Game Description:
Mafia: Definitive Edition is an action-adventure video game developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K Games. A remake of the 2002 video game Mafia, for Microsoft Windows PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game is set within a redesigned version of the fictional city of Lost Heaven (based on Chicago) in the 1930s, and follows the rise and fall of taxi driver-turned-mobster Tommy Angelo within the Salieri crime family.
Conceived as a full remake of the original, Mafia: Definitive Edition was built from the ground up with new assets and an expanded story, although missions and arcs from the original game are carried over. As with the 2002 game, players control Tommy Angelo throughout the game's single-player campaign, and its world is navigated on foot or by vehicle. New to the remake is the introduction of motorcycles, a first in the series. Mafia: Definitive Edition's gameplay mechanics are based on those of Mafia III. A 'Classic Difficulty' setting will also be included.
In 1930, after being strong-armed into helping two members of the Salieri family - Paulie and Sam - escape an ambush by the rival Morello family, impoverished taxi driver Thomas "Tommy" Angelo is assaulted by members of the Morello family in an act of revenge. While he is rescued by the Salieri family after calling in a favor Don Ennio Salieri promised him, Tommy loses his job after his employers learn about his involvement with the Mafia. With a lack of job opportunities due to the ongoing Great Depression, Tommy is forced to accept Salieri's offer to join his organization, and soon befriends Paulie and Sam as they complete various jobs together.

I expected a more heart-touching dialogue at the final cutscene with Frank at the airport. He just got in the plane without saying anything, what the hell.
I know right but still it's still great imo.

Where in the * is it ever implied all of this? Frank was just not a war-time consigliere, like Tom Hagen, and he was tired of all the killing, but he was blackmailed into snitching, that's why he quit. That's it.
In the original, Tommy lets him go, he goes "I'll never forget this" and leaves. It's because of the prostitute that they find him again, not Frank's fault.
in the remake, Frank just nods, leaves, and gets himself caught because of gambling.
This is what happens when inferior writers want to add their own "flair" to the story but they are not able to. They change s* for the hell of it, and make it worse.
If you flank around to the left once youre at the airfield, you can avoid all the guards and run into the cutscene and complete the mission without firing a bullet

I instinctively went left and got it done on classic without shooting anyone. I was actually underwhelmed by how easy this mission was. Game is great but some of the changes in missions feels like they’re lacking such as this one.

The first cutscene from this mission reminded me of the mission "The Master and the Molotov" from GTA 4

When you realize that you paid $40 to Biff for the information he gave you and that accounting for inflation, it would've been about $850 in 2021's money

that is messed up.. so it turns out that Frank did in fact believe Salieri's people would save both him and the books from what the gentleman at the bank said yet he gets wacked anyway.
The guy at the bank is just a regular friend who gets paid to look out for them. Frank and Tommy are parts of the family, they surely know better how dark and twisted their boss or their job actually is than the bank guy.
I don't blame Frank he just wanted out of the mafia mentality
I think the pilot may have given up the fact that Frank was still alive to Salieri. He was the only loose end for Frank’s escape.
If he didn’t tell Salieri how would Salieri know to look for him in Europe?
well in the story at the ends I forgot who says it but it's a guy who's placing big bets in Europe on races & that's how they found out
Frank got caught because he was making bets at the dog tracks in Europe, a friend of Salieri found him by chance

@@monkeyboy140 that’s told by Sam before he died. But I think the don knew that Frank was still alive. He probably didn’t know where exactly he was in the home country until Frank showed up at the tracks.

Tom was a good guy with a good heart. He can't kill his friends. Frank even explained him why he did that.

Almighty KD tommy has no regrets for looking after his family, he didn’t care if he died and did what he had to do to protect his family
Ennard Dude he may have been a good guy but he didn’t have any problem killing anyone else in the game for example he was cool ash about killing that city councilman and most likely would’ve killed the prostitute if Sam hadn’t gave him another option remember this Tommy is different from the old one
@@ennarddude2044 his explanation sounded like a poor excuse because mafia isn't a club in which you can enter and leave whatever you want. if you enter the mafia you can only leave it through your own death.

2:55 Where are the Don's bodyguards? OH, thank goodness, there they are! (...) A several meters away, but, there they are. It would have brought them a little closer, but it doesn't matter. It is consistent and acceptable to me.
4:09 I envy his physical condition.
6:56 The detail of radio interference, when you going through the tunnel, is really nice.
24:03 The girl grew considerably. I was expecting that "thank you sir" that she throws at us once we spared Frank's life ... but it's better this way, nobody wants a little girl involved in such a rugged affair as vendettas or shooting in a international airport!

@Ibrahim Sultanovic Nono, I just run from the balcony to the hangar and even they shoot after me, it stops when I enter the hangar door. :-) stupid...

As soon as you get off the balcony through the wooden stairs, take the runway at your left, move quietly and put the guard beside the runway to sleep. Then go straight and go behind the hangers and as you take right when you have a chance, your objective marker is just few steps ahead.

Frank just wanted out of the mafia business tommy may have let him live but in the end salieri found him in europe so sad that things had to end for him and his family.
This mission is bugged for me. Frank’s car gets to the airport and freezes

Ok plot hole. The Don knew frank was not at home but yet after tommy let frank go, Tommy goes and burns his house down. Wouldn't the Don find this odd?
Removing evidence for the Don
I've been wondering about this, i think Tommy burned the house that the feds were keeping him in but even so, surely there would still need to have been evidence of franks body along with his wife and daughter.

@@aaaronpg Maybe after Tommy lets Frank go and collects the books from the deposit box, he goes straight to the Don and tells him that he intercepted Frank at the airport and that he let his family leave on the plane before taking Frank out to the woods and killing him.
Maybe the Don decides it would be best for everyone to believe Franks family are dead, to discourage Morello from pursuing March Colletti and her daughter, and to also send a brutal message to anyone thinking of betraying the family so he sends Tommy to burn the house and the Don uses his contacts to have it appear as though Frank and his family died inside.
Man the brightness in certain rooms is way too high
Mafia 3 had the same problem before the updates.

Completed already.. my question are:
-why they delete yellow pete and many others from the remake?
-why the game ai is so stupid?we are in 2020! Hope for some patch..
-why theTommy movement are so woody? Hope for some patch?
-why they don`t make something
like enter in special areas like autodrome or airport or some other place in the endgame and for example make laps in autodrome or something..
-why they dont let us choose which music we use for every mission..( like to have a walkman..)
In the original the music in the first missions was beautiful, happy.. and slowly slowly become disturbing (just right the situatuon that is a genious idea from illusion soft...)
-and then swimming on the sea was too much?
The Game was completed only to 70% based on my personal opinion.. i was more happy if they postponed it for another year.
I just want to clarify that i didn't want a game similar to GTA, for me mafia was the best game that i play in my life and this is unacceptable..
I finish original mafia at least 30 times... and this is offensive........
One more thing is the italian dubbing of Paulie that is really disaster plus the final mission dialogue of Tommy and Sam that you can't compare with the original.. why this big changes in dialogues?that are not needed at all...
I think they were running out of time, the earlier parts of the game are kind of higher quality than the rest but it’s okay for me. As for the ending being changed, I'd like to think it’s because of remake Sam's changes from the original. In the OG he was like a supporting character, the silent but deadly acquaintance of Tom and Paulie, meaning Sam didn’t have much personality then. In the remake, Sam became more of a gentleman and savvy guy, and this Sam actually seemed to treasure the moments with his friends, you could see it his final moments, instead of saying friendship ain’t worth shit, he reminisced about the fun times they had.
