I tried it tonight. What is this ? This is so easy and effective. Is this legal ??? It feels like a cheat code...
The best advice that changed my understanding was : not trying to sweep the leg, and just to quickly hit the mat with my butt. Too easy, too effective. I was almost ashamed to do it.
Thank you mister Stevens. I would so like to send you some cash to show my appreciation, but I am broke as hell ! ( maybe if I wasn't doing so much judo I could be richer ... )
As soon as I make some cash, I will by a video ( I really want to watch some ).

That's really my favourite combination, can't wait to land this one day. But with kouchi makikomi I'm not really using the right technique to bring down my partner but just tackling him.

Would you use this in bjj? I really like the set up and see opponents in this type of position when standing but feel that I might get my back taken once we are down.

yeah you will get your back taken once you bring them down, but after you take them down, if you keep rolling then quickly turn so that you are in a dominant position (north-south/side control for example) then its useful
