awesome! finally found a video that gives some good and relevant information on racing mowers.....thank you sir....for the longest i couldn't find out much info about these things...so ready to build one it's unreal
Thats awesome you responded man. I'm very impressed with this machine. I want to do this exactly with my craftsman 2 frame. Only thing I'm gonna do different is use the mower frame and heavily modify it to accept live axle and racing kart parts kind of like you have done here. I made a racing mower previously but nothing to this level of racing. I am looking pretty much daily for a used v-twin to modify with performance parts like high flow intake/exhaust, dual mikuni carbs. billet rods and flywheel. Chromoly push rods. 1.2 ratio rockers maybe shave the head .040, .010 head gasket. Racing pistons, port and polish the head. Bronze valve guides. Aggresive lift/long duration camshaft. Heavier valve springs, maybe even oversize the valves and do a 3 angle valve job. I'm very inspired to do this build now after seeing a machine like this I feel as if I must build one. I was going to buy a pipe bender and build a racing go kart frame but after seeing this I am starting my rough draft sketches and dimentions on the mower kart and start measuring, cutting, bending, notching, and welding. Is there any tips you can give me that will greatly reduce headaches and frustration on building one of these? Should I do a steering setup like yours with the two tree gears? Or would rack and pinion be better? I would appreciate any tips or tricks you can tell me to help out a first time racing mower builder. I built one before but only did like a pulley swap and chopped the front spindles to lower it 6 inches and welded the transaxle differential so it had posi-traction that was basically it. Thanks man and again this is a very professional build. 10 out of 10
thx, as far as steering we were not allowed to use a rack & pinion setup if we were we would have used one, this frame is square tubing frame with a mower frame welded on top, when you build it make SURE everything is square.
@@MikesBigBlock thanks buddy. I appreciate the tips and I WILL MEASURE 3 TIMES and cut ONCE lol. I'm buying a chop saw and a pipe bender and I have some 90° welding magnets for perfect 90° corners and I'm gonna buy a new level and a magnetic angle finger to set my castor and camber and then set my toe. Since its my first "Real" racing mower build I will be ECSTATIC if it turns out half as nice as yours looks. I'll definitely do rack and pinion since I'm not entering and races that prohibit certain parts. Just doing this for private races on dirt/grass track with friends and see how it stacks up against some tricked out race karts with built predator engines turning 8500 RPM lol. If I can get my hands on a v-twin and a right angle gearbox I think ill give the race karts a run for their money if I dont blow them out of the water lol
@@timstarks1468 hope your build is going well brother. I'm building mine out of a Grey Square body Craftsman 2 riding mower. Had an old briggs 12.5hp flathead I took off of it to put on a Swisher Trail Mower that had a blown up 13hp OHV briggs that was a much newer engine. Catastrophic failure. Shot the Rod right through the side of The Crankcase it was Ruined.
+StarPuss www.ToxicRedNeck.Com on paper anywere from 30-50hp & 60-68 ft lbs of torque the stock hp rating for this motor is 30hp from fatory. max rpm we have spun it on track is $7800 dont want to turn it any harder it makes all its major power mid range.
@@MikesBigBlock I responded with another comment. Thought I was responding to this comment but I guess I hit the general commebt button. Oops lol awesome build tho man 10 out of 10. Very professional
I'm interested in building a race mower but where you guys buy this crap not finding any thing any help would be much appreciated just name off some web sites if you could Thanks.
www.ec carberators.com cart parts and mowers parts and www.bmikarts.com I think they are parts rims tires drive train the whole deal www.g- team racing they are like motor builds and front axle and other part and www.arcracing.com they have motor parts if you build your own motor flywheels, cams, pistons, etc. there is a whole lot of others just put racing mwer art in the url search box nd it bring a ton of websites up
looks expensive...gotta be....if it's anything similar to a racing kart in pricing, which all small engine performance stuff is basically equally as expensive as building a stock modified circle track car....
Dude this was the smoothest video. No bs. Bravo

Where do you buy the performance parts for the Briggs and Stratton engine? Like a Billet flywheel for a 19.5 hp?
arc racing
Looks great how come u brake with your right foot.
+Ryan LaCoe just driver preference & has a hand throttle
what kind
Did you get a new camera? the audio sounds better
+IamOHFARRELL yeah didnt release how bad it was before till i watch it.
Can you use a peerless 700 in a outlaw is there a class that allows a manual shift transmission
most all mower classes allow a manual box most do not allow a straight box
Curious how much it was to build. Definately in the thousands no doubt
Was built for customer final was $3890
