    That's awesome brother!!! Love the Cam and the nice pop to the compression Richard. Can't believe people are asking for proof of numbers, just from the sound of that Kohler with probably a roller cam setup and custom heads and everything else, yes Sir looks speak "Proof" along with the harmony of the exhaust. I've seen these Kohlers on the Dynos pulling a sick 12+K for minutes it seems non stop and YES I've witnessed 121 fuckin HP out of these engines and they hold together! Don't believe me? Check out Midwest Cubs I believe is the engine builders for pulling tractors! Plenty of various videos on CZcams to prove it is more than possible to produce a buck 20 and more and still holding together. They truly blew my mind with seeing and hearing the RPMs, I never would have imagined a V twin doing and not just doing it for a split second in time but holding it! With no real cooling system or ducted fans! Running on methanol you can get away with that for a little while over gasoline, but it's definitely amazing how jealous and anger issues appear whenever there is a complete lack of knowledge, to put it nicely! Stupid fucks! How about this? Before you go and shove your foot down your throats and shovel a pile of bull shit in the comment's, if this happens to piss you off some? Before you look like a complete asshole to the rest of the world, do a little research on your own!!!! There I said it! Richard, beautiful build! Like I said, jealousy and misinformation is what brings about such negative comments like the one I see on the bottom, Rt where it belongs. I've been a machinist / engineer / built plenty of drag cars in my youth, built hundreds of engines from stock to totally decked out custom shit and spent almost my entire younger years as a manager of a very successful small engine shop, now I only get my hands dirty at home on my smaller engined hobbies. I was checking out these race tractors and pulling tractors and their power plants with my own projects in mind just to get more information on how the "world of custom small engine aftermarket parts has become" Growing up a custom race small engine was a pile of shit Flathead Briggs 5hp engine with maybe a billet aluminum rod a 3hp flywheel for size and weight reduction and a block of billet aluminum for a cylinder head for slightly higher compression. A straight pipe usually home grown, a carb off a bigger small engine, and if you were rich enough, a custom made camshaft! That's It! That's all that we had! A sick 5HP Briggs could maybe break 17-19hp on a good day with alcohol fuels but yeah that's all there was in the late 80s early 90s. Shit.......Today the base engines are double the race engines or more HP outputs these days and are multiple cylinders if you want. Sanctioned races were only allowed 5hp Briggs blocks in them back then. So yeah it's come quite a long ways since those days! At the moment I'm trying to get as much information on anyone building any Vanguards out there. I'm building a 21Hp base vanguard Rt now for a Turbo setup. Brand New engine to begin with, ARC Rods, flywheel, cam I'm still feeling out, there's a considerable amount of different companies out there now making camshafts mainly all for a NA engine not a forced induction though, so I'll have to call and talk to some people behind the computer's grinding them out. I'm not racing, it's going in my golf cart for fun that's all with a set of gears and custom 4 link type rear end using the same type snowmobile Salisbury clutch VVT setup. Thanks for posting the video, wish they were more informative for people like me who just love seeing and hearing these things running! BUT we'll take whatever comes out ways. Thanks again Richard and hope you still have that Toy! Sounds like a deadly machine lol but real fun to drive!

    How much power can those cases handle? Also one of the best sounding mowers on YT

    • @FordGTmaniac
      @FordGTmaniac Před 3 lety +2

      As it is here, a naturally aspirated engine like that can make about 125HP when tuned perfectly. A supercharged engine could likely be double that, but those are illegal under the USLMRA rules, and with that kind of power in such a small package it would likely rupture the block and throw the crank on the ground.

      @thecrimsonfucker2334 Před 3 lety +1

      @@FordGTmaniac Thanks for the reply! I acquired a Briggs 1000cc and was wondering how much I could really stuff in that thing

    • @FordGTmaniac
      @FordGTmaniac Před 3 lety +1

      @@thecrimsonfucker2334 A 1000cc engine could probably make a little more than 125HP actually. The engine that's in this mower here (and most others in FXT class as well) is 750cc. The most recent iteration of the rulebook seems to have eliminated the engine size limit however, so you're free to go as big as you want now.

    • @thecrimsonfucker2334
      @thecrimsonfucker2334 Před 3 lety +1

      @@FordGTmaniac I'm pretty familiar with bike engines so I know a lot can be done with 1000cc's. I'm really wondering how much the blocks can realistically handle ; I Imagine max would be right around your estimate. I dont see them being stout enough for 200 plus HP or TQ and be remotely reliable

    How does the rear axle work, how you get the seat to sit so low?

    • @FukTheGovernment465
      @FukTheGovernment465 Před 2 lety +1

      It's a race go kart live axle set up, nothing new man. You build your own custom frame/body to allow the seat to sit low in the chassis.

    • @rudyrayaaw5138
      @rudyrayaaw5138 Před 2 lety +1

      look close, there is a jack shaft just in front of the seat and a chain drive just to the left of the seat at 0:27.

  • @ericlee7665
    @ericlee7665 Před rokem

    With no forced induction those numbers are way off bro. Especially on alcohol. Maybe 50 max. With 10 pounds of boost maybe 80. I do love the crackly cam sound in that huge tuba of an exhaust pipe.
