Nepotism is the major factor why people don't want to see bollywood movies. They don't select talented ones in the movie. Shocking is still the same 50-60 year old guys is doing the role of a hero in a movie !! And with the help of media, PR stunts and money in hand they make their movie forcefully hit to remain that stardom

I believe the taste and preferences of the audience has also changed. Now contents from all over the world are easily available thanks to OTT platforms. We have options, if Bollywood keeps serving half baked products, then people too would react accordingly.

Bollywood actors & producers are trying to invade other parts of India/other Indian cinema, if you know what I mean 😅 It’s obvious, disgusting…and I hope directors/producers from other parts of India.. who have a solid movie industry built on REALITY (realistic acting, talent/actors) and humility won’t be infiltrated by a lower, pseudo force 🙏

The basic reason for failure o Bollywood industry are as follows :-
1)The industry never grown with current audience or the present people interest
2)After launch of OTT people have option to watch any kind of movie from any language the barier of language has been broken
Indian people started watching Malayalam ., Tamil movies which are low budget movies but with amazing artistic and realistic narration and with good content.
3)bollywood stuck with same pattern and template stories and hero/hereon oriented movies
4)Huge money flow and nepotism made the industry to stick with what they had in the last
    5) A major reason of the failure is stories - After 2014 - The govt is interfering more in to ART or PR, they will interfere in to movie contents, the govt dont allow critics or any kind of stories which will be against their views - so the writers will not have any kind of freedom ...but in southindia it is in reverse , they have much freedom to express in art/movie .. it reflects in good content

Bollywood will fight back, it has always done it and will do it again. This similar era came in 80’s when people started having TV in there houses just like how OTT has come and many people got hooked to watching TV at home than going to cinema . That’s why 80’s is also considered to be one of the worst eras of Bollywood ( offcourse we dint have so much media otherwise there must have been a similar video in 80’s also calling ‘ Is Bollywood Over’” but the 90’s came and it came back bigger than before. And again now we are seeing a beautiful but slow rise again and by 2025-2030 Bollywood will be back bigger than before !

Most of the hindi speaking actors/actresses are interested in doing films for foreign languages. They believe that it will give them international fame. Often they look for quick money. There are many possible reasons for the people to go to theatre. But to spend 300 bucks for a movie which they can get to see on OTT within 30-45 days of its theatrical release, is it that worthy? I doubt so. People may want to go to watch a film in theatre but only if they feel it is worthwhile.

11:57 here's the crux of the matter, prior to the internet, the major Bollywood studios with the help of organised crime consolidated distribution of cinema in India so had an effective monopoly.
Since the arrival of high speed internet post 2000s, a new generation of Indians have had greater access to global cinema and media unlike those before them.
That alongside rising literacy rates have created a more relatively sophisticated and refined taste for media than before.
More and more younger Indians find Bollywood crude, primitive and puerile compared to foreign cinema of the US, Europe, China, Hong Kong, Korea and Japan among others.
Bollywood has a dilemma, the majority of their audience are still the older generation who put up with their complacent cinema for the past 50 years and are declining whilst the new emerging youth are sizeable and don't feel like they owe their time and money to this dated and cringe ridden relic of a bygone era of monopolistic cinema.

Overall, this video doesn’t say much and is bereft of point. TLDR - Bollywood is falling because the South is out-Bollywooding Bollywood. But as an Indian you already know that all regions are catching up to a point of parity in almost everything, films included - and Bollywood was never the best of Indian cinema anyway, just the most popular, which it continues to be on a pan-India basis.

You are mistaken if you think the 'golden era' of 'bollywood' started in the 90's. Hindi cinema was at it's peak from the 1950-1970's when good family dramas were made. Later on the underworld kings from India and the Middle-east started financing 'bollywood' movies and had a say in the top stars, story line, content etc which saw the rise of all the 'Khans' and also of heavy doses of violence and sex.

Are script writers gone dead in india
I dont find creativity in indian movies anymore except malayali movies.
Whether its bollywood with same actors and actresses pairing with one another
Telgu and tamil just making action and rowdy movies

I watched the documentary and insightful it was; covered virtually all the factors but for the biggest and the the most important of all.The advent and rise of so called social media platforms such as instagram, tiktoks etc....This is the biggest reason for the degradation of the world cinema not just the bollywood. There will always be some film industry doing better than the other.Perhaps Bollywood is not doing as great as compared to other indian movie industries presently but it is a global phenomenon rather than just bollywood not doing well. When all the people in the world are hooked or addicted to the nonsense and worthless content that social media is propogating ;in a world where every single individual has the means and tools to produce their own little content(however inappropriate and worthless it may be) without any form of cencorship(cinemas are still subjected to regulations and cencorships) and has the algorithms to make it spread like a wild fire thus in the process getting instant recognition by the entire world , it is no wonder that the traditional movie industries and their stars have lost the charm.
Here comes the era of becoming a star from the comfort of your bedroom by just saying hello guys ....
    You dont need hard work
    You dont need knowledge
    You dont need capability
    Anymore.......
But hats off to those who do put in a lot of effort to produce some meaningful content even on social media!

Too much of anything will always lose its appeal. That's happening now in bollywood. It will happen in all film industries. There's so much good content everywhere, and it's very easy to produce content now. The same repeated content/theme will lose the demand.
And may be people are tired of watching so much content as well.

I would say this video didn't aged well 😂. The king of Bollywood Mr. Shah Rukh Khan has saved the Bollywood by giving highest revenue earning film for Hindi speaking belt in India. And the main reason for downfall of Bollywood is nothing but BJP guys who's calling boycott for almost every film, 2nd reason is Bollywood guys are not making films in Hindi anymore, everything is in English from film title to the dialogues. An ordinary indian could not understand it. These are the only reasons why Bollywood had 2 terrible years in terms of revenue. But now I can say very much Bollywood is back.

Not so much nepotism. But rather the fact that they simply copy South Indian films and just want to put a North Indian ethnic phenotype in the lead role .
Their music also samples, heavily, from foreign musicians. At one point they were plagiarising old 1980s & early 1990s songs from Africa. Very cheeky because copyright ©️ laws are almost nonexistent on the continent, but I recognised sooo many, they did not sample they used the entire tune only writing , obviously, different lyrics to match the film - but the entire melody was from another song. No mention of the original artists in the credits.
Worst & unforgivable for me is they; word for word, copy South Indian films but advertise to the audience as if it's a new fresh idea. It's insulting and deceptive to the audience. Salutations to Sharuk for exposing Billu Barber was a South remake. Bollywood also promotes a westernised culture, I find South is more honest in showing the culture. The South just needs to stop self harming with tasteless mocking of darker skin colour Indians especially when darker skin colour Indians are more genetically closer to the ancient Dravidian original inhabitants of the valley before invasions that brought in the colour caste system.

  • @TheNitinrai

Poor storylines shamelessly plagiarised from Hollywood and other global cinema movies which the Hindi audience doesn't relate to. Bollywood was once famed for its unique musical soundtrack but now music composers are churning out either mostly remixes of old songs or tunes "inspired" by other artistes.
Times have changed so much that filmmakers don't really know what type of movies fo make. 1950s Nehru socialism gave Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar. 1970s Emergency period doled out angry young men like Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha etc. Then 1990s n 2000s economic liberalisation churned out Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan.
How do you define today's era? How is the mood of public like? Filmmakers dont know that so they dont know what type of films to make
Lastly, one can attribute Bollywood's failure to nepotism, in the aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput's death, who was seen as a rising star. There is a segment of audience that views Bollywood industry with distrust due to the involvement in anti national activities and drugs etc.

Thats Telugu not tulugu first do your research properly and spelling it correctly and may be you have giving some good as points in this but the way you said its media and geo political driven but we in india respect the story equally if its good enough irrespective of the language or film industry. Your reporting should be neutral but not driven by western or leftist narratives. Very shoddy reporting by you guys targeting india in all instances without looking to other side of the coin, which paints a real intention of your media channel
