It is a shame that Mafia 2 didn’t get the best treatment as Mafia 1 did.
The only thing Mafia 2 was fixed is the clothes physics. I missed when coats had physics.

I like the combat ragdolls in mafia 3 , whenever you kill an enemies, they represent some pain sounds, and how they are struggling it

Mafia 3 is underrated
I love this game so much, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to know whether the original versions were better than the remastered ones. I only played Mafia 1, the original one, years ago, and only few missions as the CD we had couldn't play past the 4th or 5th mission of I remember correctly...
But still I just loved it anyway, and always found myself trying it again hoping it might just be able to pass that mission but no, it never did. But since then it's been stuck on my mind until recently when I purchased the three of them, these newer ones. So far I've been playing the first one, and I've just done the bank mission, I started playing it yesterday, and so far so good, I'm so excited! Can't wait to start Mafia 2 and Mafia 3, got all of them downloaded on my console!
I have both versions on my xbox one and I really enjoy playing Mafia 2 old version more
still mafia 2 is the best😁😁 both graphics, geometry and of course the storyline

mafia 2 storyline is worse than third one:
- faceless protogonist - check. What's Vito motivation, what he wants, why he does what he does? No answear in game, just situations where the main character falls
- no story ending. We have 2 hours my ass prologue and opening, but you can run the game for 7-9 hours, whats happens with storytelling? Why a years of life just skipped, what up with the paising?
- empy city. Why it is in that story? We have like one shopping for clouth and probably thats it. No side quest, no interesting situations, no any collactables (playboys maybe, but find it in empty city), all that resources that was wasted on empty city should be invested in storyline
- ending, there are no ending, its not classy, its not creative, its just bad and unfinished.
Long story short, I never understand why everybody loves Mafia 2, poor main character, a big holes in story, bad unfinished ending, empty city etc.. But third one of course is the most hated...
And atmosphere!!!

After you meet Guiseppe in Mafia 2, you can pick locks to car doors. In Mafia 3, Burke will teach Lincoln how to steal cars without breaking the window. Before getting the favor from Burke, Lincoln will smash the window and gain police attention.
In Mafia 2, you can also unlock doors by picking it to steal cars.

I've to say while Mafia Remake was basically a Mafia 3 remodeling, it did a good job keeping both the modern graphics and original quality aspects of the game. But it still is half baked in major parts of the game world

I absolutely love Mafia 2. Hopefully they remake that game someday. I get why Mafia 1 was remade and Mafia 2 wasn't ofc. Mafia 1 the original was so outdated but Mafia 2 is aging pretty damn well graphically.

mafia 2 is literally one of my favourite games ever, i replay it all the time, but only played mafia 1 one time and barely even got into mafia 3 because i find the gameplay super boring. i so wish they put actual effort into remaking mafia 2 and fix the bugs but honestly it is such a great game and feels like it has barely aged. for me, story and characters in 2 are just the best (and the radio!!)

5:39 cant you either lockpick or break window in every game? the only difference about mafia 3 than the other 2 games is that you can only break the window or only lockpick, you can lockpick when giving more places to one of your underbosses or whatever they are called but vito, burke, and cassandra
that's what i was thinking, after so much goes to Burke you have a perk of unlocking cars faster and being unnoticeable, otherwise you break the window to get in lmao
I am playing remastered Mafia 1 right now. I should say that is a really great part of the trilogy.
But my first love is the second Mafia. I have passed it more than 5 times, it was a real impression)

Mafia 2 literally has a whole game mechanic of you manually picking a car's lock. This is unlocked very early into the game. Whereas in Mafia 3 the lockpicking unlocks towards the middle/end to the game and it's not interactive like Mafia 2.
Please do one of Final Fantasy VII Remake video game. Open World . Then Atomic Heart. Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition. Mafia 2 Definitive Edition
played all 3 and for me 1 was best for police reactions and tbh anything to do with the driving aspect of the game

Man Imagine a game starting in Italy where you build your mob, different cars, ppl speak italian etc. Then you take your family over to america to expand, would be so cool if we could smuggle guns to italy and do some money laundry. I hope for more side missions like collecting protection money stealing cars etc.
If they could implement the feature from the Scarface game where you would buy stores to "wash" your dirty money. You had 2 amounts of money. Clean money wich you could keep after beeing busted and dirty money wich you would loose.
Would add some strategy and ppl who only want the Main story could sinply ignore the side missions. That would be the best way for Story focused Players AND for Open world players

I am making a very unpopular opinion, but Mafia DE has the best graphics, atmosphere,weather, etc. Even cutscenes and facial expressions looks like movie. Then Mafia 3 DE also have good graphics. But Mafia 2 DE has worst graphics. Literally car details looks very unrealistic and fake lighting effect is cherry on top 🤌

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven was more ahead of its time. Gameplay and grafics, it was the best looking game from 2002. Mafia II was not the best looking game from 2010.

I like Mafia 1 story the best, the plot and character development is better. But in terms of open world experience Mafia 2 is better (you can do a lot more). Haven't played Mafia 3 yet, but my brother says it's good too.
In terms of open world experience, then mafia 3 is the go to the world feels pretty alive and there's little details thrown in there, the details definitely aren't as good as mafia 2 but the fact you can explore the entire city and find little things is cool.

in mafia 2 there is a second way to steal a car, this is a hack and not a current of breaking glass
I finished Mafia 1, and currently on chapter 7 mafia 2. so far Mafia 1 takes the lead for me. the graphics, story and seamless game play. the only issue is the aim assist in both games are both trash. I MO.

Yeah running out of fuel made things fun. Shame that M3 doesn't have it at all. That's what made the Mafia game unique. That and the wheels remaining locked left or right when you exit the car.

In my opinion mafia 3 was an unfinished product. The storyline was great but the gameplay was a letdown.
Imo the gameplay was improved upon. just didn't like the business thing as In taking over something before the main story mission but even then I still found fun in it finding different ways to approach them.

I’ve been playing thru Mafia 2 lately, love it, but I’ve been getting a blinding light glitch that drops me down to 7fps and completely kills my entire sight line. Super annoying, I don’t even wanna play it anytime I encounter the glitch. A 0.25 mile drive takes like 20 minutes.

Check out the games The Godfather 1 and 2. Both are a ton of fun and it allows you to customize not only your guy but your henchmen and the colors of you coats and everything to makes everyone match haha. The missions and story line are really good. It’s what I expected the mafia games to play more like but I still have fun playing the mafia games I just can’t get the godfather since i don’t have a cd thing on my pc

2:36 Well problems like these only occurs when you play the "Definitive Edition" version of the Mafia 2.Mafia 2 DE was really awful compared to the original version if you own both of them in PC.
