disconnecting the battery for an hour or so and take it for a decent drive to heat up the 02 sensors.

I've done all of this, and the p1101 (manufacturer control)code is still there on my 14 cruze. I have to press down on the gas pedal all the way, especially when getting on the highway and trying to pick up speed/incline. It seems like my fuel leaves really fast too, maybe its a vacuum leak, no other code . I did install the cruze kit on my car,and the code popped up.

Just did had to repair and replace this at my chevy dealer. charged me $2200 for the job and said it was about 10 hours as they had to remove the main seal.
They did not have to remove the rear main seal however, it was the right choice to replace it since you are right there. I arguably have the best rear main seal video on CZcams for these vehicles. If you watch it, you will have an idea on what had to be removed. Thanks for watching.
