I am 57 and from Costa Rica. I spent my life watching Hollywood and English movies, until one day I fortunately ran into Joddha Akbar in Netflix and I have been watching Bollywood ever since. But the soft power of India caught me, I don't think about the "indian dream" but I have learned to respect our differences and our incredible similitudes. India takes my breath away through its history, it's music, it's intense everything! Colors, aromas, flavors and dramas. I have learned to love and dream India first through Bollywood yes, but now through all I can find. It is great that the Hollywood hegemony is finally over and just one more of all the fantastic Asian, Oceanic and Latin America soft powers.Thank you India for always being a beacon for joy!

Love your honest approach to all news and always recommend your channel but to be honest, dancing and music is what you want to relax. When I take a longer flight, I opt for Bollywood every time. There is at least a soul. I love old Egyptian movies and Indian ones because they have a soul. None of the boy band or girl group members have any professional musical degree, but they are handpicked for their looks, groomed, trained in dancing and singing, and pretty much advertised as "awesome". Even the type of music they produce is specifically designed based on market demands, so they appeal to the international market.

As a Afghanistani it’s very rare for me to watch Indian movies it’s just fucking too damn boring , focused on only one culture ( Indian ) it’s always about dancing 💃, about a girl , about falling in love 😍 It’s always cliche and repetitive a stories . I’m not interested in Bollywood movies , I don’t learn anything about anything from their movie . It’s just west of time .
